Wanting to rename a super group

Really love to rename my SG on Everlasting.

 

It's currently called True North Legion.  Which, as we discovered, is also the real world name of a national hate group and we'd kind of like to not be named that.

 

We do have a name in mind. Force Ten Armigers.  And yes, it's also a Rush reference.

 

Please let me know if this is possible and what I have to do.

I've often wished for this, as well- though for different reasons.  I don't know if it is possible without the Devs going into the game to reset something.  In your particular case, there's certainly a valid reason for needing to do so, so maybe they can help you out with that.  Or maybe it's not possible.  I have no actual idea how it works, tbh. 🤷‍♂️

Send an in-game petition from the account that is currently the SG leader, with the SG name as it is currently, along with the SG name that you'd like it changed to.

 

There's no guarantees, but worth a shot.

A GM can do it once petitioned, but it's at the GM's discretion from what I understand.

Despite the date this was posted, I believe that it's still an option. If I recall correctly, you get 1 rename.

As others have said, getting the Devs to change it is likely the only way, but you have a strong case for them to act.

Adding my voice to the confirmation.   I've changed two supergroup names with help from the GMs.

Put in a support ticket, and the GMs can help you. I changed my SG name by telling them what it was and what I would like it to be. They even suggested a better name for it (they suggested a better version of one word in mine) and we rolled with it! This was my first time ever asking for this, so I don't know how many times it can happen.

According to the Super Group Registrar in Atlas' City Hall, and using its "Show me all of the registered Super Groups" search, the OP's SG no longer exists on Everlasting. Unless the OP returns, we'll probably never know whether it was renamed or disbanded. 

 

Clicking the Registrar, then the "Show me..." dialog, then using the Name search at the bottom right of the window is a great way to see if a potential new SG's name is already in use OR extremely close to one that's in use. I prefer to do it that way rather than randomly brainstorming while staring at the Super Group Registration screen when my first few ideas are already in use. 

 

That window also USED TO show the Top 100 SGs on a server, ranked by prestige that had been earned -- but I have NO idea what the current top 100 is based on.
