Schiz0 Posted Tuesday at 09:46 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:46 PM Please make Force Field Generator invulnerable and/ Or invisible in some way. It is very annoying when (in my case) I am Illusion/Traps and I am in Superior Invisibility and if I have FFG out then everyone can see it and attack it. I play it a lot though with other toons since it is one of my favorite secondaries. It gets attacked and I have to re-summon it. The CD is short, and right now it is only 6 seconds, so it has nothing to do with CD times. It is just more of a QoL issue I suppose. You could even turn it into a version of Dispersion Bubble since they are basically the same thing. I also would not mind a re-work and/ Or new powers to replace Trip Mine(TM is actually very nice damage, but it takes way too long to place it. So even if you made it instant and made the CD longer it would be more valuable imo) and Temporal Bomb is mostly useless from what I have seen, but the FFG issue bothers me a lot more 🙂
tidge Posted Tuesday at 09:54 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:54 PM IIRC Grant Invisibility works on the FFG... I long ago respec-ed out of GI, but I recall casting it on pretty much everything of mine I could target. 1 2
Psyonico Posted Wednesday at 03:16 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:16 AM As an illusion controller, you have access to the wonderful "group invisibility" which will work on FFG. Also, temporal bomb is far from useless. It provides very good buffs and debuffs. 1 What this team needs is more Defenders

This has been requested many times and it wouldn't require any work. They just need to replace the version of Trip Mine in Traps with the version in Devices. Roughly half the cast time and no interrupt. 1 1 Uuniverse
Riverdusk Posted Wednesday at 06:39 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:39 PM Do have to say, my illusion/traps was one of the few times illusion's group invis power felt worthwhile.
Schiz0 Posted Thursday at 09:23 PM Author Posted Thursday at 09:23 PM Yes, I can agree about group invis. I hate having to take it just for that. I have done that in the past though. You should not have to take it just to keep another power that is so vital just to keep it from blowing up constantly. Since group invis was mentioned though it reminded me of dominators and how they get Gleam instead of group invis. I really think that should also be an option for Illusion controllers. They can take out the damage it does too and I would be super happy with just the AoE stun. I also should have been a little bit clearer on Temporal Bomb. It is mostly useless to ME. I have no use for it and it would honestly not help ME. I apologize for generalizing and I am sure on some builds it would be fine. Anyway, I suppose I could just take out caltrops and put Ginvis back in.

Like how I dismiss my MM pets when I want to get through a map stealthily. (Edit: You said you have the recharge down to 6 seconds. If you are avoiding combat for any reason, using any form of stealth, 6 seconds of recharge is nothing. And you won't have to worry about the FFG getting aggro'ed while doing so.) The main issue with dismissing/resummoning the FFG is the mez protection that it provides, and the fact you can't resummon it when you are mez'ed. Granted, if you're being stealthy you shouldn't be getting mez'ed, but the issue is still a thing.

The OP specifically said: On 11/18/2025 at 2:46 PM, Schiz0 said: I am in Superior Invisibility and if I have FFG out then everyone can see it and attack it. If the player is using stealth, especially Superior Invisibility with its 200 feet stealth radius, then the character isn't going to get mezzed unless the character does something to get the mezzer's attention. The only things that should see any character using Superior Invisibility are Watchers, Observers, and Overseers from the Soldiers of Rularuu and Rikti Drones. The player can absolutely dismiss the FFG and sneak around anywhere the player wants, and then re-summon the FFG just before attacking the target enemies. If the player is in a position where (s)he/they has to worry about their character getting mezzed? Then by all means, don't dismiss the FFG. Odds are though, that character isn't using any stealth powers either.
biostem Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago FFG grants more defense than dispersion bubble precisely because it is vulnerable. You also don't have a constant end drain while it is deployed. I could see, perhaps, giving it a bit more HP or resistances, but the entire point of the power is that it is external to you... 1 1
kelika2 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago /macro FFG powexeclocation me "force field generator" id love for the ability to walk through it like with mastermind pets tho

It also doesn't detoggle if you run out of endurance or suppress if you do get mezzed. 2 What this team needs is more Defenders
