...My mind boggles over clicking powers...

Someone heard you.

Claws/Spines are 0.924s, the rest are all 1.32s... I'm sure the math can be done offa that, but my gut feeling on the stalkers I've ran to 50/given that proc to... I slam BU everytime it is recharged, unless I'm about to finish the spawn - then I save it for the next one. I feel it is more game-changing than even the Scrapper ATO's. References: DM/Inv - 50 Staff/SR - 50 Ice/Regen - 50 Psi/Nin - leveling Elec/EnA - leveling Sav/Ice - leveling

This, not enough this... Most of the content/lore/material is sub-50. And that level 50 will play very differently at lower levels as you're climbing or going to content you've missed. I recognize people farm, and if that's fun for them to powerlevel yet another 50 that they park, then good on them. I'm the weirdo who enjoys the journey and the change as the toon grows and gets better.

Been a year, here's an update: Been too busy playing other games... But I did get Vovok'din to 50 and kitted out - WM/EnA is bonkers, pun intended. Criticality, Tw17cH, and Wreiki are all parked at 27, waiting for commons to get freed from other alts. Caementum, Criticality, Glacissa, Muddled, and Mythed are all working their way up. Errants is a reroll of a StJ/Shield Stalker... Loved the StJ, but just could not get behind the concept/character holding a shield. Also working their way up the ladder. Rest of the powersets have been shuffled a bit. Some combinations have been stolen/reserved for other AT's (Psi/Regen), others keep getting secondaries shuffled until I actually roll them/think of a solid concept for them. Been a fun ride trying new sets - Looking forward to my final opinions.

Steal from other postings of those sets on the forums, either together or alone. Make your own "terrible" build and post it. More effort on your part leads to more effort on the forums' part. None of it is needed - the game is perfectly playable at default difficulty and/or on only SO's for enhancement. Also, did you hit 26.9% Defense? That's 3x Def SO slotting with just the 3 BASE Ninjitsu defense toggles. If you're running Weave, Combat Jumping, and Maneuvers as well - gets you to 25.2% UNSLOTTED, 38.6% SO Def slotting. A small purple gets you +12.5%, tossing you at ~51% for a minute. Easy stretch of +6% from the Steadfast and Gladiator globals (3% each) puts you at 44.6%, in combat, with only 2 IO's, SO's everywhere else, and no set bonuses. More effort on your part will lead to more effort on others' parts. Try... SOMETHING and throw it against the wall/forum. You're just begging, here.

Using SO's or common Level 25/30 IO's: 1-2 Acc in powers with a ToHit check - ideally get to 95% ToHit against most foes you're fighting, wouldn't stand for much below 90% 3 Dam in powers that hurt things 3 Def/Res/Heal/EndMod in powers that keep you alive 3 Rech in powers that take a while to come back 1-3 EndRed in anything that costs Endurance Yes, you only have 6 slots/power, you'll have to make trade-offs. Alternately, can explore Set IO's for frankenslotting (multiple dual/triple/quad aspect IO's enhance more for the total slots) or Set builds to grab those sweet, sweet set bonuses.

Neither Claws nor Energy Aura have any major holes, so minimal need to shore up the build.

Folks who say they're in Closed Beta, usually aren't... Or won't be for much longer.

Yet another "Help a returning player choose and build a DM scrapper" post
Due Regard replied to fxds's topic in Scrapper
Siphon Life - Slot it as an attack and spam it. VERY very useful for maintenance HP. And now recall the Buzzsaw better... Midnight Grasp > Smite > Siphon Life > Smite > repeat. VERY tasty. -
Yet another "Help a returning player choose and build a DM scrapper" post
Due Regard replied to fxds's topic in Scrapper
I've ran a DM/EnA Brute on Legacy, and a DM/Inv Stalk here on HC. Haven't rolled a DM Scrap, yet. However, I can say that both EnA and Inv appreciate the maintenance of SL and -ToHit of all dark attacks. Also, the Brute was an ST only buzzsaw build - MG > SP > Smite > SP repeat. The Stalker has VERY much enjoyed the changes to ToF. I still hate Shadow Maul, tho. Refuse to take it. My only caution AGAINST DM/DA is my inherent bias against "matched" Pri/Sec. It'll also be perfectly functional. -
Deciding which heal pool for a sword/shield scrap
Due Regard replied to normalperson's topic in Scrapper
I've been using Unrelenting to great effect on my WM/EnA Scrapper. The AoE Taunt is useful to start the fight and gather folks for draining, and then I grabbed the Fear for concept and why not? I'm used to taking a dead pick for Fighting, what's another? -
Just how effective are multiple Chance for Build-Up procs?
Due Regard replied to Story Archer's topic in Scrapper
Nope, 4 Power Pools, 1 Epic/Ancillary/Patron Pool. -
Deciding which heal pool for a sword/shield scrap

