Am I missing something about procs? (Reaction Time)
InvaderStych replied to Zhym's topic in General Discussion
Ditto. Have this IO in Sprint and Reaction Time ignores it. Or just the one got missed. None of this should affect globals like RegenTissue or Numina's. You should be seeing those +regen and +regen/+recovery bonuses just for having them slotted, I thought. Been a while since I put them anywhere but an auto. I will say that Preventative Medicine works just fine in Reaction Time; though I could not say if it was triggering with stealth up, or just with sprint active and stealth-cancelled because of combat. -
My apologies, but I must bend the rules here: Mostly because The Landfillharmonic is an amazing thing that more people should know about, but also because the incomparable Lindsey is one of the artists I will post here where it is too hard to choose just one. - stych. Lindsey Stirling & The Landfillharmonic - Transcendence Landfillharmonic Documentary Website: https://landfillharmonicmovie.com/ Lindsey Stirling - Underground I don't know if that's called a "counter-melody" that kicks in at the 4:00 mark, but it's breathtaking.

Steps to repeat: Blaster: Beam Rifle Customize to Elite Vanguard Redding (The one that can be tinted). Complete character creator. Enter Tailor Interface. Weapon Customization resets to default and incurs a fee. Reset To Chosen Model to clear fee. Exit Tailor Interface. Re-Enter Tailor. Weapon Customization Stays constant from this point forward. Log out then back in for the pattern to repeat itself. Only tested with single rifle model, only tested on costume slot 0.

Are Paladin events still bugged in that they need a Zone reset to start firing, or did that get fixed? Edit: They are not. Thanks @AboveTheChemist! -
She's fun. 😄 Check out her appearance in Series 19 of Top Gear (BBC, original cast). Won't link it here because not everyone is a fan and don't want to derail the thread. Also, for today's entry: Turnpike Troubadours- Before The Devil Knows We're Dead

Yeah, it's radius is small. I like it for the fast activating, fairly reliable KD though. It's a good way to keep things in Rain of Fire for a few extra seconds. Well, fwiw, I went with 2@3pcs of Fury of the Gladiator (Burst of Speed and Dragon's Tail) for 6pts. Plus the BotZ -KB piece in Combat Teleport and that gets to 10. In terms of dropping a power - looks like you've got Breath and Storm. I went either/or and kept Rain of Fire, Breath was too slow imo. You might find some space there - especially with Hasten you'll have plenty of attacks. I fiddled with Acrobatics early on while leveling the Fire/MC. Decided to drop it in favor of other things. Don't have enough experience with either to really say. I have a stalled Ice/Time I'm going to eventually re-roll into a different AT and I've never played with Water. Pretty sure the choice here is up to which one you have more fun with. As understand the mechanics: Water is a more modern set with more variety in damage type and secondary effects and Ice is fast, hits pretty hard, and very classic. Both stack slows onto Reaction Time, so yeah, Dealer's Choice as it were.

Yes, but not with regards to auras. And with the caveat that it's not really *that* much of an imbalance. It's not that aura's don't crit. It's that Scrapper Secondary Powers don't Crit. Please correct me if my info is out of date, but nothing in any Scrapper armor set; auras, Shield Charge, Ground Zero, etc will ever generate a critical hit by design. Quills crits just fine, despite being an aura, because it is from a primary attack set. Crits were baked into primary powers and eschewed by design in secondaries, iirc. Now, as to the question of balance: Brute's Fury will boost the damage of all damaging powers in a secondary armor. Auras, SC, GZ, Burn, and so forth. Tanker's AoE Radius and Target Cap buffs affect all of those same powers from their Primary armor set. So the question is: Should the Scrapper (and Stalker, by extension) versions of those powers have the Critical Hit mechanic written into them?

Could we get a few more specifics about your Vampire? e.g. ... ... if I was going for the "High-Class Elder, Council of Evil, Several Hundred Years Old, Turned in Middle Age or Older" type I'd go with something like /Dark, /Time, /Ice (select powers only for ice). Or if I was going for the "Turned before middle age, physically fit, stunner, any number of years old" type I'd be incline towards something more kinetic and blappy (which I guess isn't in line with your ranged goals ..) and perhaps even off the wall like /Ninja or (at the risk of sounding like a broken record) /Martial. Unsettling/Spooky Child wants to be /Mental, all the way .... Classic Nosferatu/monstrous types ... hmm... back to the same sets for the Elders I suppose? I'm sure there are more. Either way, as I implied in your other thread if sustained fun-time is the key, then enjoying the powerset combo is more important than the build options. Everything has build options. 😄

