  1. Right there with ya good buddy
  2. Maelwys is basically correct here even though I take issue with the word “sucking”. My Spines/Fire Brute has a high veteran level so I refuse to abandon it as my primary farmer. But I have done a few tests where I stuck my afk Spines/Fire Brute in one meteor map and an afk Stone/Rad Tanker in another meteor map, and the Tanker had a clear map sooner. Not so much sooner that I’m going to scrap my Brute, but it was clear who the winner was. My Brute also has 3 builds, so I can at least change to a much higher damage active farming build when I know I’m going to be present to click Healing Flames. Though I’ve never tested a Tanker active farming build so I may be taking a slight L there too.
  3. Ice sets are all great. If I had to pick any that aren’t “great” it’d be Sentinel Ice Blast and maybe Sentinel Ice Armor and Ice Control. But Ice/Cold Corruptor is probably the most in-demand combination in the game right now, Ice or no Ice…
  4. Think the objective answer here has to be Ice/Cold Corruptor no matter what I personally play.
  5. I for one downvoted because you came off as both very demanding and very off-topic. So what Lumi said more or less.
  6. The problem with Granite Armor is other Tankers don’t die either, but other Tankers aren’t nerfing their offense (and mobility). TBH Granite strikes me as a noob trap these days. If you don’t even need the Fighting pool to tank Lord Recluse or Omega K’ong, why the hell would you need Granite Armor? The only redeeming thing about Granite Armor is that a pure Granite build with only 5 Stone Armor powers selected has more capacity for slotting procs, and thus they can partially offset their self nerf. Not worth it as far as I’m aware.

    Psi melee

Psionic Melee is fine compared to steaming turds like Kinetic Melee or Staff Fighting. And it is very proccable.
  8. Yes and same goes for Power Transfer.
  9. Yes, in an imaginary situation with infinite slots, there is zero reason to overlook any of the IO’s you mentioned. But yeah in reality you could have varying priorities.
  10. I would have said yes to all a year or two ago. But now I only slot the 4 +res/+def procs in taunters. Don’t need any defensive stuff on my non-taunters. And sometimes I don’t have any place to put Unbreakable Guard. ALL of my builds DO have: Panacea/Numina/Preventive/Miracle Procs Performance Shifter Proc Celerity/Thrust/Launch Procs LotG Proc(s) Kismet Proc Unbreakable Guard if slottable (but won’t go out of my way to pick up a res power just to mule it)
  11. Yes vote if it’s reasonably doable.
  12. If people want extra slots given to them by opening up the option of using Swift/Hurdle/Rest as proc mules, I wish they’d just be honest about it and state in the OP that they are looking to receive three additional enhancement slots per character.
  13. Mac user here. Not sure how hundreds are online but my launcher still won’t update.
  14. Speed of Sound > Combat Teleport in a vacuum. Combat Teleport > Speed of Sound in reality because Teleportation > Experimentation. Every single one of my characters has Teleport/Combat Teleport/Fold Space, so that kinda settles it for me.
  15. If you are using all of the various resources available to you, from inspirations to IO’s to Incarnates, you should never have a character that doesn’t even feel “viable”. Considering what you posted in the SR thread about enhancement slotting, I can confidently say that you are not using all of the various resources available to you yet.
  16. The GM clearly didn’t know what they were talking about. This is not a bug.
  17. Working as intended…
  18. Sentinels don’t get less AoE defense. The amount of defense from Lucky was just added to Evasion as a free bonus for Sentinels.
  19. I have always dreamed of a Grav/Dark/Group Fly/Team TP troll.
  20. I think Whip Melee is actually a reasonable contender for a future powerset unlike many ideas posted here, so I wouldn’t even call it a joke. Don’t know about some of the special mechanics buried in there, but let’s do it.
  21. You don’t need much besides a good taunt to tank a 4 star TF because 4 star teams rely on team buffs for safety rather than pointless defense/resistance bonuses that aren’t large enough to save you anyway. Just recently tanked all of the TF’s on an offensively-built Night Widow with basically no issues. Had no issues tanking them on my Spines/Fire Brute either. Done them all with Rad, Bio, and Dark tanks too. And none of my characters have the fighting pool or slot sets of 6 or anything like that. But yes you need to have Barrier just to get invited most of the time. It won’t be as bad as you think since most 4 star teams will have kins or colds or marines helping your endurance. But sure, I’ve had to pick Cardiac on some Tankers to make Barrier a viable pick for general play. At the end of the day, on a 4 star, the most offensively built taunter will be fine on a decent team, and the most tanky build you can imagine won’t stand a chance on a bad team. EDIT: Only caveat I can think of: if you are going to try to do 4 star Lady Grey with a Scrapper/Widow Confront instead of a Brute/Tanker Taunt… it helps to actually slot Confront instead of just dropping a range IO in there.
  22. Your powersets and your build determine your strengths and weaknesses, and I’m not really seeing a reason to introduce an entirely new system on top of that.
  23. I think this critique only applies to Tanker SR (maybe Brutes I’ve never tried?), so perhaps this could be viable to test out on Scrapper/Stalker. But basically my only problem here is that there is already a prevalent narrative around here that SR Tankers are basically immortal without giving them an absorb shield. So I can’t see Tankers specifically getting the SR absorb. I’m down to see the recovery buff tho.
