  1. Just reviewed the downdetector again and century link still seems to have some spotty issues like yesterday.
  2. Bit of a stretch, but generally traffic will get routed around trouble spots.
  3. That node appears to be somewhere east of France if I'm reading the map right. :p
  4. Without stretching my Actual knowledge on the topic, they all share the various backbone sections of the internet, lease lines to eachother, etc, so seeing overlap is likely.
  5. If you guys weren't aware, you can actually report your issues on the downdetector site to make it more accurate.
  6. Yeah, 100% packet loss on any of the nodes would do it.
  7. Either that or try hopping on your neighbor's cable/wifi. (no, don't do that >.<) It's just one of those things, but it's better than when I lived up north and the squirrels would dig into the roadside cable box (knocking us out for the whole weekend until they sent somebody).
  8. Wow, mine launches faster than I even expected when clicking (mind you, I'm not having issues), so yeah, it really sounds like it's just good ole internet routing issues. The internet is literally like a highway/web in that if the path you take has an issue Somewhere, then it'll act like a roadblock unless the connection gets rerouted elsewhere, but that's up to the hardware between you and the servers.
  9. It's all in the routing to the servers. :/
  10. Manga also provided a place to check your general connection: https://proof.ovh.net If the Ping is in the triple digits or the other numbers are super low, then it could be more local of an issue.
  11. While not widespread (IE: Not 'major') Century link appears to be having issues right now. https://downdetector.com/status/centurylink/map/ I've looked at the other major ISPs and they all appear to be having low, but correlating issues over the last 24 hours based on the above, so you guys are likely in those affected areas (if this is the only issue).
  12. Looks like @GM Manga is troubleshooting in Discord... Looks like the IP for the login server is 51.161.76.201, so if you type the following into the Windows Run command, then you should get some output, but at this point (unless you don't use it), I'd suggest going to the HC Discord and interacting with them. Windows Command: pathping 51.161.76.201 If this fails somewhere, then it'll suggest that there is an outside network issue. Important: For your privacy, Please remove any personal information from the output of that command if you post it here or otherwise.
  13. Something that came to mind just now. Normally happens only on the first launch (fresh install) of either launcher, but most AV software (even defender) will send a popup asking if you want the game to access the internet. This popup often is BEHIND the active window, so unless you know to toggle to that window, then you'd never know it exists to give it approval. This occurs even when whitelisting the whole game folder.
  14. What happens when you tell norton to pause for like an hour and try to launch the game?
  15. Something is filtering your internet traffic from the looks of it.
  16. *pokes @GM Impervium* Because I can see you :p
  17. The following would help if everyone puts it here for when a GM (or someone more used to the issue) chimes in Platform OS Launcher type Device security in use General location For me that would be: Macbook Pro Catalina HC Launcher OS security / no 3rd party apps Eastern USA and PC / Desktop Windows 7 HC Launcher Windows Defender & Webroot AV Eastern USA Again, this is for reference as I 'can' log into the game just fine and am not having any general internet issues otherwise on any device right now.
  18. This could easily be a combination of what you've mentioned as well as "stale cookies" as I put it, but more than likely network based in your case.
  19. Just tested with clean install on MacOS Catalina with no secondary AV installed. This is normally an AV app or security app blocking the connection. There's an IP you can try pinging, but IDK which thread that's in offhand.
  20. I've heard before that we could use water as a solar radiation barrier, but IDK how practical that'd be.
  21. I mean, compatibility wise, so long as you've got Rosetta activated and you're on the same platform, then I don't see issues. Even then, with the way this is built (the little I know of it), I don't think the platform matters Too much, but since all it wanted was Rosetta active for the first test, I don't see anything short of a MacOS update snafu causing you issues. Certainly nothing about CoX is gonna stress that machine out much at all. Well, I wouldn't try running 8 instances, but heh.
  22. I heard that rumor, but after seeing the trailer, I don't think that's who that really was, character wise.
  23. IIRC, virtualization is baked into the OS so that you can do things like boot a VM even, but it's been ages since I've read on it.
  24. Aside from people having issues with the APUs and what I hear about the scheduler (see above), I'm not sure specifically as my build was partially designed For CoX.
  25. Based on the above images, rename the file so that the .DDS instead reads .TEXTURE as it appears this is the file extension that it's looking for. Also, the game loads stuff from the /data folder only at startup, so you need to always make sure the game is fully quit before expecting to see changes. Side question, what format is DDS?
