  1. Looking good. Tidge covered the HO's; Mind Link recharging slower in-game. Meaning Hasten is recharging faster than mids says? Are you using +5 recharge in-game? You made great use of slotting and maintained good #'s, damage (w/procs dmg + x2 build up), defenses, and resists. If I weren't playing my incarnate defense builds atm this is one I would run, as slightly more cost effective, and again good damage numbers, and without the use of patron skills. If you're loving the widow and haven't already I highly recommend earning the +Max HP Accolades.
  2. Going to be touching on my pb again. I wouldn't say he has the damage to be farmer unless you turn off bosses. Can do 4/8 on some mobs types tho. Wish he could solo all. Very good for Rularuu of course. Shall dive into those binds and report back, ty ty.
  3. *Added 3 new build demo videos Fortunata "the High Confuser" Hybrid "the Contender" Night Widow "the Fortified"
  4. *Instead of writing "Build Considerations" for every build past, present, and future, I added a bunch of information to the "Skills - Considerations" Files *Videos in-progress *OP information Time-Refine Machine
  5. *Color Coded OP *Added and Further Updating Skills - Considerations
  6. Easy enough fix, thank you. The abundance of extra information is wonderful! You covered everything I wanted to know and well beyond. As soon as I get my other character post to a clean and complete state I should be returning to fix this page up after (was my thought a year ago too - but you've taken the first real interest in it) It was fun starting this build, and I'm happy to have shared it. Once I come back around to better utilize your posts, I'd love to see the build/slotting improvements you made. Much more thanks now owed to you.
  7. Added Build Descriptions before each code. Will further refine in time.
  8. Organized OP even further. Added variations of the build I'm currently playing. Not theory Crafted. Have a couple more builds, at least, to update. Noticed some enhancements within the currently posted builds were incorrectly selected, fixing asap. Putting together New Video Demos, at least one for each play style, Ranged, Hybrid, and Melee (night widow). ***Fixed Enhancements ***Added Hybrid Build the Contended Currently Running On Live: Ranged: the Scrambler Hybrid: the Contended Melee: the Fortified Loving all 3 builds. Will try for videos quickly.
  9. The build as you have it won't change much from purples. As Gulbasaur pointed out, the purple procs/sets containing procs are a good start. I might recommend, going into mids with the build goals in mind, and revisiting the enhancements & slotting. Slot the max sets possible containing the desired bonuses for the skills you have currently picked. Peek at your numbers. And adjust slot by slot if anything sticks out to you. Beside that. Psychic Wail, or Aura of Confusion would be my starting point. Purple set of PW has a better damage proc than what you have slotted. Purple set for AoC has the handy contagious proc (as Gul also talked about), however as other players (Tig I wanna say) have pointed out isn't the best option for loot rolls w'o slotting a dmg proc in the skill too. From a purely defensive stance, the contagious proc is very handy, for emergencies or mob "self nuking".
  10. After reading the forum, this Macro was part of my older entries, and was left out of the polished stuff cause it never worked right. I think because glinting eye is Human form, and in later updates made available in Nova, the cast happens without having to activate nova form. IDK how this works within the macro coding order of operations _toggles vs _name but that's my dummy thought. ... I wonder if _toggleon$$_name macro's usually function as expected outside of form switching and casts? Will have to test out. Updating this post is on the list!
  11. Thank you for trying the build! Regarding the macro at a quick glance it looks good. I will have to jump on my PB and test. Or else I'll look at the macro again in a few minutes, may notice the prob then. (My widow has consumed my coh life atm) I'll give a better response asap not at comp. ... gonna be a while ...
  12. If wiki is correct: bright nova is 1.2 White dwarf is 1 Human ranged .8 Human melee .85 But most attacks are in human form so using the .85 isn't a bad idea. So lower than 1 scale will be radial? That's where my memory is failing. I've yet to do a search for this info. Thanks for the nudge.
  13. Electrifying Fences, works great for my build(s). I like it due to many proc options + stops runners. I started using it *Mu Mastery (I already used soul tentacles as a cone damage power) because I wanted to create some builds that played more effectively w/o aid self, and confuse powers, and all those proc's help a lot. The Mu Max build utilizes procs more because it's on a Night Widow. My Fortunata doesn't have nearly the freedom. ... Damage Mitigation, if I'm playing all ranged fort build its really hard to pass on gloom. I would only skip it if I wanted to use the extra proc effects available within Mu Mastery, or thematic reasons. If AoC (and others) are working to Mitigate the incoming damage for you, and you also need the set bonuses you listed above, then you can't go wrong, for your build. ... Without seeing your entire build, and not knowing the goal posts to pass / I've read you have some pretty tight rules you follow... w/o considering these things *shrugs*. ... I just tossed together updated versions of my older All Ranged Fortunata Build (although the old one uses confuse and aura of confusion in some iterations). All depends what are your goals, and build holes. (Can switch out soul for mu without any changes - I know u know 😛 just saying) ... Take a look at the video demonstrations I posted - OP . You will see electric fences in use. Not that you asked for the above builds either, trying to cover all bases between your inquiry, and share/advice?