There is nothing "sub-par" about ****/Martial Combat. The slow in Reaction Time is downright vicious, combining it with Ice/ should be extremely effective. Huh, Artillery sets. So that's where you folks get all that ranged defense. Interesting. The real blaster experts should chime in, but I've been fine tuning my Fire/Martial blaster as it very quickly took over as my favorite toon so I'm going to give it a go. Your build definitely rocks more defense than mine in terms of positional, but I basically considered m/r/aoe coincidental to chasing s/l/e (also using ScorpShield). I know there's debate on such things, but /MC wants to be in melee range enough that I figured I'd go full bore for typed def. It's good for me to look at a build coming from a different direction. As primarily a melee player I had no idea how to build for ranged when I started my fire/mc. Here's a few thoughts: Hasten doesn't need 3 slots. It's off-perma with 2 slots, but that doesn't really matter for /Martial as the FF's can help take up the slack and ***/MC is spoiled for choice with buttons to press as it is. You can probably get away with 1 slot here; I am fairly sure there's a path to perma-hasten with only the default slot but other folks can post up and say for certain. If not perma with 1 slot, near-as-makes-no-difference. I chose to drop Hasten in the late 40s in order to retain Combat Teleport without dropping Leadership. Storm Kick hits just fine without the extra accuracy enhancement. 5 slots there for the KC+FF and move that slot to Eagle's Claw. The 5pc Winter Melee set in EC (all but the hold proc) gets you more -rech resistance, better S/L def, and better enhancement values. How is the -Res proc in your Rain treating you? I went 5pcs of Ragnarok there for the +acc/+rech, and the Knockdown proc looks like it gets 2 chances in the duration? Tactically I don't always use the rain, so -Res there never occurred to me. Your build probably doesn't need the +def from the Artillery set here, and could also benefit from the +acc/+rech from the purple set instead. Last thing that strikes me is the lack of KB protection. Aside from leaning really heavily into Clarion is there something I'm missing? Hope some of that was helpful, or at least semi-accurate. 🤣

Anything/Martial Combat. Endless mini-games with Ki-Push, BoS never gets old, and the animations are excellent.

Blueside "Who Will Die" Theoden's first mission: Triggered the "Cavern Collapsing" timer, ran back to the front door to trigger the "another way out" message, and on my way back (where the @#>$>! is that exit anyway???) managed to fall through the first room (Terraced sides with lava trench at the bottom) into a very deep pit. I did trigger Combat Teleport mid jump/fall so might have found a hole. No idea where in the room it is or how I actually got through it. I think I fell through the side towards the rest of the map, not the exit side.

Very True. PM has plenty of long animation times as it is, but maybe @Replacement has struck upon the key to giving Boggle a usability bump. Giving Boggle a variation of the Touch of Fear treatment: For starters, ToF's activation is 1.97; at the very least Boggle's should be reduced to that. Port over the Range/Radius/TargetCap to Boggle, and mimic the mag difference on the confuse. As with the new ToF, the single target gets the primary confuse, and the fractional mag in the AoE applies the "Increased Insight Chance" status effect. .... It's a thought. 🤷♂️

This. All Day. Every Day. This And Only This. A single target taunt on a Scrapper is highly unlikely to be useful as anything other than an auto-skip for anything other than the rarest of outlier play. PVP players please speak up if Confont is useful in that context (as I wouldn't know) and if you'd rather keep it than not. Yes, we have the wonderful goodness of Combat Teleport - but that shouldn't stop us from do the right thing with Confront. I've always envisioned Scrappers as the type to bee-line the biggest bad and get right up into it's face. Single-Target, Non-Damaging, Notifies Enemies, With Burst Of Speed's Range. Maybe without the triple-tap functionality to keep CT desirable- although treating it like BoS (longer gaps between taps, then very long recharge after 3) would obviously be more desirable than a single use with long/very long recharge. It could probably even take a slightly longer activation than the teleport counterparts to make it thematically a "bum-rush" rather than a true "teleport."

This. When did we start running Pylon tests after burning half a tray of inspirations? I missed the memo! 🤣

Thanks. That all tracks. I would have definitely missed the link in Alphas when I watched that show as I've never really watched W13. Fargo's story arcs were always hit or miss for me; the cross-over episode (what I remember of it) I rank as a miss, but in general I felt Eureka really fell off in later seasons, still fun, but not as compelling as s1&2. I suppose that it took itself less seriously in the later seasons was sort of one of its strengths though, so there's that. Sweet. I didn't want to start dropping random quotes and comments, and the get smacked for spoilers. 🤣

Wait, was there a written connection between these shows, or is this a fan-theory thing? I vaguely recall a late-series (For Eureka) cross-over with some really popular character from another show, was that W13? All I remember was Fargo's goofy "I has crush on u" b-story and that the Eureka characters seemed to know about things from the other show. Okay, as I am writing this, yeah, I think I am recalling the connection. But with Alphas? Any links there I definitely missed. The cancellation of Alphas after season 2 was a downright shame. That show had a lot going for it, but it couldn't step out of the shadow of its genre at the time - namely Heroes- so it didn't really catch on. Is this a re-watch or your first time through? I could ramble on endlessly about the underappreciated greatness that is DS:9.
