Its definitely not nerfed. More .. there's a def hit.
Rage still stacks, does the same damage and all that.
That said, because of the higher scale, you will get more out of a tanker relatively from rage. And double rage.
And the crashes are less likely to effect a tank due to their extra survivability.
Patrons of course have absolute patents on any powers in their sphere.
Mu cannot be used by electric characters to be Ex3
The gawds of lore will smite those who headcanon things differently.
Not with a lightning bolt though since Mu filed a restraining order.
This would ALSO increase prices for IOs
You would be reducing IO supply on the market by throttling conversion. Thus producing a bottleneck/scarcity.
Sure marketers would make less money, but a lot of people wouldn't be able to get the IOs they want.
If we remove markets from the game we would need to directly sell everything to players.
So IOs would need to work like SOs. Whether it included a crafting step or not.
The Devs would have to decide how much time spent actively playing on average was fair for each IO Normalized for character level. Essentially time/reward.
Farming and similar activities would either become essentially mandatory and figured into these times or be banned for throwing the system out of whack
Those playing the market are not generating influence.
They are getting influence that others generate.
Its not whether one is more respected than another.
One literally will automatically exist if you have trading in your economy.
The other is directly increasing the total money supply.
Because MMOs just print money and hand it to players when they get kill bounties, mission reward bounties and sell items to npc vendors.
Its like comparing apples to tea kettles.
Yeah they are poor but somehow buy everything at buy it now prices
And sell everything like they don't need the money.
I was able to buy 6 sets of purples for about 60% the going rate on average by just being willing to wait a few days.
I don't think farmers could possibly be a majority of earned Inf. .. not across all servers.
But a wildly disproportionate piece of the pie? I'm sure they are.
The Majority of all influence is still pumped into the game, like always, just by all the players earning it on normal missions. Vendoring off SO's, Basic IO recipes, etc.
The change just removed an exploit.
There are so many more non-farmers than farmers there is no way it is not the majority of INF created.
So basically - yes its nice in Lore they attack all part of the city
But it kind of makes the actual event BLAH and and Less Fun because you can't reliably assemble all together to do the event in the first place.
Its a great point about forming teams.
As it is I have given up on this event since I'm not going to chase teams around. I kept getting the less popular team.
I have a EA stalker that has both Stealth and Overload as mules for LOTG
Don't really need them for anything else.
But that's cool, It let me have 2 more slots for the powers I do use.
# of Slots > # of Powers in value imo
so call it 2.5 = 50 million a day, call it 5 days a week 250 Million about 1/4 what was assumed.
So you'd need more like 60 minutes a day, 7 days a week for a billion.
Which is not an unreasonable amount invested for someone looking to be "rich" in an MMO. On the low time sunk side actually.
Id love to get into that. But not sure my computer will run it.
Plus I get some motion sickness in games (the whole warning stuff) so I do much better if I can focus on a Third Person if I'm moving a lot.
I can shoot, etc for a while 1st person. But moving around the world can give me headaches much quicker. Sort of like not seeing the horizon makes people motion sick.
And VR is much worse .. >.<
