I assume it would at least have the following powers that already exist:
Strident Echo
Deafening Wave
Earsplitter
Sound Booster (or Build Up)
Taunt
Disruption Aura could conceivably fit with the armor set… but yeah, only 4 powers need to be designed for the melee set. Presumably a melee cone, a couple more S/T moves, and a mez or utility/buff move.
Hasn’t DPS testing objectively proven that both KM and Staff are terrible at least in that department? For non-stalkers, that is. I don’t feel like finding the threads.
Now, there can be reasons to have bad single target DPS. Like good AoE DPS or good mitigation. Spines or Staff, for example, have some of that, but KM is just bad at every category.
It feels a lot like Kinetic Melee in terms of feeling sluggish due to long activations and low DPA. The Sky Splitter mitigation buffs are a nice bonus, but I don’t think they quite justify how bad the damage is.
When I log into my Ice/Staff Tanker, I don’t assume I’ll be contributing any significant amount of DPS to the team.
Every armor set has holes, whether it be no Fear protection, no KB protection, no Confuse protection, no Psionic resistance, etc etc. It’s been this way for ever. Not seeing the need for a change.
I’m sorry that so many of us have had the audacity to speak up when we don’t want a suggestion implemented. We’ll all do our best to know our place and not speak out of turn 🙄
Would be willing to bet money that that’s an incomplete summary and that anyone being called toxic/elitest is doing a little bit more than just being good at the game.
