I got some 50's slots open and played them till vet 12 when I had enough emp merits to T3 all the slots, then levelled up a few alts that had lingered in the lower levels for months and got their slots open and vet 12, then created a dozen or so new alts and got all their slots open and a few vet levels on them. So far I've slotted a couple of them, but it's carnage on my character select screen and I have deleted a handful after stripping them of anything useful as I found they weren't much fun when I played them on the mapserver. Sometimes you get a feel for a character that it's going to be fun, other times you feel it's going to be a slog. My favourite, which surprised me, is an arsenal dominator. I tried it on beta before it went live and wasn't impressed, but it's got kind of reasonable damage and some spectacular holds. It's a lot of fun if I'm honest. There's a bit more strategy to it than I expected and I'm glad I gave it a go.

See, this is why Lays aren't sold in the UK. If the bag says chips I expect chips not crisps

If everyone who said "Reported" actually reported I'd be considerably busier than I currently am

This was a quick google image source as I'd already eaten it by the time I posted. I usually get them from a local butchers

I'm currently running a 32GB ram 32 core AMD Threadripper with a NVidia RTX 4060TI. The game is really pretty 🙂 -

Character was reset...due to copywritten costume? WTF?
GM Crumpet replied to Niizzy's topic in General Discussion
To be fair, Haull is a different play on Hall so it's got a good chance (even if generic'd) of that being reversed. The Monty Hall dungeon was an utterly ridiculous supplement with so much treasure it was impossible to carry it all away. "I load the treasure onto the mule". How much treasure? "All of it". OK the mule is so overloaded it's completely buried and has died of suffocation...... -

Good ideas, you may want to think about putting them in the suggestions thread where more devs can see them. -
Is there really a massive proc nerf just around the corner?

This thread seems to have run it's course. I'm going to lock it -
Turn the VPN feature off and any ad blocker. There is a security question and a captcha. Sometimes the captcha doesn't show up with those on. It also might take a few goes with the refresh button. We have no issue with VPN's or adblockers generally. Use them as you wish. They just sometimes interfere with the security settings of the forum software.

pop a ticket in if you are still stuck so a GM can complete it for you. Tell us the name of the character, the shard it's on and the number mission it is in your mission drop down list. 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. As for this problem I have already raised it with the devs and they said it should have been fixed. I'll raise it again though.

You are going to take the advice of an artificial intelligence with a series of pre-programmed responses seriously? All hail our new GM Bot overlord!! (Just in case it's listening) 😛 -

Why the mastermind hate? I love masterminds and I play them a lot. I also don't see teams carrying a well slotted and well played mastermind. I've seen badly played ones where the player has no idea how to control their pets, but that's the minority -

And apologies, I'd forgotten that post (such a long time ago). As the dev said, much of it is conceptual and on the list to be looked at without any kind of time scale, or actual interest in pursuing it. -

Barring a comment from a dev, I'm unable to say yes or no. The only time I've heard this (and the conversations I've seen about a so called aprocalypse have been going on for over four years at this point) has been from players. Are the devs looking at procs? Who knows? Procs in general can be game changing, but not game breaking. If they do decide to do a run on procs the chances are it will be to look at the ones that underperform and tweak them to make them better. Our devs like consistency and things to work equally across the board. Under or over performing stuff gets looked at all the time, and any changes are generally small to bring them in line with other similar powers and power sets. The devs have a massive list of things they want to do, and much of it is very low level priority so gets looked at if a dev has a particular interest in that area, or it's been bumped up to a priority for game breaking or balancing issues. There are older power sets and AT's that need loving far more than procs do. When the devs make changes there is a whole process before it even goes live. Internal testing, alpha testing, closed beta testing, open beta testing and eventually release to live. Players are involved in most of the steps and their input is invaluable. A lot of changes never get out of testing and even some on open beta have been rolled back due to player feedback. If there are proc changes you can be sure there will be plenty of warning and player feedback will be taken into consideration. It's not suddenly going to appear on live in a patch and a "there you go". -
Character was reset...due to copywritten costume? WTF?
GM Crumpet replied to Niizzy's topic in General Discussion
Use of other peoples IP has always been forbidden. Names, bio, costumes. All not allowed. The costume creator is incredibly flexible and it's almost too easy to create a character that we look at and go "Yup". There is no animosity, sometimes there is admiration. I've seen some stunning costumes that I've truly regretted nuking. However, referencing other peoples universe, naming after a character from someone elses universe, or using the appearance will often get you reported and generic'd. We also allow the right of appeal. If you have a good reason for the character not to be generic'd you can reply to the ticket via the forum with your reasons as to why it should stand. It's then passed to the Lead GM's who will adjudicate and make a decision. I'm the one who does the majority of the generics, and I'll happily apologise if I'm wrong. It has happened. Not very often though, and just going "Oh it's spelt differently. or is the offspring of who just happens to look identical to" isn't generally a compelling reason. -
League Running, Scaling Enemies, and Annoyance
GM Crumpet replied to SpookTheHerd's topic in General Discussion
I've been in leagues like that and it works well. As long as you have good league leader with an understanding of the mechanics it's not a problem. I was in a league a few days ago with a level 35 leader who did exactly that. They moved people about so the lowbies were in their team. -

Some powers are quite important and helpful. I find Ageless invaluable on some toggle heavy builds. When constantly attacking I'm often slowly losing endurance as the rate I gain endurance is slightly less than the rate I use it 🙂
