Honestly, I'm not OK with this. I'd prefer that owning Evasive Maneuver (despite the name) raised the cap on flight to Afterburner levels. Afterburner would still be fine with non-EM characters, but those with EM could just fly that fast. On the why of speed caps at the level they are, there is some upper limit that the engine can deal with. (something rendering I think?) Will have to get someone with more knowledge to weigh in.

That's because @Snarky is much more responsive with service, ensuring that your donations go to the correct fund.

It also grabs any hostages, etc... that you're leading, so technically it does affect others.

If FrostFire can become a hero, Keystone should become a cop

Got behind some geometry on The Underground Server: Everlasting Zone/Mission: P_Underground Position: [429.9 -64.0 4472.5] And apparently it was close to where a mob had gotten stuck

I suppose with an instanced version, you could be mostly (if not all) level 1s?

Those normally start appearing after the patch releases, though I anticipate the less puzzling ones will appear soon on the wiki pages. Actually, looking at the listing, the only one that takes any sort of trial and error is Lucid Dreamer, and in my opinion, may as well say the how since it still takes some effort. The special fight in the ZTF and the Labyrinth special will probably get the treatment of hints. I know @Glacier Peakspent a month of figuring out the Labyrinth one and I feel we should delay releasing full knowledge a bit. Once found, it's not difficult. The ZTF fight, I don't have details on, but it sounds like a similar challenge as the Kong fight, so knowing is only 1/2 the battle.

Every Single Character of Mine has This Same Problem.
lemming replied to dtjunkie's topic in General Discussion
Yep. Two Redside ones are easier than their Blueside ones. Invader & ???. (I always have to check) Invader lets you avoid Synapse which is my main reason. -
Especially considering that XP & Inf rewards don't seem to be higher for level 55 vs 54 mobs. (It's known and will be addressed)

Just started checking out the Outer Darkness, but apparently I'm too sane. Might poke at it more over the weekend -
Based on that HC has been making other powersets spread to other ATs (Energy Aura & Regen for instance), we'll probably see Nin Tanks at some point.

For me, I tend to get chars up to at least to their 30s before thinking about retiring them. Most of mine get to 50 and if I can figure out a fun viable build for them, they get to stay. DFB has very little to do with it.

Yea, on the whole "This isn't how I would develop stuff" The HC team does stuff differently that what I took part of in SW, including when I was part of a team of a multiplayer web game. (very small team there, and we talked with the players a lot directly) It's not wrong, it's just different. Some of it is to deal with multi-branched git handling from what I can discern. It can be a pain with an excellent organization, and CoH was built by people that seemed to be learning how to do organization. And some parts were done by people outside of CoH (AE for one) And it's hard to do that after the fact. (I still have ptsd about some 90s era code) -
Yea, I think incoming damage won't be as much of an issue as clear speeds (if you're into that) That said, I haven't checked any of my farm stuff at +5. I need to go thru and tweak things anyway on my farms.

Posting feedback about the set good. Not liking the response is fine. Repeating that you don't like the response over and over and over, not fine. -
I think the various anniversary badges should be purchasable year round. But just the anniversary ones. (winters and the cov one) But that's it. It's still an investment, just not with timing.

Recommendations for Reworking Badges
lemming replied to CoeruleumBlue's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
This is the reason I trimmed my alts down to less than 100. I saw myself being way CDO on stuff like this. -
FYI: while it looks like chronological order, it's the order by which the character was added to the server. So, server transfers will mess with that.

I get the annoyance of menus. I have all my popmenu stuff on a tray in the top middle because of stuff like that. I think the difficulty button is in a better spot than the chat bubble location, but yea, training the muscle memory out of it takes work. For dropdowns that do that, having your mouse go up and around tends to work, but yea, more training. For window placements, I did make some menus for redoing the default placements depending on what screen I am playing on. Needs work still, but does make it do my default is easy to setup now.

Maybe HC isn't trying to satisfy the min-maxer and trying to go for something the average player can attain? </fftmbs> -
Recommendations for Reworking Badges
lemming replied to CoeruleumBlue's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I could see anniversary badges account wide, but it's not a huge deal. Exploration and most accolades, no. What I wouldn't mind seeing is a way to transfer a badge from one character to another on the same account. Drawback: For certain content, have a character that is tweaked for that to produce it for other characters on your account. Advantage: Say you have a char that you no longer play, but has the badges you consider tedious to get. (mayhem pedestrians for example) Hmm, I suppose you could make it an inheritance thing. If you delete a character, badges can be inherited by a different character. (Would have to make certain badges ineligible such as the level # badges that are only for Praetorian, etc... Sure there are a few others) That could open up some RP opportunities: My grandfather was responsible for the PI massacre of '08 and I am trying to reclaim the family honor, etc... -

Just from personal experience, I've seen them use a player suggested tweak and also said hell no. (And quite a few in between) With Sonic Melee, yea, short dev cycle, I don't think it's ready, but as long as the server crashing bug isn't in, it's not going to be a big deal if it's released "early". If they had tweaked an existing set and had it in half baked state released, that would be a different matter. -
What is the significance of the "Slap" action?
lemming replied to Palehood's topic in General Discussion
I respond with /e smack -
Yes, short version: People were farming their 50s for the vet emp merits and converting to reward merits at a pretty high rate via farms. long version: search the old threads when it happened.
