I'm running a Rad/Bio brute, and would definitely agree on /Bio. I enjoyed it during i24 Beta, and was bummed when the shut down the game before it could go live. My Psi questions have actually been for my Rad/Psi Tank. I'll be keeping all of this input in mind for him once I level him up more. Thanks!
  2. Heroes being criminals. Maybe I need to start making them Vigilantes.
  3. I've looked through all the bind guides I know of, but haven't been able to find one I'm looking to do. I know it's possible because I used it before, but have long forgotten the commands. I need to set up a two part bind for targeting specific enemies. The bind would set up the second. For example, if I was in a mission with Sky Raiders in it, and I wanted to single out Engineers, the first bind would start up the chat that sets up the second bind where I just type in the target name and hit enter. Can anyone layout the bind command for my inept brain?
  4. Thanks for that! Those are gonna be super helpful. Does anyone know if an easy method to move an object horizontally after you've place it? For example, I have an object I've raised above the floor, but need to move it sideways without lowering or raising its height, but that's way easier said than done.
  5. Aren't Controllers now a control primary without any other offensive capability? I would agree this kind of approach would probably be more viable. Defense/Control-Melee. Maybe Tank Multipliers with Scrapper caps on defensive, and Defender damage multipliers and controller level mez. Limited range powers to keep them very much "in the thick of it".

Darn. I was hoping it would improve as the I leveled up. Might have to replace it.
  7. A dark, shadowy version of Macho Man Randy Savage?! SLIP INTO A SLIM SHADY!
  8. Let me preface this with the fact that I know not to expect too much anytime soon considering the limited resources the dev team are working with. I'm grateful to even be playing again, and pretty much all I'm doing here is entertaining a hope for down the road. That said, the concept for Sentinels was once considered too OP to think about. But here we are, slightly weaker blasters with slightly weaker Scrapper survival. So, what could be next? A slightly weaker controller version of the Sentinel who have practically no attacks or damage? Are there balance issues that would be too difficult to work around?
  9. I started playing shortly before the issue that nerfed dumpster diving. It was entertaining to watch, and excellent for XP. I remember being in the Hollows and joining a team for a Troll cave mission (I think it was the one for Atta). The Inv/ tanker herded that whole map into one room and we just took pot shots at a massive mob, left the boss alone, stepped out to reset, and repeated. Not having a cap on how many enemies you could effect was ridiculously hilarious.
  10. If I were to base this off my time playing and the drop rate of set recipes I've gotten in that time, I'd say no one's gotten fully IO'd out yet. Especially if they're planning on Purple sets. The population isn't all that high and it's only been about, what, a week? Add to that queues and server down time, I think it's a safe assumption to say "not yet". Then again, it's always possible someone or some few have had the time to play as much as possible with multiple accounts. In which case, they *might* be some IOd out. Given that nothings guaranteed for permanence, I've been reluctant to think about getting IOs. Not that I haven't been planning plenty of builds...
  11. I was wondering the same thing. Would be nice to have it at least be room specific. I get the feeling base stuff will be low priority though.
  12. *record needle scratch* Whoa whoa whoa... they added a KB-to-KD IO into the game?!?
  13. Hold down Alt to rotate the piece in shorter increments. And use shift+control to lower/raise the item in relation to the floor. Does anyone remember there being some options for large rocky surfaces. I remember being able to use some that would take up a fair amount of space in a room, but I've looked through all the tabs and can't find anything like that now.

Aw, man, I was hoping Sweep would be decent. Cone too narrow, or damage too weak? Good to know about the endurance.

  16. I'm not sure what you mean by easily mezzing you. /Energy has solid mez protection. While it doesn't have Psi defense, a lot of Psi attacks aren't typed for position, so it's a hole either way. But, with DM and Energy, you'll have two heals available and lots of endurance management. You also get some +recharge in /Energy. I'd recommend it for a fun build. I think I had one back in the day. I could try finding the build for it.
  17. Don't be so pessimistic. They're decent. There's a few powers that can hide your costume, but you can set the customization to minimal effect. As someone that likes seeing their character, I haven't been bothered by them.
  18. I'm currently leveling up a /Bio brute, and can say that it the build has some great adaptability. If I'm getting support of defensive numbers, I can switch to Offensive mode and deal more damage. If I'm getting into a hairy situation, I can use both Defensive mode and theirs two great powers for recovering from burst damage. A PBAoE heal that adds regen and recov, and a power for absorption and heal. And the Efficient mode is great when you've worn down your endurance in Offensive mode and need a second to recover (that is, if you're PBAoE isn't up). I tested the set before back when they were doing beta for i24. I remember someone posting a comparison video between Bio and Willpower in large groups, and not doing any attacking. For a while, they seemed to be neck and neck on survival, but after a few minutes, Bio was able to keep going while WP was eventually overwhelmed. It's a pretty darn solid set and worth taking a good look at. If Brute survival is good, I can only imagine how well a Tank would do.
  19. Some insightful answers. Thanks all. I won't bother messing with Cream Soda based on the input.
  20. Mod Edit: Please see our announcement from Discord. Locking this thread. Saw an announcement on Discord about a better version of the Tequila launcher being available called Cream Soda. I haven't seen any mention in the announcement forum, so was wondering if this is what we're suppose to be using now. Has anyone used it yet?
  21. ...and then I'm immediately booted out.
  22. Might I suggest create your character quickly, without spending time on costume, and then taking care of those details in game since it's easy to do so?
  23. I'd be more interested in knowing if there would be a way to export SG bases we've built now. If a server wipe should come along, it would be nice to not start all over *again*.
