  1. Dark. Form of the Soul works really nice with the end usage.
  2. Taunt on a brute is still handy for those times you're tanking or want to pull. As for what's skippable, I never took the cone AoE on mine. Between Eye of the Storm and her damage aura, I didn't really need it. YMMV
  3. Was that about my build? I'll explain for those interested: A.) It was between Bullet Rain and Empty Clips and I like the animations and recharge rate more on the latter. Bouncing in and out of the herd with FSC and EC is my go-to when I don't have HoB up. B.) Its actually two-slotted, as well as Cauterizing Aura. At level 50, she should be getting 5.28 end/sec. She's getting 4.8 end/sec right now with the build less than halfway done. C.) Not really? Endurance consumption's at 2.14 end/sec, and see above. I've never had to worry about the blue bar with her. D.) Thanks! The winter IOs are gonna be pricey, but soft-capping S/L/E/F/C should do her wonders. E.) I always aim for perma-hasten along with capping as much defense as possible. With how much more accessible purples and ATOs are here, I always aim high. Sunbow's one of my more favorite alts, I play her constantly so there's no problem with picking up merits and drops. And Assault on a non-support build never sat well with me, that's too much of the power budget for just a 10.5% damage buff. Mids' says she's getting a 48.5% buff with the assault hybrid as it is. F.) Hot Feet and Burn are great for making things in your face go away, or make them hurt a lot if they still want to stick around. I also pretty much exclusively group over solo these days, so being able to spread the damage and ride shotgun with the tankers and brutes is always a plus.
  4. To paraphrase, "this is the sixth time we have leveled a theme park MMO character, and we have become exceedingly efficient at it." Its been sixteen years since 2004, we know all the beats, know all the kill alls and fetch quests, know the metas, and know the feeling of being incredibly underpowered compared to the alts you already have at max level. I've seen differing attempts at re-inventing leveling - I see you TSW and TESO - but in the end its still all about growing a character when you already have characters fully grown. We've been there before, frankly we're kinda bored with it, so we say "Get on with it" and hop on the powerlevel train. It is what it is.
  5. Against the devs and most everyone else's goals. I'll go lobby the devs' to rename all your characters '2 Billion Inf PvP IOs'.
  6. I read "it'll make the early game too easy," I say "players will be running less played early missions more often now that its no longer a slog". I mean, how often are we hearing about the Rogue Isles and Praetoria being empty? I read "nobody will use the stores," I say "four DFBs and a couple TFs, I'm already level 22 without having ever had to step into a store to begin with." Now there's an incentive to visit stores early on to get your slots filled. I read "immersion", I say "unnecessary enforced downtime sucks and this isn't an unpopular opinion."
  7. There is an issue with the loss of control utility when you can herd through taunt and AoE the herd, but that's not just a CoH issue. The bigger problem is that while one tank/brute can hold the AV's aggro, you need multiple holds to keep them in place. This is where break bars can help make control really shine. As far as support, my blaster will appreciate any she gets. And the value of support shines again when you get to incarnate content. If you're nerfing to make them 'relevant', then, yeah, you're making them mandatory. Metas are a thing.
  8. So make support and crowd control mandatory instead? Since when in the history of CoH has that been a thing?
  9. My usual route these days is to DFB three/four times for the bonuses, maybe run a team for Montague's arc, TF the rest of the way to 22, then finally start thinking about enhancements. This will make it less painful to solo or small team story arcs on my way up, which is going to especially helpful red and goldside. I like it!
  10. There's a soft limit, though: ~500k to create a lvl 50 uncommon IO ~90k per converter Most rare IOs sell for roughly 1 mil. Unless you hit the converter lottery and land on a high demand IO, you're taking a loss once you use more than five converters. Up to ten (I think) if you're converting lower level IOs.
  11. Not panic, just spitballing ideas off of something Jimmy mentioned. Maybe if I had titled it 'how to make less played content more rewarding.'
  12. This is new to me. Which badges are these?
  13. Maybe just expand the Vanguard merit to include other mobs, with rates depending on challenge. As far as mayhems and safeguards, it would depend on mission timing. Higher level ones reward more since you need more radio missions. Maybe six for beating the AV plus more if you complete side missions?
  14. Jimmy mentioned this over in General Discussion: I'll start the discussion here: Merits for safeguard and mayhem missions. On that note, perhaps something akin to a Vanguard Merit for taking down Malta, Carnies, Knives, and other less steamrolly mobs. Hazard zone merits for taking down mobs there that don't con grey.
  15. Huh. I never got a notification and it doesn't show up in the Most Recent tab.
  16. Oh! No, that's not a new badge: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/A_Nemesis_Plot_Badge I didn't know they were running Nemmy plots today, I haven't seen any yet. It may be a random thing on the server, like the Rikti invasions?
  17. Um, there are no actual badges, just the little guy following you around for a day, the new and improved brawl, and the bat.
  18. The Nemesis has always been running. It will always be running, until...
