Ukase Posted September 20 Posted September 20 A picture says it best, I guess. Toxins, the plant secondary version of Build-up. Looking in the detailed info, there's nothing about doing extra damage, yet the description says extra toxic damage. Is it DoT? How much? How many ticks? Or does it not do any damage? If not, why does it say it does? Or do I put this under typos or bugs?
Uun Posted September 20 Posted September 20 It's a proc with the amount of damage determined by the power's base recharge and area factor. [MagExpr] points of Toxic damage (all affected targets) Magnitude Expression: 55.612 * (0.16 * minmax(power.base>rechargetime, 0, 20) + 0.36) / power.base>areafactor https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=blaster_support.plant_manipulation.toxins&at=blaster https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=temporary_powers.temporary_powers.plant_manipulation_toxins&at=blaster Uuniverse
macskull Posted September 20 Posted September 20 This isn't a bug, it's just a limitation with how powers info is displayed ingame. "If you can read this, I've failed as a developer." -- Caretaker Proc information and chance calculator spreadsheet (last updated 15APR24) Player numbers graph (updated every 15 minutes) Graph readme (now with Victory support!) @macskull/@Not Mac | Twitch | Youtube
Shin Magmus Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I agree that it would be nice if powers like Toxins and Brimstone could show their dmg values under detailed-info, but yeah due to limitations and variance they can't. It's a bit unfortunate since this is one of a few cases where the detailed info can basically trick the player who takes the extra effort to read it, but that's just how it is. Toxins is a GREAT power BTW. After reading this comment, you gain Wet. MTeague Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I would find it hard to come up with a proper themed character to use /Plant Manipulation, but I also haven't put a whole lot of thought into that prospect. Maybe Storm/Plant, for some kind of angry nature spirit? .

Some of them, the animation looks like it should one-shot small neighborhoods, but it's still only going to do regular damage for that blast tier. I get what they were going for, but the disconnect doesn't work for me. .

Maybe Storm/Plant, for some kind of angry nature spirit? Dark Blast/Plant Manipulation -> A shadow plant entity from pick realm (shadow realm, qlipphotic realm, whatever realm) Electrical Blast/Plant Manipulation -> Malign or violent nature spirit Energy Blast/Plant Manipulation -> Inverse of Dark/Plant idea, also bio-energy plants Fire Blast/Plant Manipulation -> Entity of the cosmic cycle (destruction and rebirth) Ice Blast/Plant Manipulation -> Variant of Fire/Plant idea, except winter-spring themed Psychic Blast/Plant Manipulation -> Uses psionics to attack and control vegetative matter, or plant that gained sentience and associated psychic powers Radiation Blast/Plant Manipulation -> Science experiment gone wrong (or right?) Seismic Blast/Plant Manipulation -> Standard earth-plant approach Sonic Attack/Plant Manipulation -> Plants that use vibration as self-defense (or use sonics straight up if preferred) Storm Blast/Plant Manipulation -> Variant of Electric/Plant, also storm attractor entity concepts Water Blast/Plant Manipulation -> Standard water-plant approach (variation of sentient aggressive cactus creature?) Just some thoughts from scanning the Blaster list. Edit: Any gun(s)/Plant Manipulation -> Modern or Sci Fi druid. Archery/Plant Manipulation -> Martially minded druid. Edited September 20 by Rudra 1
Ukase Posted September 21 Author Posted September 21 The character in question is water/plant. I appreciate the additional info. Spoiler 1

I have two — a Fire/Plant named Pozharnaya Sornyak ('Fire Weed') and a Dark/Plant named Toksichniy Podlesok ('Toxic Undergrowth') with the Dark blasts recolored to look like she's shooting plant toxins.
