All of my characters have Stamina slotted with either: Performance Shifter: EndMod Performance Shifter: Proc Generic EndMod IO or: Performance Shifter: EndMod Performance Shifter: Proc Power Transfer: EndMod Power Transfer: Proc Depending on how stressed I am for slots, etc.

I’m not sure why you took the time to write all of this like it isn’t common knowledge. Nobody is “sleeping on Sonic” just because we acknowledge that it is good but nearly every other set is a little bit better.

So where are all the… types of powers typical of a control set? We can start with no single target hold and no AoE hold, though there are several other sources of confusion here.

Only problem I see with this is every item would suddenly need 6x as many entries in the AH (5 additional for +1 thru +5), each with their own bidders and pricing. If y’all wanna deal with that mess, go ahead.

Sonic Resonance is likely 2nd to last, but IMO the DPS boost on hard targets (from Sonic Siphon and Disruption Field) is basically more valuable than anything Empathy can do.

Considering you will only use SO’s for a tiny tiny fraction of the game, if at all, I would really recommend just getting comfortable with selling them.

I wasn’t referring to animations with that language. I was basically saying that having a powers tab, powers names, powers descriptions, etc. that literally says your wielding a Battle Axe while you’re wielding a ported over Broadsword model… would create the vibe of playing a game with goofy mods installed. Which, to me, would be ugly and inelegant for the base game.

Problem with this thread is twofold: (1) Illusion Control as a whole is easily one of the best powersets in the game, and it could easily be considered to be in “Should not be buffed under any circumstances” territory as a result. (2) The sub-issue of Knockback has obviously been dealt with over and over on this forum, and, until the developers signal a major shift in their thinking, we have already established that “Slot a Sudden Acceleration Proc” is the appropriate way to address any player’s aversion to Knockback. That being said, it sounds like there is room for improvements to the Phantasm’s AI, which I would certainly support.

Considering I’m at a point where I’m literally including “No Masterminds” in my LFG broadcasts, I’m not currently in the mood to downvote any modest “Buff Masterminds” suggestions. Go right ahead.

Yes vote to buffing Broadsword somehow. Yes vote to unique flavors for powersets (aka no vote to a lazy copy/paste of Axe Cyclone). No vote to players with the Battle Axe powerset running around with Broadswords because that type of design is ugly, inelegant, unserious, and way too sandboxy. My 2 inf. Happy Sunday.

Fact: Empathy is the current worst support set in the game and should be first in line for buffs. Also a fact: there are three Hard Mode TF’s in the game, and, if you’re just playing regular content and not trying to shoehorn every last powerset into the Hard Mode speed meta, the impact of Fact #1 on gameplay is going to be more or less negligible.

I can’t think of a single powerset combination that has zero access to the many powers that can slot Fire/Energy damage procs. Can you? Therefore, logically, all characters can light Oil Slick Arrow if built to do so. Trick Arrow itself can deal both Fire and Energy damage outside of Oil Slick…

Not much rhyme or reason to it but I usually go T3 Alpha -> T4 Destiny (Barrier) -> T4 Alpha -> T4 Hybrid -> T4 Interface -> T4 Judgement -> T4 Lore -> 2nd T4 Destiny (Incan) -> Done. But I don’t usually leave my farm until I’m at least through Interface, so it hardly matters.

Char and it’s not close. All of my blasters get Char and Melt Armor and skip the rest. Only exception is my /Nin blaster that went with another epic entirely because Choking Powder is literally just a better version of Char.

There are no minimum requirements for defense or resistance for a good build - you might’ve been talking to noobs.

In all seriousness I think the guy whose messages you see on your screen no matter where you are is a bigger problem.

I simply can’t buy this anymore, now that Prismatic Aether prices are at an all time low. It now costs waaay less than a character’s IO build to buy a T3 Aether item (<50% if you do full builds with purples and boosters), and I simply don’t buy that the average player is struggling to fund IO’s for alts in Homecoming. Extensive experience with both the game and the forums indicates that level of cost is very much manageable.

The devs themselves probably disagree with me and are fine with it but just haven’t got to it yet. But personally I hope they don’t add free secondary auras because I think it would further devalue the lovely Tier 3 Prismatic Aether Effects they graciously gave us.

I can confidently say from lots of pylon testing in the past that beam doesn’t hold a candle to a lot of other S/T killers.

I could easily think up a CoH challenge *you* would be averse to even trying, FWIW. So the constant grandstanding about game difficulty is just plain tiresome.

Just FYI Team Teleport and ATT are not remotely comparable. Nobody picks Team Teleport so you could be forgiven for not knowing this.