Those two uniques are odd, as they're useful, but you get a similar benefit from 3 slotting Numi's... -
Savage Melee / Dark Armor you'd like to share?
Due Regard replied to CFIndustries's topic in Scrapper
Whelp, I dunno what happened to his build in my Mids... gonna have to rejigger it, anyhow. -
Low effort posts get low effort responses. I meant either/or as needed.
-
1 Acc, 3 Dam, 1 EndRed in all attacks. 1 EndRed, 3 Def/Res in all toggles that take Def/Res 3 Rech in Energy Drain/Build Up/Energize 3 Heal in Energize. Salt with pool powers to taste.

Tangent - What were/was the position of the OG team/Rednames on Tribute toons? I know (recall?) the official position was verboten/3 degrees or more of separation - But what was/were the individual thoughts on them?
-
All Scrapper Primaries are viable... However, some of them are going to be worse than others, and Staff is near the bottom. Still perfectly useful at flipping out and killing stuff.
-
Wouldn't that be UNHOLY?

Bring Story Content in line with Code of Conduct
Due Regard replied to Due Regard's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yup. Kinda ludicrous, isn't it? Amazing, someone who understands what that part is intended for, and why a character advertising themselves as an IRL drug dealer would be against the Code of Conduct, but one who's just dealing with in-game lore might not be (or shouldn't be, personally). Amusing, also, just how many posts are attacking my mistaken original post, without any substance beyond that. Partially correct - I'm not actually advocating for sanitizing of content to match the Code of Conduct. A far more reasonable stance would be to relax the Code of Conduct so that it is enforced to the same level of maturity that the game itself has. I do think Lt. Harris' arc is inappropriate in general, and even more so as a lowbie arc - enough that I've only ran it twice - once on Legacy for the new content, and once on HC for the toon I was trying to do ALL content with. -
Bring Story Content in line with Code of Conduct
Due Regard replied to Due Regard's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Not really - RAW, the Code of Conduct would disallow even an in-game reference to drug dealing by player characters. I'm positing that if it is forbidden by the Code of Conduct to players, then it should also NOT be present within the game. Alternatively, if a player character is only referencing in-game lore, regardless of Code of Conduct violations - it should be allowed to remain, as the precedent is already set by the established universe as being "okay" to portray. I'm not trying to do so. I'm attempting to make a clearer separation. Even sanitized, it was incorrect for me to bring up the actions of the moderation team in a public setting. This thread is also on the moderation teams' radar, not the least of which because I directly sent it to their attention to help ensure I was playing by the rules expected. It has not been locked, so take what you will. I was cagey about explicitly stating this because I was not meaning for this to be a public condemnation or critique of Homecoming's moderation team. If I could've edited the OP in the locked thread, I'd've done so. Regardless of the catalyst that initiated my concern, my point stands: There is a double standard between user-created and in-game content. I advocate that this double standard be removed. As there is a reason I play here, and not on 4chan's server (if it even still lives?), I do not want the Code of Content removed or loosened - ergo, I advocate that the in-game content be brought to the same level of appropriateness. Also: Who're you? Please don't devolve into personal attacks via patronizing language. I don't know you, so I don't think we're friends. -
Bring Story Content in line with Code of Conduct
Due Regard replied to Due Regard's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Nope, I've had objections to some of the content for a while. I just hadn't taken the time to speak out about them, as it wasn't on my radar. Then, due to circumstances, it was - and here I am. Note: this is officially unrelated to any actions the Homecoming team took, as that would be discussing moderation decisions outside of proper channels. I am not here to further break rules, nor encourage others to do so.
