Ice/Temporal Blaster

On live I my main was an Ice/Ice Blaster. I tried to roll him again but I really wasn't feeling the /Ice secondary and recalled not really using it. /Time seems to have a similar but more interesting theme. Here's the build I'm heading towards. It's close to the softcap and the resists are a bit lacking (this is all without Incarnates, I have a feeling that Incarnate content will do a lot for this build). I just have the feeling that I'm on to something but am missing a key piece of information. Anyone have any tweaks or ideas for this build?

I just hit 50 with my Ice/Temp so I can't really say something about Incarnate stuff. But so far this build is a lot of fun for me.

 

In difference to your build I put ranged Damage sets into the Ice-Hold-Powers. Mainly because I'm a blaster und those powers do a lot of damage.

 

The build below is what I have right now. Maybe with more time and influence I will slot some more epic sets, but so far I don't see the need for that. And I'm missing the required Inf to do that anyway 😉

 

I had Timestop most of the time, but since I used it very rarely, I respecced it out.

I know that a 3rd hold seems redundant, however Time Stop has 50% -regen, making it valuable against AVs. Also, if you use Time Wall first, Time Stop increases to mag 4.

You got to the S/L softcap which is good but what's the game plan with this build? Stay at range and blast or punch face when the situation presents itself. I ask because I noticed you skipped all the melee attacks except for the PBAoE and that' a sign that you aren't really interested in melee blasting.

Here is my "ranged Blaster" Ice/Temp.  Although I have switched over to Ice/Ice/Cold finding that for all intents and purposes Ice Secondary is as "ranged" as Temp, addresses enough of my issues and adds more ice secondary effects.  

 

Leaving off Frost Breath was a mistake I have addressed.  52% Ranged Defense.  You seriously do not need resists....

Nah im not too interested in melee blasting. i have a EM brute that fulfills all my melee needs. I just want to stay at range and blast and have the chance of survival if i somehow get into trouble while soloing or in a team.

Are you asking about SuperSpeed/SuperJump Or like fighting and leadership? Or just an all around example? Like ice/time superspeed w Combat Jump and SJ + tough/weave + leadership? Or would you prefer a softcap 45% def build (more endGame)? Let me know and i'll work it out

Here is what I went to after my "ranged Ice/Temp" a "blapper ice/ice"  turns out it is bettter for range.  Damned short range 40-60, but ranged indeed.  Just easy to run as you can get.

Just as another example of builds. My blasters/rupptors Ranged softcap and -to hit buff to lower the %.  I have a lot of spare IOs and boosters if needed. 👊🏽

I tend to start with Recharge, then Dmg, then building my def up for whatever it may be.. Broots and Scrapper types, I focus on Melee softcap, as most of the attacks have that element attached so fire/cold/energy melee just 'miss' 'miss' It's pretty epic, especially with perma hasten and the buffs.. My Fire/Time rupptor, he's a BEAST, all buffs overlap it's insane, same with my fire/dark troller.. Get crafty and experiment, and then possibly learn to profiteer with your extras on the markets lol

If you’re going to use LRM Rocket, you should proc bomb it. It’s record setting activation time can’t really be justified unless you get its damage up to nuke levels, and it will have maxed out proc rates. I typically do 1-2 IO’s for enhancement, Overwhelming Force Dam/Proc, and the rest damage procs.
