Did you make sure you’re using a map that doesn’t have Fire Swords? Is this AFK farming or active farming? If AFK you need a little more mitigation than you used to for the same results. If you address these two issues though farming is not any harder than it used to be.

Plant has a great sustain toggle and a great build up. My AR/Plant only picked 3 secondary powers and I’m happy with it.

I mean I understand the point of demanding a +4x8 radio race instead of providing a screenshot. A screenshot would immediately tell us if Mez is being truthful or not. In a +4x8 radio race, Mez is banking on his higher defenses actually saving him more time than the time the corresponding offense loss in his build costs him. And he might be right - too bad that has nothing to do with his claim. He’s hoping that he can take the optics of winning a race in something that isn’t designed to test raw offensive capability and then claim he was right all along even though he hasn’t proven the actual claim he made. It’s cynical but it makes sense.

Radios do not address my point. A build screenshot would address my point. This is like telling me to do a pylon test to prove that my character is survivable. It doesn’t comport with reason. You said you had Dark Obliteration, Soul Drain, Stealth, etc. So you’re proving your build’s offensive capabilities by… switching builds? Christ I didn’t think Mez was this obtuse. Let’s roll with it though: since defense doesn’t require sacrifices, I’m sure your pylon build with Enflame has 45% defense, right?

I don’t think the point is getting through to you. I am not saying your offense is necessarily bad - only that it could be better. This isn’t a gotcha - it’s just how the game works. Every slot you invested towards defenses could have gone towards offenses or something else entirely (mobility is also a speed consideration). To believe that your offense was effectively 100% maxed out before you even started to think about mitigation and then you made it all the way to the soft cap… we would need screenshots of this unicorn.

I am sure you handle radios just fine. That doesn’t mean you aren’t sacrificing offense/speed for defense because… that would be impossible. Not sure why 4 stars would be brought up at all since no serious 4 star build pursues defense bonuses.

Since we’re talking Dominators mine are usually sitting at about 5% defense (CJ/Stealth) and 0% resistance 🙂

Eh. No. Having to rebuild Domination once or twice is waaay better than having anemic offenses. Especially if you have a Snipe you can interrupt to build Domination in 2 seconds.

Yeah idk I’d say that changing the mechanics of how characters move in the game is a pretty dramatic change, but perhaps a dev can tell us that it is not - I wouldn’t know.

Insanity! I, for one, need a minimum of 11 pool powers on every corruptor/defender in my spreadsheet (3 Speed/2 Leaping/3 TP/2 Leadership/1 Psy or 2 Soul), so at a minimum 5 powers have to be cut.

The soft cap is real but mostly a noob trap tbh
