You are able to use your shield to defend nearby allies. Any teammates who remain nearby gain a bonus to their defense. Additionally, while this power is active, the user and his teammates will gain some resistance to defense debuffs and recharge rate debuffs (Brutes only). As a stalker, you can also provide stealth to your teammates if you too are hidden (Stalker only).

Yes. It has a small radius, like 8 ft or so, so it basically applies to other melee character fighting right next to you.

The radius is 15’, so provided people aren’t playing at long ranges, they’ll be hit by it.

It's a very nice power for your team typically it'll net teammates 10-15% defense, just not yourself.  Super Manuevers.  Though you do get the DDR from the power which builds real well into Shield.  Be a nice teammate and take it.

 

The one power in Shield I can possibly see skipping is Phalanx Fighting.  Any bonus from teammates you'll need to be in neck bite range of them.

Except Phalanx Fighting grants an unenhanceable auto defense bonus with no teammates in range.  I believe the Tanker number is 5%

Yes it has a base then the bonus per additional teammate in a real tight area of like 3% per.  And as you say its an auto costing no endurance plus can mule a lotg.  I'd take the power yeah I was just saying if you needed to find something not to take to make room for other powers that'd be the least valuable one I guess.

I just use this typically for an LotG 7.5% mule. If my character needs HP or more resistance, I can maybe find a way to get some more slots and slap 3 or 4 more Shield Walls, or LotG in it. But those slots are tough to find. If I teamed more, I might make more of an effort. Team buffs are really good lately, so one doesn't need to spend that many slots making a build great, but when you solo a lot, it's kind of necessary.
