  1. By that token, playing the game is against the content guidelines as long as drops are random. I'm gambling my time for the chance of a big pay out in a purple or PvP drop. That's it, game's illegal. Was nice knowing everyone!
  2. Depends on who I'm playing. My blaster is always ready to go but everyone else gets stuck with weak attacks and P2W filler that makes exemplaring less enjoyable, so they usually stay at 50.
  3. You could always force them to run Twinsho.... ahahahahahahaha. Hooboy. That was a good one, I tell you.
  4. Have you considered advertising and running low level content for them? All I ever see on LFG for pre-Posi lowbies is DFB and farms.
  5. If its the oberst, that didn't happen. Eddie was in a different cave room.
  6. It took me a good while after the game's closing to realize there were issues with the in-game balance of power. You need a task force to take down a hero / archvillain. Wait, no, they're also EBs and can be solo'd. No, wait, now you need a league full of incarnates! Though, you could chalk it up to Choose Your Own Adventure and that's actually a neat idea.
  7. That's why you either target their runners first or pick up a hold.
  8. The story had its moments, running One Good Spider the first time remains a top MMO memory. But the story writing by and large? Hooboy... All these alternate universes and even historical Cimerora and they all had knockoffs of the Freedom Phalanx. A little originality, maybe? Paragon finally deciding to make an actual main storyline... starting in one of those previous alternate universes, then moving to where a C-list villain whacks the game's iconic hero and fridges another, and then said iconic hero would be replaced by the textbook definition of Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely. From the same alternate universe. If I want good storytelling, well, I still play FFXIV. City had some really good world building and it had it's moments, but honestly they got too cute like current day WoW.
  9. "How do you do, fellow strategical gamers?"
  10. So after spending over an hour in the mission, clearing the map, running over the same caverns several times, popping yellow insps in the vain hopes that I can pierce Eddie's perception, and re-starting the mission so I can track down his text balloon... I only found him by literally running into him, off path, completely invisible, with no visible character tag until I clicked on him. Its a minor thing but I'm tired of spending all that time on one tip mission literally playing 'Hide And Expletive Deleted'.
  11. Do I need to post Shatner again
  12. There will be those who absolutely will create a multitude of alt accounts just to give their own costumes a +1. Bank on it.
  13. On one hand, I can relate. On the other, please no more high score drama.
  14. Not that hard, as I've tried both of the others and have plenty of experience with CO. City just has more classes, more powers, and more customization in how you want to play: Gritty solo hero using only SOs to take on a couple baddies at a time or incarnated demigod with purple IOs taking on hordes or anything in between. Sure, the graphics are dated and the storytelling was never all that compelling, but City's greatest selling point is allowing the player more freedom in creating the personal story they want.
  15. I'm likely a month or two away from trying out Elec/Time vs pylon, I'll give you the deets if/when I complete it.
  16. I checked Mids' and in-game and Slowed Response has the same base 1.00x (75%) accuracy. It would be nice to slot in that Reactive proc though, so I put it in Hover in place of the Shield Wall def/end.
  17. Heck I'm doing that with my blaster if I have the nuke ready. Less chance of it being wasted because a judgement fired during the animation.
  18. First off, Actionette must meet Corpse Candle some day and just unload with Doctor Who references. But yeah, having the right character for the moment helps when you're being treated to a full blown theatrical production like that. Wish I had been there. 😆
  19. A little bit of a necro, but long story short I pulled my elec / time off the shelf and wanted to see just how these proc monsters work. I cobbled together a build from @Sir Myshkin's page one experiments, put it together on Brainstorm, and gave it a test solo +4/x8 run against Malta and Council. Aside from navigating some end issues, hooboy that was fun. Not quite as blasty as my blasters, but there's always something to press, her health bar was rarely an issue, and mobs just died fast when they weren't flopping around like NBA stars. I'm posting the build in case there's updates I'm missing or tweak suggestions: This Hero build was built using Mids Reborn 3.0.5.7 https://github.com/Reborn-Team/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! 20. That's classic supervillainy, can't see why there'd be a problem with it.
  21. *re-checks the price of orange salvage* You sure they're not already going up?
  22. And then a fifth category: Belgians.
