Focused Feedback: Energy Melee Revamp
skoryy replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
I'll have to test tomorrow, but I'm fairly certain that scrapper ET still does crit damage. -

The scrapper / stalker crit's not negated on ET. You get crit damage and bonus healing. -

That was me when I two-shot a +3 Fake Nemmie with TF -> ET yesterday. -
Focused Feedback: Titan Weapons Revamp

I put together my old elec/TW build from live, loaded him up with incarnates, and gave him a test run in PI. I wasn't interested in numbers or times, I just wanted to get a good feel on the set. And, yeah, it runs a lot smoother now. Being able to hold up a steady attack chain is a huge improvement over janky missed momentum moments, even more so on a tank where more attacks means more aggro. I may have to bring this guy back on Everlasting now. -

I get the notion that this makes the set more gimmicky, but press button -> receive bonus is about as minimally gimmicky as you can get. Signed, an occasional FFXIV DNC 😵 -
Five minutes to pick up the Atlas Park exploration medallion. LRT takes me to the transit station, which is just a short jump from the base portal. Okay, this is reasonable. LRT, however, has a ten minute cooldown. 😐 I think @Xanatos got it right with the recharge adjustments on the first page. Not sure why any of these should go beyond 30/90 seconds.

One thought: Move the portal for Atlas Park closer to City Hall, like at the SE corner of the plaza where you start the Posi 1 mission. That way the base portal is right there. Might be a good idea to go through all the portals and revise where they're located too, a lot of them don't make sense. Steel Canyon putting you on the north edge of the map? EDIT: Also Ouro -> Atlas -> Base Portal seems like it'd be quicker and wouldn't require the accolade. EDIT2: D'oh, I forgot that part of the patch notes where they moved the beacons! 🤪 Teach me to go posting ideas when I'm half-awake.

Focused Feedback: Energy Melee Revamp

One of my main tanks is Rad/StJ, and I've never had this problem even with all her combos and clickies. Between gauntlet and aggro auras and general mission design, tanking in this game isn't that hard. -

Admittedly this was on an all the IOs and incarnate scrapper build, but, man, three or even two(!) shotting +3 fake nemmies? Boy howdy, I think I'm in love. -

I should've added that this was on a scrapper. Crits on TF get two foci instead of one, if I remember the patch notes right. For a tank / brute, I'm guessing you're looking at TF\ET\BS\EP\Bar. I'd need Mids or the focus to spreadsheet the thing to figure out if that's tighter than what you're running. -

I've been running TF\ET\BS\EP\Bar, I could imagine something like TF\ET\BS\EP\ET if you have a spare focus, Bar if you don't. -

@Galaxy Brain's ratings aren't by pylon speed times, though. They're running actual missions and factoring in clearing time and faceplants. Energy Melee is a 'C' set and that's with the new buffs making it a single target powerhouse, primarily from the ET HP drain and its emphasis on single target over AoE. -
Ooh. Time to go exploring and see if there's more to be found!

Yeah, TF -> PC -> WH makes for a nifty rotation. You're not gonna clear rooms at record time, but at least the AoE is there. I kitted out a lvl 50 scrapper and its incredible how many one shots or near one shots I'm getting with TF and ET. The con to the pro is TF having a long enough recharge time that you're going to need a fair bit of filler in between your heavy hitters. -

Scrapper has the potential to do both! Wonder if it'd be worth finding a way for tanks / brutes to also get a second stored focus. I tested out a kitted out 50 scrapper for a bit, and I'm realizing just why everyone wanted Energy Melee upgraded. The FX are stupid crunchy, and now the damage matches! I'll have to run a few more tries to see if there's anything buggy, hard to tell animation problems when your character turns into a class A star the instant combat starts up. -
Focused Feedback: Other Powers Changes

My counterargument, as someone with an MA tank, is that having a second limited AoE in the set is really nice to have. More hits, more aggro! Maybe split so that only tanks and brutes get the AoE version? -

I figured this was coming, but still - on behalf of all tank and brute lovers everywhere - thank you! -
Off the top of my head: MLTF, ITF, LGTF, Peregrine, RWZ, First Ward, Night Ward.

"Its their own fault" Yeah, I think I'll just leave the discussion again.

Earning your way to a great build and incarnated, sure. Keep in mind, though, that knowing how to build or even wanting to build is not that widespread.
