  1. All fair answers, thank you! I won't shy away from those sets!
  2. You guys areamazing, I keep learning new things here. Now I have 3 new tanker ideas/concept: Ice/Ice, SR/Savage, and either Elec/Staff or Elec/Dual Blades. Or maybe even Elec/TW. I need to stop thinking about those and actually make them. Edit: Made me a SR/Savage. She's hectic! She's everywhere! I love it! I'm thinking that I would have had more band with a brute but I keep reading how SR is so awesome on tanks and I'm curious to see how crazy unkillable I can make her. Is it just me or does SR not have a taunt aura?
  3. Hello beautiful people, I was looking at some of the more fun S/L powersets like Savage Melee, Dual Blades etc and I was wondering, since S/L is so universally resisted at higher levels, especially Lethal, are they worth it? Especially since more exotic types have a fun gimmick tacked to them. Ice slows, dark blinds, fire... well, burns. An inf for your thoughts.
  4. Sooo... what advantages would a Elec/Staff would have over a Fire Staff? As a matter of fact, what other Primary marries well with Staff? the character concept is a battlemage (hence the staff) so I'd like something more explosive than good ol Invul or Willpower Ignore that bit. I'm looking at the other primaries and unless you guys have a really compelling argument in favor of Staff with X, it would either be Fire or Elec. Quick glance, with no enhancement whatsoever: Elec trades overwhelming fire resist for energy resist (duh). It gets zero toxic instead of zero psionic, and it has 5% more S/L resist and 15% more to the other types it resists, but fire has more options for damage. Elec is very, very interesting, I never explored it.
  5. Yeah that shouldn't be an issues. I have my fair share of enh boosters in stock and if not, money = easy.
  6. Just out of "curiosité". What makes you so sure Lusca is a she? Have you personally checked? I would like to see your diploma in Hentaiology right now, sir.
  7. Oohh that's some pretty interesting stuff there @DocMidknight! I'm going to check this out tonight on Mids! So Shadow meld is 3 seconds animation every 30 seconds? This is bad... I would like to keep it but instead of a semi-permanent tool, I'd go for a "OH SH.." button.
  8. I like the way you think.
  9. I already have an extremely useful and prolific, nice little farmer brute on my wife's account (She knows, she knows 😉) Though I don't think I've reached a single accolade on any of my characters. But are they really necessary? Incarnates already break the game to a point beyond ridiculous.
  10. So. Many. Things. I want to try!
  11. I was... not opening the right build! This explains that. Hi Sovera. How have you been. haha. (Man I feel stupid right now)
  12. There be the awesome!
  13. @SoveraMy apologies for coming back so late but I'm now wealthy and ready enough to spec this tank properly and I'm looking at the build you provided. I understand most of it except for one thing: You split Gauntleted Fist and Eradication 3/3 on two different powers. Could you explain what benefit there is behind this approach? I tried to understand but I can't see it... Thanks!!
  14. Something like this. I can't say if I like it or not. It relies heavily on Unleash potential and Shadowmeld and probably won`t really shine until Some good Incarnates but look at all those happy powers! (The last thing I want is a super awesome cookie-cutter build that has only the same three attacks on rotation for the rest of my life) This Hero build was built using Mids Reborn 3.0.4.7 https://github.com/Reborn-Team/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! 15. 🙂 No worries. So far this build is not getting anywhere. I'm trying to get Shadowmeld on the shortest CD possible But it's still off for 13 seconds between uses, which is a LOT in a heated battle. I've also crammed ungodly amounts of purples in there just for the heck of it, money isn't an issue, but I feel I'm still way too much of a neophyte there. Still have 5 slots to place. When I'm done, I'll post it here so you guys can add some much valued advice 🙂
  16. There's also the fact that every build I meet out there invests extreme amounts of powers/slots just to get S/L and Melee defense to 45, leaving every other form of damage mitigation floored. When happens when you fight an all ranged or an exotic damage enemy group? I'm going to try and balance things a little bit. Worse that can happen? Nothing really. Respecs are cheap and Sets can be unslotted and recycled/resold if necessary.
  17. Hello beautiful people! Alt after alt after alt, it does seem like I'm always doing the same thing. I'm levelling this DM/Da Scrapper, love her a lot so far. I'm playing with builds and I was wondering, this character has quite a few healing options already. What if I skipped the fighting pool, freed myself 2-3 powers in the process and tried to play around with tools to mitigate the damage received instead of trying to passively avoid it with 1-2 toggles and yet another useless mule (boxing). I know there are some really knowledgeable vets here so, am I on a path to grief and sadness? This is not a build request. Half the fun is to come up with the build myself but you know, just asking a quick question here. Thanks!
  18. We won't know until someone tries and documents if over several colorful excel spreadsheets! (I do not volunteer)
  19. Thanks for the tip! Always useful to know! However in this case, my problem is that whether I just do a static screenshot (Printscreen button) or a partial screen capture (Windows+Shift+S), it always captures something that my game was displaying 3-4 seconds before. It's like... (Ominous voice) THE SCREENSHOTS THROUGH TIME!!
  20. And yet sometimes... [Insert proper screenshot here] I will never understand why CoH screenshort are never in sync with what's REALLY on screen. Basically, one of the packs I was opening contained Reward Merits 25, Brain Storm Idea 20, Reward Merit 50 one Blistering cold and one Avalanche
  21. ... to the wallet.
  22. No one should mess with a superhero's hair and CoH's capes understand this just fine.
  23. Pretty much: "The only MMO I have ever played that doesn't feel like a chore." No dailies. No rep grinding. No pointless repetition.
  24. Wow... this is why I really love this place: ask one obscure question and get showered with answers, ideas, concepts and love. You guys are the best! I wanted to use force of will for my Kin/EA Stalker. Now I know that doing so IS a good idea 🙂 Thanks! I'll try to see what characters among my legions of alts might benefit from the two others I have yet to try.
  25. ... for a lack of better term. How do you guys call them anyways? I am of course speaking of the Experimentation. Force of Will and Sorcery power pools. I said "hybrid" because they combine elements from many flavors and add one travel power. Do people ever use them? I don't think I've ever seen a build with one of those on here. My guess is that they are levelling tools that you eventually spec-out when you reach endgame but I could be wrong. What's the general opinion?
