  1. My own personal vote is AR/Invuln Sentinel. AR on a sentinel is just straight hot garbage. With its the lower target cap, the narrower cones and lower damage it took what was already a suffering primary on Blasters and just made it straight up god damn awful. Combined with Invuln offering very little to help buff its primary or add any secondary damage out put (at least SR gets the recharge boost...). That combo was the one that single handedly killed my interest in sentinels stone cold dead and since that point I've refused to make one.
  2. I agreed with the idea of doing away with TOs and DOs as vendor items and instead selling SOs purely through them. However judging by the costs it's still going to be MUCH cheaper to do the standard drop of IOs at level 32. That's the major draw of generic IOs once you hit that level, they're an initial big expenditure but a much less 'upkeep' costs.
  3. Dr. Graves and Twinshot, despite being some of the newest introduced story arcs...are probably the two I'd vote as most crap especially because their level ranges and what they set out to do (especially the first 5-10 arc) means that unless you PL'd yourself to level 5, never leveled up at Ms Liberty, never did any of the tutorials, THEN they'd be useful...
  4. Yeah lets be honest, the Twinshot arc REALLY needed to be a level 1-5 intro, in fact the entire set of arcs should be bumped down a level bracket. 1-5, 5-10 and 10-15. The writing may be kinda crap but atleast then they'd function as their intended 'extended tutorial'. Otherwise we get into the problems of them making no freaking sense for their level range, especially the intro arc being 5-10...because you've probably already learned like 90% of the stuff in the arc before even starting it.
  5. I think the other problem is that it's actually causing frame rate issues for a decent amount of people as well as all these BNYs are causing the servers to chug kinda hard.
  6. Taking it purely for theme since my character is based on Crash from Quake 3 Arena and thus a certain other particular character Thus having LRM plays into the 'classic FPS' style even if it doesn't make sense. However yes Munitions Mastery is one of the weakest APPs/PPPs on blaster and could do with a rather large upgrade if I'm honest.
  7. Oof yeah gotta say the 'bring your child to work day' thing doesn't seem to be too popular ingame either...people are loving the nerf bat and the brawl changes but this...wasn't exactly well received as it is causing the server and framerates to kinda chug for some people.
  8. This was done using an attuned IO so it should have covered the entire level range Air burst is available, however it seems that, from my guess, the attuned one is looking at it as its lowest level and not its max level.
  9. Wait people didn't do that already? I mean that's exactly what I did because apart from the rare chance when you got none, you'd likely get 1 or 2 winter IOs per pack and farming you'd get the catalysts flowing so I just used to send them to my alts. Especially when you get a twofer it saves you like 20-30 million inf and all the rest of the stuff went into the farmer (merits etc.)
  10. Air burst cannot be converted within type (targeted AoE) but only as an 'uncommon'.
  11. I think they're misunderstanding that you're pointing out that in order to make it so an 'average' player can get things like purple IOs without having to play the market that they'll also have to go after marketeers. However they seem reluctant to hurt their profit margins by bringing down the prices of all IOs so that a single purple IO is easily affordable by the 'average joe'.
  12. Sure they doesn't work for salvage but it does work for recipes and enhancements, it is quite easy for 1 marketeer to 'corner the market' on selected items. How do I know this? I did it. due to me buying one specific set of uncommon recipes drove up the price from 500 inf to over 20k inf because I was buying them in huge bulk, creating and then converting them and nobody else was buying them (surprisingly). Because I was willing to spend 20k at that time it caused people to take notice and more people to flood to said recipe because it was selling over the odds which meant the prices went up even higher when people were curious as to how far they could push my price. I think it hit like 25k before I bounced on it and found something else. This wasn't me flipping and reselling them either, this was just me buying them to see how much money I could make on a fresh level 1 and he ended up with over 100 million inf in the space of 24 hours, which is small fry compared to proper marketeers who can make 10 times that in the same timeframe.
  13. Wouldn't introducing the new IO sets have been enough of a Macro shock?
  14. That's playing convertor roulette which is considered 'babbies first AH' and yes is VERY easy to get in to, I've done it myself on several characters. But the level we're talking about requires actual genuine market knowledge and people keeping an eye on what IOs are worth what, when IOs have just had their prices tank so you can buy them up and then resell them at a later date when the price has recovered because you're now in control of all the supply of said IO, knowing what sells well from week to week and day to day (for example ATOs fluctuate quite widely between weekdays and weekends...admittedly not so much now we're all stuck inside) and THAT requires a lot more work than setting up a farmer who can self level on their own at -1x8 from about level 18 if you stack purple insps and go from there.
  15. General consensus last time I looked was that it was just OK, not really great, not terrible, just a beigey sort of 'ok'. It had the problem of that being -end being kinda pointless in PvE without lots of -recovery to go with it, which the set doesn't apparently have enough of.
