  1. I should've added that this was on a scrapper. Crits on TF get two foci instead of one, if I remember the patch notes right. For a tank / brute, I'm guessing you're looking at TF\ET\BS\EP\Bar. I'd need Mids or the focus to spreadsheet the thing to figure out if that's tighter than what you're running.
  2. I've been running TF\ET\BS\EP\Bar, I could imagine something like TF\ET\BS\EP\ET if you have a spare focus, Bar if you don't.
  3. @Galaxy Brain's ratings aren't by pylon speed times, though. They're running actual missions and factoring in clearing time and faceplants. Energy Melee is a 'C' set and that's with the new buffs making it a single target powerhouse, primarily from the ET HP drain and its emphasis on single target over AoE.
  4. Ooh. Time to go exploring and see if there's more to be found!
  5. Yeah, TF -> PC -> WH makes for a nifty rotation. You're not gonna clear rooms at record time, but at least the AoE is there. I kitted out a lvl 50 scrapper and its incredible how many one shots or near one shots I'm getting with TF and ET. The con to the pro is TF having a long enough recharge time that you're going to need a fair bit of filler in between your heavy hitters.
  6. Scrapper has the potential to do both! Wonder if it'd be worth finding a way for tanks / brutes to also get a second stored focus. I tested out a kitted out 50 scrapper for a bit, and I'm realizing just why everyone wanted Energy Melee upgraded. The FX are stupid crunchy, and now the damage matches! I'll have to run a few more tries to see if there's anything buggy, hard to tell animation problems when your character turns into a class A star the instant combat starts up.
  7. My counterargument, as someone with an MA tank, is that having a second limited AoE in the set is really nice to have. More hits, more aggro! Maybe split so that only tanks and brutes get the AoE version?
  8. I figured this was coming, but still - on behalf of all tank and brute lovers everywhere - thank you!
  9. Off the top of my head: MLTF, ITF, LGTF, Peregrine, RWZ, First Ward, Night Ward.
  10. "Its their own fault" Yeah, I think I'll just leave the discussion again.
  11. Earning your way to a great build and incarnated, sure. Keep in mind, though, that knowing how to build or even wanting to build is not that widespread.
  12. So sad to hear this, the last news I had read had sounded optimistic. Godspeed, R_M, we'll see you on the other side. 😔 Remember to enjoy every sandwich, everyone.
  13. And changing heights and body types require the specialist Icon / face makers at the shop.
  14. Minor penalties that are even more minor for tankers isn't lowering the defense and resist caps.
  15. The problem is considering a lvl 35-50 TF as max level content to begin with. If your mobs base difficulty is level 35, incarnated 50s are going to blow through them even if level shifted. They're not exactly endgame Arachnos or Malta. Also, I'll add that 'tanks wading through everything' is a function of basic game design where most of the load bearing is done by defense caps and easily attainable layered defenses. Yet in all the talk about game difficulty, I don't recall anyone ever mentioning lowering defense and resist caps. 🤔
  16. Everyone's dug in on this topic like it's 1917 on the Western Front, and they're absolutely convinced the next artillery barrage over No Man's Land will be the one that'll win the war.
  17. Given that Barrier Core Epiphany only gives insane defense for the first 30 seconds, then 7.5% defense for the next 30 seconds, and 5% defense for the last 60, I'm thinking there were either more incarnates around than just a couple or someone was bubbling. And none of them were running Ageless? Destiny already comes with a heavy decay rate, and you need certain T4s to make it perma. Its fine as it is: An 'oh shi-' button and/or way to shore up build weaknesses. Nobody takes it for team considerations aside from incan.
  18. Scourge just needs improvement somewhere to give corrs a boost when dealing with non-AV/GM.
  19. All I'll say is y'all cast necrothread way too early for Festivus's Airing of Grievances.
  20. More the enthusiasm of a handful of posters to prove someone was wrong on the internet.
