I'm back to maining my controller, and even then she's Ill/Sonic. What defense and heals?
-
I checked Mids Reborn. Five slotting a corruptor's Acid Mortar for proc damage gets me 395 damage every six seconds. (Are we sure its per fire and not just on the summon?) My tank gets 361 per combo 3 Spinning Strike every ~6 seconds. Also the Acid Mortar actually has to hit with a base 75% unenhanced for accuracy, on top of surviving aggro. So, yeah, I don't really see it as exceptionally OP. Its certainly stronger than it was, but you're making some tradeoffs for that.

What problem is this solving?
-
Yeah, this is a fair critique. Most bios I write these days start in Notepad++ before copying to the game, inserting paragraph breaks, and hoping for the best. One improvement I'd like to see is a better text editor that doesn't disappear whole blocks of text and lose track of just how many characters you're actually using.

There's a trick to Energy AoE. The damage is light, yes, but chaining Total Focus -> Power Crash -> Whirling Hands -> Power Crash is doable so you're consistently generating AoE damage. And with Power Crash's 120 degree cone and the Energy Focus bonus, you'll also be consistently hitting a lot of targets. And if you have the crit proc in Total Focus... Well, you're not Titan Weapons, but who is anyways. Here's the build I'm currently aiming for on my Energy/Energy to see if it might help: This Hero build was built using Mids Reborn 3.0.5.6 https://github.com/Reborn-Team/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! Enable prestige but keep base items free
skoryy replied to Dryfter's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
At this point, all prestige would be is an SG high score and I don't believe we need more of that drama. Now, if I were to take a page from the other MMO I play: 1. Make SG prestige private 2. Enable it full time in or out of SG mode 3. Create temp buffs that SGs can spend prestige on -
Where there's action, there's.... ACTIONETTE! EM/EM Scrapper Rad/Atomic blaster, available for crimebusting, rescues, clobberin' times, and bar mitzvahs. Batteries not included, nor needed. (It took me several characters and multiple revisions to get this costume to where I was happy with it. It ain't much, but its the look I've wanted for a while!)

See this guy? He gets it.

Remember that Homecoming is based off of SCORE, which is based off of Paragon code of indeterminate origin. We don't know just where in the development stage Sentinels were or how much work had been done on them by the SCORE team to make them an in-game option.

All I see is flamewars and blatant baiting, I don't see anything beautiful there. But I also think Thanos was a piker, so.

After spending several months playing FFXIV and its lack of class balance sturm und drang, my question is 'why is balance such a huge matter when any combination of classes can clear content?'
-
Combat Readiness -> Ground Zero -> Spinning Strike and Agent Trinity clears half the room in the first three seconds. Extra damage is extra damage. If you're not using your Build Ups, you're not getting the full use out of your attack set.

What is your favorite X/X matched character?

My elec/elec stalker until I can get my EM/EA scrapper up to speed. -
Why not? Let people enjoy things.

Balancing via high scores is great for Donkey Kong, but not exactly for MMOs, yeah.

OP asked for WP, so I'll stick with WP. My main tank is WP/MA. I could go into how with one tap of Storm Kick he's pretty much the immovable object against anything but toxic, but that misses out the fun parts about all the cool animations. The only thing missing with Eagle's Claw is that its not a Liu Kang teleport straight to face.

Is there any way to make teams less boring?
skoryy replied to RogueWolf's topic in General Discussion
I've been playing FFXIV for the past five months now, and I can count on one hand the number of times the roulette runs had more conversation than 'hello' and 'tyfp'. And this is in instanced content with mechanics that require a good deal more thought than most anything in CoH. And once I got the hang of how the various mechanics worked, running dungeons there became as rote as doing TFs here. By the sixth time you've run a TF / dungeon / raid / what have you, you've become exceedingly efficient at it. And given everyone who's run that content before, knows the meta, knows the mechanics, and knows all the tricks, well. What you are asking for are solutions that can't be easily answered because there are no answers here that can easily solve the problem. Not without, say, massively overhauling the game to match how FFXIV made their content replayable. And at that point are you even playing CoH anymore? -
The problem is when one has been on the internet so long is that one has also invariably lost their assumption of good faith long long ago.

Focused Feedback: Other Powers Changes
skoryy replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Which actually reminds me of something I was thinking over last night. Since Titan Weapons and Energy Melee now get their combos without requiring a hit check, is it in the works for the same to be applied to all the other sets that require hit checks for their combos? Going back to @Galaxy Brain's charts, my Street Justice and Staff Fighting alts can definitely use a little more love! -
Focused Feedback: Other Powers Changes
skoryy replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Played around a little with this on my tank tonight. 90 degree arc, seven foot radius. I was able to get two Nemmies lined up at attention in one shot, I imagine I might get a couple more in bigger taunted spawns. EC still hits like a truck - 50% harder than DT - so it'll make spawn clearing a little faster. Only downside will be affecting my Superior Gauntleted Fist procs, might have to think if its worth swapping my ATO slotting.