  14. Added 3rd Night Widow Build Traded Eviscerate for Mu Discharge
  15. Added Night Widow Builds: "Night Widow Incarnate / Exempt Build (2 versions, Follow Up and Build Up)" ... Updated Fortunata level 45+ Build ... Started Updates on Fortunata Exempt Build in-progess
  16. (#1) I was a huge proponent for having a heal, aid self, or in your case unrelenting, for widows. Have found over the past year, in most cases it is not needed. And just the last couple weeks have experienced how beneficial over capping defenses can be. I will try and give a little advice, what could be improved, but leaving the meat of your build. I would like to note that if you craft the purple enhancements, you might spend 500m on an entire build, not a bil, very doable. Forts like purples. Per your request, I have not included purples or the like in the following. (#3)If you haven't tested over capping your defenses yet, here is how you can do it using your build, but you must switch out Unrelenting for Tough/Weave. And change just a few things around: If you haven't already, use Enhancement boosters to +5 Hasten. Unrelenting: Remove, and replace for Tough/Weave. x2 slot weave, use the extra slot in TT Leadership combined with the following. Strike + Lunge: Use higher level enhancements, Touch of Death caps at 40, can use Tough for S&L damage resist. Strike: Change to x6 Mako's, you will lose ~3 damage per mids + gain 3.75% ranged defense. Lunge: Change to Crushing Impact for 5% recharge if wanted, will slightly lower lunge damage, can leave or spring for purple set tho. (#2) Psionic Tornado: Change to x5 positrons blast, will increase damage per mids. Slot the +rch proc, only worry about using during AoE situations. I would remove it from TK blast however, slot another proc of choice or move to *health. (dont slot posi dmg/rch) Foresight: Remove x2 slots, add to TT Leadership for 2.5% ranged and aoe defense at 6 slots. (use +def/global rch, def, def/end) Maneuvers: Remove x1 slot, add to TT Leadership " " (use +def/global rch, def/end) *Health: Add/Trade-in Absorb proc - this proc can save you. And that concludes the list of smaller changes I'd personally try first. ...will update if I forgot something ^.^ ____________________________________________________________________________ If these changes don't do it for you... I've been loving Lightning Cages, and Lightning Ball, they both can add quiet a bit of damage mitigation. Using these in your build would take a bit more reconfiguration. I made a few short videos where you can see them in use. I would give you time stamps but need to walk away from comp in just a sec: Fortunata Builds // Lvl 45+ Incarnate Build //&// Exempt Build - video demo - Arachnos Soldier & Widow - Homecoming (homecomingservers.com)
  17. *Organized / Edited OP *Added "Build Enhancement Attuning & Boosting" guide for Incarnate build
  18. I confirmed you are correct. Dark control didn't negate kd procs. Thank you much for the info I must triple check lightning cages now.
  19. Makes since for sets not to counteract their own effects. But I still question whether a set such as Darkness control, that has the knocks listed currently had those effect removed. Darkness control doesn't have an knockdown so it wouldn't have a reason to be changed. I do see however earth control still lists knocks as well, but has earthquake. I might be jumping on test server in a bit, have some RL first.
  20. Did i test or pay attention to that fact on my widow, I did not. However, within the power description in game I believe it's listed (on my phone atm). Thanks for the info I will review and revise if needed ________ Logged on, per power description of lightning cages, Believe knockdown, would be "knockup"? But "knock" is listed as well. Few quick test hits on mobs seems to corroborate kd is nullified. ____ Have you tested that controller immos no longer nul knockdown? Looking at just a few control sets, -"knockup" & -"knock" effects present in some. ... I may try in a bit...
  21. That seems to be the most commonly agreed upon nonpositional skills. Over the years I've seen mentioning of other attacks that simply weren't marked, or flagged is how it's put, even if they should of been. I've no proof either way, but since I'm using mind link to reach incarnate defense values, not worried either way if only a few extra skills are covered. I will be testing my builds, watching more closely at soft capped/over capped performance differences and overall flow speed.
  22. Updated OP Build Exempt Build at bottom of OP - "Circa 2020"
  23. There are two builds posted. You are commenting on the lvl 45+ build, as if its the "exempt build", it is not. If you're referring to exempting down to level 45, you would lose just a few set bonuses, build remains 100% viable (I do actually have some attuned - no whole sets - will update in OP): At level 45 with what I'm currently running the bonuses lost are: Large Regen x1 (16.74 lv45 vs 18.47 lv50) Small Hp x2 (1549 lv45 vs 1634 lv50) Large Hp x1 Large Immo duration x1 Large Movement x1 Improved Recovery x1 Moderate End discount x1 I'm mostly seeking Hp for level 50+ content, but am not against attuning the enhancements. And are the only bonuses listed above I miss. The reason you use mind link even if you have 45%+ positional defenses, is for all other defenses. ...under the impression that not all attacks are "coded" aoe, ranged, or melee, and may just simply be Fire, Ice, Energy, etc. So having higher defenses besides positionals, which would be the only defenses 45+ w/o mind link, helps for that reason. Spin, I have been running through new builds since making that post, and have traded out spin. Some skills were slotted for set bonuses. If I had your same mind frame regarding the usage of mind link, I'd agree to lessen the slots (if I was still running with spin). Health points on widows are more useful than on many other builds. The lower HP a widow has, the higher their resistances becomes. In video clips above, you will see a few hits, where due to having some what of an HP pool + resistances, boss hits barely phased me. VS. if i run on my exemplar build, which currently isn't running tough, and with 1526 health, one hit from a smash/lethal lieutenant mob can knock me out. at lower HP (which is where widows will often play due to this resistance mechanic). If HP points weren't the 2nd/3rd bonus of choice for my current build, my shields would definitely get an overhaul. HP never has been a focus of mine before, but has made my widow feel so much more durable. Touching on Melee defense, first secondary, required, skill: Widows don't need extra melee, will be your highest defense naturally. My experience may change as I spend more time on each of my two builds, the level 45+ build, and the exempt build, as RNG gods may strike heavy one way or another. Will update OP build tonight.
  24. Lol, clickery-witchery. If you're logged on the AT and want to read complete power descriptions, /respec, can buy one from AH for cheap if you don't have. Or, character creation screen, pull up the AT and read the powers.
  25. Great insights, thank you. I'll have to give that a try. Will take slot from TB for 4th slot, and move toxic proc into 3rd slot, as tb is becoming less frequently used.
