My Ice/Regen Stalker says nope. Granted, I run with Ice Sword, Assassin's Strike (Why is this not "Spear" to go with the Ice theme HC devs?!), Frozen Touch and Frozen Aura. Then Build Up, Placate, and Ice Patch - but none of those are direct damage. Hate cones, never took Frost, never felt the lack. As I was leveling, I had Frozen Fists for better attack chains, but with IO's I managed to pare it out.

@Errants - because I love getting free stuff. Caveat: I've not played all of these on Scrappers to 50, but I scrap with every toon I play, so I'm drawing some parallels. Claws - Ginsu blender of doom, doesn't even need the flippy attack to be useful. Fair warning, I've not yet actually played this to 50, but I have played DB on legacy, very similar with BF/FU and stabbing things - Claws just does it better than DB. Dark Melee - Punch all the things. Ran a DM/EnA Brute on Legacy (Nick Fitt), absolute blender/brute, even without a damage aura or AoE attacks (Buzzsaw build). HC DM changes look like gravy. Electrical Melee - Only mid-level with an Elec/SR Scrapper, but been a fun ride, just too many alts. Jacob's Ladder is much less painful than Shadow Maul, and you get the best modifier on the tele-nuke. Single target can lack a bit, though. Energy Melee - 100% reviewing this just from forum information, have yet to roll one, let alone play it. But when 257* scrapper-fu poster are all saying it's the new hotness... it's the new hotness. Katana - Far too many hours on Legacy with a Kat/Regen, my main and badger there - Katana is jack of all, master of style. Looks cool, sounds good, great power names. Decent AoE/ST, and the Lethal damage can be offset with liberal sprinklings of -Res procs from every power doing -Def. Radiation Melee - Just have a baby Rad/Shield... But, damage aura primary? Not anemic ST damage? It's Spines, but better. Street Justice - StJ/Shield Stalker for reference - Visceral, mean, quick, AoE and ST. This set just FEELS good. So many giggle moments. Also, the power names? And from what I've read, there's minimal change with Rib Cracker vs Assassin's Strike, if anything, the Scrapper chains are easier. Titan Weapons - TW/Nin, 47ish... Schoolgirl with a jet-propelled hammer. One of the few unique AT power combos left, and it is absured. Yes, TW was nerfed; yes, it devours your end bar; yes, it is still VERY effective. I've been soloing AV's with her since the low 40's, to include Mako's Patron arc.

Build Request for Fire / Energy / Fire Mastery Dominator
Due Regard replied to Radeon's topic in Dominator
Create something, first, and see if that gets more hits. Post your current build. Or what you think you should do. -
Fortunately, both Legacy and HC devs seem to be of the opposite mindset. Which, yanno, I think is great! Agency to the players!
-
Pro'ly due to only 3 powers being affected by Domination, and the double invis/utility power in the primary. Grav isn't that far behind, though...

1k slots per server, roll all three.

Pokemon Scrappers - Or, how to play them all...
Due Regard replied to Due Regard's topic in Scrapper
I fail to see the issue. -
I recently did exactly this, following this guide for maximum shenanigans. I used an Ice/Regen Stalker - As long as you're back in Hide by the time the ambush arrives, it's comical. They follow you, hug you, but won't attack until you're out of Hidden. Additionally, AS and Placate for aggro management make soloing a BREEZE for most of the mobs. Yes, there's one or two tricky spots with ambushes/fights from cut scenes... That's what enhancements are for. I leveled her all the way on Gold XP only, and by the end of it was fighting +1x4 even through Ward's arc and finale. I was with a set build at that point, but most of the ride was SO's with the two key Stalker ATO's.

Slot DP for Recharge first, then Accuracy and Healing. It'll take a lot to get it close to perma, though. (I'm at 280% in it and at 32 seconds.) Totally worth it. I am running Dark/Psi with it, though, so also abusing -ToHit for additional resiliency.
-
Very much is usable as a Stun that just happens to rez teammates.

Brah, you're so salty on this you've gotten both your accounts and a buddy (or is it a third?) to downvote me. Edit: It's a 3rd, you created it 5 hours ago... Also, it's the only one who's given you props. Enjoy your circle-jerk to convince yourself that you're the good one here. You're not, and you're absolutely toxic over it. Why are you booing? I'm right.

Fury builds by attacking and being attacked. */Ice allows for +End... allows for more attacking. As long as the fury builds, who care where it comes from? I need to roll an */Ice brute some time.

Touch. Grass.

My first Perma-Dom (couldn't afford it in Legacy), and he's a monster. Defenses aren't maxed, but between spamming Dom'd Stuns from PSW and HoD, as well as adding in -ToHit... I play him like a scrapper.

Pokemon Scrappers - Or, how to play them all...
Due Regard replied to Due Regard's topic in Scrapper
Whelp, hells. Planning on a revisit of /Ice with StJ/... Or, I could start a different 100% toon via one of my other alts. It is only pixels. Agreed, though - always thought Spines/ was rocking, but never rolled it Legacy. And while I love my Spines/Ice... My TW/Nin is stronger and not nearly as kitted out (44ish). -
Golden Tank - The ideal tank for soloing Praetoria and all golden content.
Due Regard replied to MrWallace's topic in Tanker
Trilogy isn't infinite, and I'd rather run Flashbacks (losing 2 powers - 47 and 49 - on a nearly complete build) for better merits vs endless infinite missions with Fireball. AE wasn't required, just a little bit of Ouro via my base portal. -
SS/INV Brute. Does anyone have a build? Or an I just overlooking it?

Due Regard replied to MrWallace's topic in Tanker
Remember, NW content caps out at 39, so you'll only have access to Lvl 44 powers if you stay gold. Just finished this project myself, but as an Ice/Regen/Weapons Stalker - Had to pause exp at several key points to NOT outlevel contacts. Used @Redlynne's guide for Betrayal shenanigans. And then @Apparition's for First Ward to avoid out-leveling issues. Couldn't get the exp fast enough for Night Ward, wound up flashing through it once full, and then once again all the way through Ward's content for 50. I echo to focus on Offense over Defense, due to slotting issues and lowbie mob HP. Mez pro is really all you need. -

Whelp, coming from the Kat/Regen being the Badger on Legacy, it's not been so bad. Why the condolences? -

1 slot wonder for the +Perception IO in anything ToHit? It is a global, so doesn't require power activation. -
Loyalist <-> Resistance ... switching alignments EVERY TIME for Praetorians
Due Regard replied to Redlynne's topic in Guides
Finished! 1-50 Gold ONLY. Had to repeat NW content fully once, and then got 50 on second flashback, during the Defend the Midnighter Mansion. Been an interesting ride. Went Betray always for the initial contacts, then completely changed concept of toon (keeping powersets, yay costumes and renames) which kept me from deleting her. Did both good and evil through NW arcs and repetition. Ice/Regen/Weapons Stalker Now to do the earnest but easily swayed Confirm alt. Thinking something other than Stalker, but still with mez protection... Thoughts/suggestions?
