See, I agree. Rad makes up the slightly more durable with being slightly more offensive. Ultimately, its a matter of taste.

So the blue skittles you're chomping when fighting sappers and Carnies don't count as clickies? Also, no damage aura or Achilles procs either. And lol at 'good enough'. Y'all are really defensive about Invuln. Should I also bring in my WP/MA build that's also defense capped without clickies?

My Rad tank has a 900+ HP shield that refreshes every thirty-five seconds, slots two Achilles procs for -Res, can cap out S/L/F/Toxic resists (and almost Energy) with perma-Barrier, has a pseudo-damage aura, and gets to laugh at Malta and Carnies. Yeah, her defense isn't anything to write home about, but the defenses are so nicely layered I'm rarely ever having to hit Radiation Therapy for a heal. Is it better than Invuln? I'd say its a trade-off, a fully built out Invuln's tougher but you get more bang for your buck with Rad. All enemies have global chance to proc +to-hit

I would suggest a Skull Thug skin, but that's probably more for Titan Weapons.
-
Dominators are only better thanks to global recharge, which goes back to how do you balance things with IOs in the mix. And I'll never buy control not being useful as long as I see EBs and AVs getting frozen in ice blocks. Its more a problem that, depending on the playstyle, some controls are far more useful than others.
-
Right click -> Remove. There, problem solved. Personally I don't mind having the option at start, I have one character that actually uses it.
-
Hyper talking about trillions in the bank convinced me to go back to my old marketing spreadsheets from 2012. Orange salvage was 1.8 million a pop, certain commons and yellows could go up to 25k depending on how popular they were. Orange recipes starting at 6 million. Purple recipes going for 50 to 70 million each. Wish I had these sheets labeled so I could remember which IO was what, but man.
-
You still need some level of IOs to get there, and procs don't make up all the difference. To borrow what Sir Myshkin said, the best proc monster he made was a middling scrapper build. I'm working on an offender TA/A and a proc-heavy Dark/Dark 'troller, and both of them aren't nearly looking as great for damage as my stalker and blasters - even with the procs.
-
Procs help brutes and corruptors too, though. Especially corruptors since the proc's likely gonna fire more often than scourge. EDIT: If your damage scalar is on the low end, a damage enhancement often won't do as much for you as a damage proc would. You get more bang for your buck, sometimes literally.

Not sure how much server resources would be tied up in something like that, but that sounds pretty neat.

All enemies have global chance to proc +to-hit
skoryy replied to aethereal's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
As I learned from Arcana back in the day, it actually is pretty significant. The difference between 40% and 45% defense is you're getting hit twice as often. 30% and you're getting hit four times as often. That's a significant difference especially if your only mitigation is defense. -
Eagle Claw with the cat- er- 'wolf' legs was what sold me on making Wolfhound MA. Rule of cool always triumphs. Also Jackie Chan is the OG MA tanker. He's taken enough hits to put a blaster into months of debt.

I'm a sysadmin who works with QA and can confirm. Defect finding and regression testing can be mind-numbing work. There's no cake, just a lot of broccoli and Brussel sprouts.

Stepping back in to say, my WP/MA concurs readily. Wolf's green bar barely moves. And before I step back out: Nerf regen. -

And you've provided zero data that it is. Okay, then, letting the thread die again. -

Heck, all my completed 50s now help fund out the new 50s that come along. My latest tank was kitted out in an hour thanks to donations from all the other alts, and my new stalker just got a set of winter ATOs from everyone else's reward merits. -

No, your personal experience is one that isn't shared by most everyone else given that the prices have in fact dropped significantly. The more casual players don't have to pick up a second career in farming to keep up with AH prices anymore. -

NECROTHREAD EX MORTIS! Also, what pain. The AH has been deflating like a two week old party balloon. -

Holy necrothread, Batman! Update: Lots of necrothreads this morning. Alright, who picked up the book and said the words wrong?
-
I can take my WP/MA tank into a fire farm and clear the map without breaking a sweat, or at least breaking fewer sweats than your typical fire armor brute build. I've actually done it and my guildie with the farm build noticed. But I know I'm not clearing that map faster than the brute.
-
I'm leaning more towards the actual question should be "Do Brute damage buff powers need a buff?"
