And that's why I don't play above level 21. The game is so easy after that I don't find it fun.

My favorite AT is controllers. I now love arsenal and mind control. And FF and Thermal. Keep in mind I stop my characters at level 21, so these comments only apply to low levels. Arsenal has great AoE controls. But you fire those off and then don't do a lot. Mind control has good single target controls but not very good aoe controls. I find that I prefer mind control for being active and feeling like I am doing something rather than just placing an aoe control field with arsenla. Likewise FF has great protections with 3 powers. Thermal uses 4 powers (2 shields, 2 heals) to be about as effective. But healing with thermal feels like I am doing something. Whereas putting on the FF's doesn't feel effective. So I could play arsenal/FF and have great aoe control and support but not be very active with powers and not feel powerful - or use mind/thermal and be a lot more active but probably a lot less effective overall. Do you tend to favor active powers that make you feel like you are doing something or powers that you know are more effective even if you can't see it or feel it?

That should not happen with AS. Your other attacks start and break stealth so the enemies get to respond while your attack is happening. But AS should not break stealth until hit hits, so the enemy it hits should not be able to respond if they are killed by the attack. It is possible that some specific enemies are different.

It seems people solo or people fill teams as much as they can. Have you ever been in a team that was deliberately some other size? Duo, or four, etc? I have rarely encountered it but have enjoyed being on teams of 4 with the difficulty set to team size 8 instead of increasing the level difficulty. Every character feels more important to the team.

I normally play in a room with my wife and daughter, so I play without sound. A few years ago I wanted headphones for a present so I could listen to my computer. My F-i-L bought me headphones - but they were USB and I had no free USB ports on my computer. But with my new computer I have an extra USB port, so I can use the headphones. And the sound of CoH is shockingly lush with my headphones on. Through my computer the sound effects were noise, but with my headphones they really sound like specific things.

I found in settings there are places to save a character's settings as default. They are a bit confusing to find, but I seem to have found them all.

Just created a new character and it does not have my chat settings. I assume somewhere there is a guide to saving settings on an existing character as a default for new characters?

I saved my costume files but didn't know to save my other settings. So I just had to re-order my characters in the selection screens.

Sweet, I'm now up to 2021! It's almost time for me to cancel my cable tv.

I've was using the old launcher on my old computer. The icon looked like a trash can. It was a bare bones launcher. But installing new on my new computer, it has a new blue and black HC logo, and the launcher looks more professional with a nice blue color, patch notes listed, and shard status.

It wasn't a terrible computer. I thought I had the graphics set to max. When I installed this time it asked if I wanted to use a new setting for Ultra graphics and I chose that. I have no idea how old Ultra mode is.

I thought I had seen CoH as good as it could look. But I just got my new computer and ultra mode looks fantastic. It's a whole new generation of graphics.

That works very well. Do you just have the feet slightly lighter than the legs? The blend always seems odd to me on the boots.

Not using all 3 (although you can). But these are fairly distinct items that I rarely if ever seen used in game. So what character can you make with the princess hat, talon boots (tall or short), OR the jester neck ruffle

Okay, I have now tried the new TK and I like it. It has been very handy for pulling groups together that are scattered - especially after some dominator has them all immobilized while scattered. Not an Iwin button like Seeds of Confusion, but a solid power that I intend to use a lot.

Thank you for supporting the nerf to Procs and the other things that make characters overpowered and bringing the challenge back to the game. As you say - when characters are nerfed so that the game is challenging players will have to adapt and actually...*gasp* LEARN NEW TACTICS :O. It is support from players like you that really make a difference with the developers.

I will get to this but I am having computer problems and have a new laptop ordered due in a few days.

Please show what facts and logic have shown that there is a massive proc nerf around the corner. Or discussion of a massive proc nerf around the corner - besides this thread. And please explain what facts and logic have shown that procs are not a problem. This thread is simply a collection of hysteria, strawmen, and ad hominem attacks.

QoL - everyone gets stamina, upgrade button for enhancements, AH access everywhere, etc Which one would you rollback because it made the game worse some how? And which one was the biggest improvement in QoL?
