Or an idea, instead of bonuses for low population servers, a bonus that kicks in if there are less than X players at a time? Of course, none of this really helps my chars much that are running around on Indom, Torch, and Reunion, since they're either at 50 or doing slow leveling thru various arcs.- 56 replies

True, but that would have just been a trickle compared to the current methods. I think we'd need to turn on the fire hose to make a 1500 cost seem OK for me. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Cobalt is pretty set on the current valuation and while I'll gripe when it's brought up, it's not a priority concern of mine. -

Yea, I'd rather too many than too little (up to a point), but right now I can say it's too little. On goal, it's probably done all it's going to do in getting people to other shards for regular play. (And Ukase's snippet says so!)- 56 replies

I'm sorry you feel attacked. I was having an info fatigue issue outside of CoX, and let that color my responses. I'm good with how HC announced it. Info over the last year or so. Discord & Forum announcements for a month (and in launcher) And a game popup this week. I just happen to know that there will be many people who will still not see it.

Back when we played Champions, we did a few villain campaigns just as a change of pace. On CoX, I know people that won't do anything but pure Hero. I tend to play my characters as a collection of "What If?" and other dimensional/timeline oddness so that something that would be out of character can be hand waved away as a "Simulation/Bad Dream/Danger Room/Parallel World/etc" thing. "Oh, the Terminator badge? I got that while training Longbow on how to respond to Bank Robberies and other crimes. I think the longbow playing civilians are a little over dramatic though. It wasn't even a sharpened caltrop"

Though a quick scan of this thread doesn't really show a problem with acquiring Aether, but how overpriced they feel the higher tiers of costumes are. A single Aether per character per day isn't that much in light of that. At least that's my view on it. I'm not spending ~1.5 Billion on something for one character that I might not play that much. -
iirc, they were going to add something for bases that was earned, but people pointed out that some of the base builders don't necessarily have the ability to unlock, etc... so I'm pretty sure that was just made available to everyone. Being able to make plaques and the like would be a nice feature, but not sure how easy that would be to implement. Right now I suppose you could use the tiny letters as much of a pain that would be.

It was under the Oct 1 patch. I run into this all the time with one of my responsibilities. "I can't find <insert info>" "It was written on slack in the relevant channels, and there's a board in the kitchen with that information" "Can we get the info on <some other location>" Adds info to more locations. People still don't see it. One location doesn't get updated or it's old data by this point, and then someone complains that the other locations must be wrong. You see where this is going? It's in Announcements which gets linked in the launcher and discord. If people want to be informed, then all they have to do is click on link. It doesn't take much effort.

Name Generator: In the main character screen, you want it to just spit out a random combo of words? Or for naming AE mobs? Or what? There are some online resources for that, I think someone here made one. That won't happen, I don't think having a threesome set on a meteor map on Indom just sitting there generating stuff for a week is something anyone really wants. Isn't that like at 200 or so? There's a technical reason behind that not wanting to be grown more. Sometimes I think the DB interactions are more convoluted than the usual complaint about spaghetti code. The only thing is if someone isn't in AE/TF/Mission/base; If they're logging out from timing out, it only takes a sec to log back in once they're done with their interruption N/A Never liked the full mask anyway, so no comment They have been bringing in some. Full incarnate tree, no idea if that's even being looked at, but there are some topics about them Leveling pacts didn't work quite right and were disabled. I don't know what is needed to get that functional again. It was disabled before sunset and briefly up on HC I think, but caused issues, hence shutdown again. There's a ton of solo content, and some of the new arcs are very solo friendly. Rewards seem to match fine.

I think concerns were brought up during one of the beta passes that it would lead to some gatekeeping and the devs decided then to make it a badge for Diversity and Mirror instead of an extra reward. Not that big of a deal either way imo. -
It's probably a little more complex, but when the apocalypse is going on, it spawns in Zombies based on how many people are there. When you knock on a door and get a trick, it spawns ToT based on how many people are there. And they seem to compete.

They do spawn there. Just not in the numbers that they do if people aren't spawning ToT door spawns. If you had a league not knock on doors at the motel, I think we'd wind up with more zombies.

Pretty much a basic transport hub with the Ouro Crystal, Mission Comp, Empowerment stations, and NPCs for training and vending. Either that or add a portal section to Fort Trident & The Crucible. (Though it's another step to get there) Heck, one could make this base be an automatic add when the server is wiped and is Supergroup #1. Passcode Homecoming-1 (Heck, do this on all shards)

So, not based off story, but off powers. And note that Foreshadow's power, is just a slightly different Energy Blast. You'd have to come up with a compelling story to even get any sort of traction and right now, you have nothing but a desire to get some powers (a couple that don't exist) as a reward. Manticore is everywhere. Frankly a little overused IMO. And the power, it's just a different style Fold Space.

Unrelated heroes for the most part. The only two that share a SG are from Wisdom, Mirror Spirit & Foreshadow; Manticore from Freedom Phalanx, Incan from Vanguard Herald, and Infernal from Vindicators. Why Manticore? He's got his own TF to run. He's also in the SSAs and quite a few other arcs. Didn't know he had that annoying TP arrow like Chimera. Sorta Fold Space like. I'd say Mirror Spirit & Foreshadow would be better off in some faultline related TF or to explain why a Korean SG is here. And for defense, you'd probably want Mirror Shield, not Trap. (Trap is a hold) War Witch is originally Legacy Chain, so maybe something on red side, but for vigilantes, sorta a flip of the John Houston arc. Looks like she only has access to Harvest Blades, Serene is her full form has Autumnal Blades. Does that mean WW will still use them? unclear. Infernal; an arc to find out what happened to the Praetorian one maybe. We find his axe, but I don't recall anything else about his disappearance. He doesn't have Burn. He has aura? A single TF/Arc/whatever doesn't make much sense for this grouping. You could do something like a SSA where you have disparate threads at each step and tie it all together in the last arc.

Just to double check, you're buying the Enhancement and not the recipe?
