FYI: while it looks like chronological order, it's the order by which the character was added to the server. So, server transfers will mess with that.

I get the annoyance of menus. I have all my popmenu stuff on a tray in the top middle because of stuff like that. I think the difficulty button is in a better spot than the chat bubble location, but yea, training the muscle memory out of it takes work. For dropdowns that do that, having your mouse go up and around tends to work, but yea, more training. For window placements, I did make some menus for redoing the default placements depending on what screen I am playing on. Needs work still, but does make it do my default is easy to setup now.

Maybe HC isn't trying to satisfy the min-maxer and trying to go for something the average player can attain? </fftmbs> -
Recommendations for Reworking Badges
lemming replied to CoeruleumBlue's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I could see anniversary badges account wide, but it's not a huge deal. Exploration and most accolades, no. What I wouldn't mind seeing is a way to transfer a badge from one character to another on the same account. Drawback: For certain content, have a character that is tweaked for that to produce it for other characters on your account. Advantage: Say you have a char that you no longer play, but has the badges you consider tedious to get. (mayhem pedestrians for example) Hmm, I suppose you could make it an inheritance thing. If you delete a character, badges can be inherited by a different character. (Would have to make certain badges ineligible such as the level # badges that are only for Praetorian, etc... Sure there are a few others) That could open up some RP opportunities: My grandfather was responsible for the PI massacre of '08 and I am trying to reclaim the family honor, etc... -
Listen to Feedback: Sonic Melee Not Ready
lemming replied to Wravis's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Just from personal experience, I've seen them use a player suggested tweak and also said hell no. (And quite a few in between) With Sonic Melee, yea, short dev cycle, I don't think it's ready, but as long as the server crashing bug isn't in, it's not going to be a big deal if it's released "early". If they had tweaked an existing set and had it in half baked state released, that would be a different matter. -
What is the significance of the "Slap" action?
lemming replied to Palehood's topic in General Discussion
I respond with /e smack -
Yes, short version: People were farming their 50s for the vet emp merits and converting to reward merits at a pretty high rate via farms. long version: search the old threads when it happened.

Every Single Character of Mine has This Same Problem.

Not sure of the issue: Once you complete Synapse, you'll get your II Sister Psyche & Penelope are III. (Yin replaced Sister Psyche, but the TF is still available via flashback) -
How many Characters does it take to use all the Powersets?
lemming replied to legendaryjman's topic in General Discussion
Worse, it was programming. -
Spreadsheet of current chars. What I don't have is all the characters I've retired over the years which would be ~300 at this point. I did try all primary & secondary powersets on most ATs (definitely Sentinels) and ones I just didn't enjoy, got retired. Most once they hit 50.

Recommendations for Reworking Badges
lemming replied to CoeruleumBlue's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
iirc, a dev stated they dislike account wide badges. And I think Rudra pointed out the same reasons I would give for not wanting this. -
Annoyed by KB, play the new +5=7 content. Much harder to kb stuff above your level. I'm less annoyed by KB now compared to earlier days, though I've always been of the thought that if you Knock something out of range of the rest of the team, that's your responsibility to clean up. Most people follow that.

Conversion of salvage to Empyrian merits
lemming replied to MsSmart's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Oh Cmon, arguing about how you misunderstood the OP? Ask for clarity if you can't infer the specifics instead of going right to the worst case. We're not writing technical specs here. -
Quick look at power selection and you do not remember correctly. (Just a quick check of Lightning Blast comparison in creation, but a dive into city of data would be a better source of info probably)

How many Characters does it take to use all the Powersets?
lemming replied to legendaryjman's topic in General Discussion
Well, by my calculations, you've got 2648 different combinations of primary and secondary powers and 201 different choices. That's with using exclusions such as Stone & Claws (only Tankers and Brutes have that excluded, Scrappers & Stalkers can Stone Claw) Shield locks out Claws, Dual Blades, Katana, Spines, Staff Fighting, and Titan Weapons Blaster -> 225 - 15 Brute -> 315 - 23 Controller -> 204 - 17 Corruptor -> 255 - 17 Defender -> 255 - 17 Dominator -> 156 - 13 Mastermind -> 119 - 17 Scrapper -> 324 - 22 Sentinal -> 210 - 15 Stalker -> 280 - 19 Tanker -> 301 - 22 HEAT & VEAT -> 4 - 4 Combo: 2648 - 201 addendum: This is with Sonic Melee -
I've noticed differences needed just in +2 to +4 depending on team makeup. One group I roll with, +4 content gets smashed into bits because the players are all highly competent and have good builds. Then in PUGs, same tactics just don't work at +4. For the average and casual players, it will definitely be shown.

Get rid of minimum level on most (non 50) IO requirements
lemming replied to Starhammer's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I am another that hates inventory management. I tend to put basic IOs while I level, then swap to sets at 50 usually after a respec. There are some sets I'll do as I level, but ugh. -
page 3 [FOCUSED FEEDBACK] Supergroup Base Adjustments
lemming replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
On Teleport beacons, an easier way to attach would be nice, but with an item that has X beacons already attached, a lot of people have different ideas on what category. Though I doubt they'd remove the current way even if they did add them. Beacon organization seems to be: Alphabetical Destination categories: Red, Blue, Hazard, Co-op, Gold, Shadow Shard Popularity And with categories, places like Striga that went from Blue side (or hazard) to Co-Op messes up some schemes. I still have Striga under hazard, but added it to co-op. Though adding a super beacon that just opened a Long Range TP like list would solve a lot of issues there. And as long as the old version still was available, could solve issues. I would love "invisible" interactive items that can just be placed into whatever decorative items we prefer. Having to spin stuff inside walls or floors to make an item is my least favorite activity. -
Conversion of salvage to Empyrian merits
lemming replied to MsSmart's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Well, since it's about incarnate items and MsSmart showed the conversion stats of incarnate salvage, thinking it would mean regular invention salvage seems a stretch. -
Conversion of salvage to Empyrian merits
lemming replied to MsSmart's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Good news! They're dropping buying incarnate salvage with influence since it's a horrendous expense. (plus I need to not leave a thread and come back after someone edited their mistakes away... I see you realized that it's incarnate salvage) -
Yea, I looked at my list and realized, I have more controllers at 50 than Sentinels, but I play a couple of my sentinels much more than any of my controllers. And I only have one of each Kheld or Veat, but I do play my Widow. Hmm, a better chart would show playhours on each character, but that may be beyond my data entry needs. 😉

New error just showed up in the launcher
lemming replied to FinalCyclopedia's topic in Homecoming Launcher
The order is controlled by your playerslot.txt file which is local to the client machine, not server. So if you copy that over to another machine, it will have the same order. Otherwise, it populates that file when you bring up each server and page of characters. default order is by DB ID which happens when that character gets to that server.