  16. So because people were farming which was, by your words here, obviously more ineffective than just playing the market when it comes to inf gathering sources, isn't ok...but doing so via the market IS OK despite the fact that the people on the market are making vastly more inf (which usually came supplied to them VIA farmers who are the ones which tend to sell low and buy high because they're just wanting to ship things out until they need something specific for a non-farming character) and yet Jimmy is saying they want a market that an 'average player' can interact with despite said market being, mostly, in the hands of people who are making craploads of inf who, if they suddenly decided, could jack up prices massively because they hold a controlling stake in that market more so than the average player. Pardon me if I'm kinda skeptical.
  17. There are a few, for example @Solarverse literally does just want an Issue 5-7 server which would be a no IOs, no Incarnates type deal (though I would personally add in the STF as it was back then just to balance out the LRSF even if IOs were introduced in the same Issue as it was, so both sides can get Synthetic Hami-Os). However by and large, you are right, a lot of these people who keep demanding tougher content ALSO want shiny stuff attached to it that isn't just badges because getting a badge reward isn't 'good enough reason for them to do it' (this was said to me by someone who posted for higher difficulty options). No they want special exclusive IO recipes or Special unique costume unlocks or tons of other things so they can be an e-peen waving person saying "I'm better than the casual player because I managed to do this content" and as mentioned once they've done that...well then..where's the next challenge? And the next? And the next? It's a reason why WoW is widely known as having people say 'the real game starts at level cap' because WoW is built around the endgame gear treadmill because that's all they can do to keep the 'I think I'm Hardcore' players attached and with it comes the problems of massive power creep WITHIN an expansion (where faully kitted out, even in normal mode level, raider who has done the last raid tier of an expansion can go back and nearly solo the first raid of an expansion or at least do it in a very small group). Also @Galactiman since when did Invuln rely on defenses alone, it's got good across the board resist as well to all but Psi and Toxic. It normally soft caps S/L resist and on a tanker has around the 40-50% resist to everything else.
  18. Was on me phone since I was out and aboot but I'm home in 5 minutes so I'll log on to my farmer then and see how much it takes in. Pre-nerf I was breaking in about 10 million inf per comic-con BUT I can't speak to whether I was unintentionally using the 'patrol XP = massive inf gain' thing (which I honestly didn't know it did) since most of the time my farmer was sitting there with patrol XP unless I'd recently done a PLing session (since you want to be 50 for PL purposes). Edit: Well I WOULD test it but, lo and behold all the farm maps (namely the standard Comic Con ones, non-level 49) are coming up as MA invalid....
  19. Trouble is we are seeing kind of a large pushback against the choice by farmers and...well...people will ragequit if they don't like it. I mean I freaking HATE the change since I was a farmer mostly and a marketeer second now it looks like I'm doing the more 'boring' work of playing the market instead of farming but that's just me.
  20. And you're telling me disabling the double inf when exemped option at that time was somehow a truly difficult task requiring hours upon hours of work. I'm sorry if I don't believe that.
  21. Yes this was also the time when they seeded the market with salvage, so yes they obviously had ideas to fix the problems of the past, so don't give me the whole 'making the game work' malarky, if they wanted to they could have fixed this the moment they seeded the market but chose not to an instead nerf it now...as I said...after the horse has bolted.
  22. Honestly though, the games population is such that if some farmers DO decided to rage quit, like a decent chunk of them, we're up shit creek without a paddle. I know I'm personally not going to just slap stuff on the market for 1 inf anymore like I did with all my salvage or level 50 recipes from farming, instead I'm going to raise the prices since I'm going to need to cover more costs in the long run.
  23. No the exploit was earning more than double inf WHILST HAVING PATROL XP, the exploit was not the, working as intended, double XP when exemping option. They fixed the exploit and then REMOVED that option...so yes, it is a nerf, reading comprehension much?
  24. If ever there was a case of 'closing the door AFTER the horse has bolted' this 'fix' was it. Fixing the exploit I understand but then nerfing the inf gain...*eyeroll*, this needed to be done ON LAUNCH of HC not now, over a year later, all it's doing now is pissing people off and making it so the haves (the people with 2 billion inf on multiple characters) are in a MUCH better position than the have-nots and that is, if you pardon my language, frankly fucking stupid. Even IF these fix does actually do something, it's going to take probably like MONTHS to actually take effect, like well over 6 months as people burn off any major excess inf they have and, as mentioned, it doesn't hit the people who actually roll around in inf, those that use the market via the convert flipping trick, all you've done is just smash the supply chain for regular players.
  25. Yup still no word from the devs on why they honestly thought adding a taunt to Gun Drone was a good idea and that, in the long run, it turned out to be a genuinely silly choice made under the guise of something that didn't really matter, instead making /dev have two completely pointless powers at tier 8 and tier 9.
