  1. The more I see you on these boards, the more I see you're not looking to help, just to pick fights. These seem like reasonable changes. Can I also add a request for clarity on which arrows/powers actually have a ToHit check applied, versus which summon pseudo-pets/fields to drop the effects? I keep wanting to play a TA, but keep getting confused over which ones I need to worry about Accuracy and which it doesn't matter for.
  2. It could be both how you're slotting and what you're slotting, as well as your powersets. Additional details on what you're running and/or a build may gain you additional information. Also, at level 22, you're just getting to the point in the game where you can slot Single-Origin (SO) enhancements, which are the base level of enhancement with which powers are balanced on. If you're using Dual or Training Origin Enhancements, you're only getting 1/2 or 1/4 respectively in terms of benefit per slot. Emphasis on your quote is mine. The game and powersets are designed and balanced around SO's, NOT IO's, temporary powers/buffs, nor incarnates. Offering these as a solution isn't actually a solution, it's applying a band-aid to a bigger problem of either improper builds or poor balance. One can be rectified by the player, and is more easily done with constructive advice, versus "wait until 50, or go play the market!" There's actually a HUGE discrepancy between the different defensive sets in terms of their endurance, and I'm working on a master post/suggestion to try and rectify/bring them into alignment with each other. But, cliff notes version: unslotted, with all toggles running - defensive sets range from +0.08eps to +2.32eps passive recovery. This isn't accounting for the 8 out of 13 powersets that have either passive or click-based endurance recovery tools.
  3. So, I was working around, chasing +Recharge, slotting out powers... And I ran out of slots. Crap? Anyhow, what are the thoughts/feedback on this first pass? Really enjoying this toon, currently level 28, and shaping to be a monster on just common IO's. 4. Side note, do they let you just make a kheld / Veat on the opposite side now? No, but with travel powers at level 1 for HEAT's, and a little running and luck on VEAT's, you can get to Pocket D at level 1, talk to Null, and swap over.
  5. So, I rolled a Spines/Ice on Homecoming, and been enjoying it. I had a Spines/Fire on Legacy that I got to about 30 or so, but this feels much better/resilient/flexible. Currently running a Common IO's build with 25's, as well as a Steadfast and Gladiators 3% for an extra 6% def... (love the merit system), and am level 32. So, I started looking towards end-game build... Looked to permanent Hoarfrost, Hasten, and Energy Absorption, fell short on Hasten. Considered bringing up the Fire/Cold Defenses, but bonus hunting there seemed tricky and build-breaking. However, if you've got a better way to skin this cat, PLEASE let me know. Without further meandering... Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.962 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! 7. Granted, they haven't been touched in 6+ years, but Mids Hero Planner is still viable and useful for everything but Sentinels. Start messing with builds, there. Longer version, at low levels, you're going to be sucking wind, A LOT. Abuse the Rest power to recover in-between mobs, use inspirations to recharge, and/or just wait. Your attacks are definitely using more end/sec than your toggles are. Add Brawl into your rotation as a Brute, it builds Fury, recharges fast, and has little/no end cost IIRC. Then, use your bigger attacks to finish off the mob. Slotting is a mess at low levels, as you get higher up, you'll earn more slots for your powers, and also gain access from Training Origin to Dual Origin to Single Origin (each is 2x as strong as previous). There are also Invention Origin enhancements, which the generic ones are as strong as SO's, and the Set IO's can be a weird mish-mash. Also, with Energy Defense, your Defense shields are typed off of the damage - Fire, Smashing, Lethal, et alia... Look at what the mobs are trying to hit you with, and try to run the ones best suited. Always run your mez shield, though. While I didn't do Kin, I did do a DM/Nrg brute to 50 back in the day.... once you get up in levels, it is hilarious fun... sneaky/smashy/punchy fun.
