  1. Lol. For the record, it looks better than the pic above (and better than Skyrim at HIGH settings). I get it, the game isn't your cup of tea, but stating it makes a $4000 system melt is misleading. From all reviews I have read, and from my own experience with 50+ hours in the game, this is the most bug free game from Bethesda.
  2. I am playing on low settings for sure but it doesn't look bad. Gameplay is very smooth, no stutters, and transitions are quick. Images aren't as sharp as they would be at high settings but neither is my vision . My point is that even with minimum specs the game looks good, runs fine, and is completely playable. A high end system will look better but it is by no means a requirement.
  3. The game runs just fine on a low end system let alone a $4,000 rig. My system doesn't even meet the minimum requirements and I haven't had any issues. The game isn't for everyone, for sure, but system requirements is not show stopper.
  4. Actually, my card has only 4GB. In my experience, minimum requirements still have some wiggle room.
  5. Playing it now, kinda like Fallout meets Mass Effect. Started playing at 5:30pm yesterday and finally logged off at 4am Friday when I happened to look at a clock The gameplay is fun, worlds are huge, lots of walking. Would be nice to have a buggy or bike to tool around in for sure. For those wondering on system requirements, I am playing it on a refurbished Dell i5-10500 with 32GB ram, 2 x 1GB M.2 drives and a nvidia GTX 1650, pretty low end for modern day gaming. Granted I am running on Low graphic settings but gameplay is smooth and I have only encountered one crash (during a transition to outside) in 12 hrs. Pretty remarkable for a Bethesda game tbh.
  6. I am sure some were just trying to be helpful, but in the end you have to do what is right for your health. If they don't understand that it is on them.
  7. You don't really need Stealth. You can simply run by the mobs, even with just Sprint, and you can bypass them fine. You may catch a rock/blast/bullet every now and then but nothing to worry about. Slot a Panacea proc in Health and you won't even notice. There are some ambushes that will follow you but they see thru Stealth so they are gonna find you no matter what.
  8. Knockback is always a treat when you are trying to bunch things up for AoE. Not everyone tries to put baby in the corner.
  9. I always slot a Panacea proc in Health at level 7 and run an End Mod SO in Stamina until level 18 when I slot either the Performance Shifter or Power Transfer proc depending on my endurance issues. Generally I do not slot anything else in Stamina unless the build is end heavy (I'm looking at you /Dark and /Stone armors). I usually only slot up Health with one or two more slots for a Numina, Miracle, or Regen Tissue proc depending on the needs of the build
  10. The joy of this game is that it allows for many different styles of gameplay. Removing or nerfing a form of play into oblivion is not a viable option. For every team only player there is a solo only player, for every farmer there is an never-have-I-ever-farmed player. For every Yomo there are...well, everyone else. Personally, I like to farm sometimes, I like to solo TF's, I love running through goldside. About the only time I team is when I happen to be available to fight Hami, otherwise I run strictly solo. These are my personal preferences and they probably differ from yours and that is okay. I just want to play the game.
  11. Nerf regen. Seriously, I would love to see a fix/buff for regen. Add some +absorb, regen debuff resistance, etc.
  12. I am not sure what you mean by saving Seer 1381. If you finish Interrogator Kang's arc (Loyalist Responsibility) before finishing Dr. Steffard's arc, you will not be able to complete the Resistance Warden arc in Imperial City. The safe bet is to complete Steffard's arc (and thus gaining Seer 1381 as a contact) before starting Kang's arc. The final mission in Kang's arc will remove Dr. Steffard from the game. At the final mission in Seer 1381's arc you can either side with her (Resistance), or defeat her (Loyalist), but you can't kill her as she appears later on in First Ward (as Katie Douglas).
  13. Aaron Walker is removed during a mission from Dark Watcher (Warden Arc). If you start Calvin Scott's arc before doing Crow's and Helix's you will miss their arcs. You get Calvin Scott as a contact the first time you choose Resistance. The problem is he gives introductions to Resistance contacts but once you are level 15+ you can inadvertently start his story arc and remove Crow from the game if you are not careful. Please note, there is no requirement to be introduced to contacts by Scott and Marchand. You can always walk up and introduce yourself to 3 out of 4 contacts per zone (depending on your current alignment). The Crusader contacts are only available to Resistance and the Power contacts are only available to Loyalists. Some contacts are killed during the course of the story arcs so if you are trying to complete all arcs you will want to finish those contact's arcs sooner rather than later.
  14. What AT/powersets keep me playing? All of them.
  15. Did you include the new cover sheet? Did you get the memo? I'll send you a copy of the memo.
  16. I have 80 characters so far that do this. 40 blue side, 40 gold side. Each pair share a general theme, sometimes same or similar powersets (Claws/WP and Savage/Regen for example). Half the Praetorians go Resistance, half are Loyalists, all complete all arcs in the 1-20 content.
  17. I play on Torchbearer. Few people, less drama.
  18. You can also simply run past the ghouls (or anything else) as the mobs have a very short leash. You may catch a stray rock, or at worst a PPD jump debuff. On maps where you don't have to defeat all, or especially on the big ambush in Bobcat's arc, speed is just as effective as stealth (more so on that Bobcat mission as stealth is useless there)
  19. Thanks Lemming! I reread Apparition's initial thread on the subject and he was trying to get all of the introduction dialogs from Scott and Marchand, which would require the early level locks. I think I stopped calling Scott for introductions right after I started his arc by mistake when I was trying to get Crow's number. Little gotchas like that are annoying. The Dr. Steffard/Kang conflict makes sense but Scott's mission should not be available at all until after you complete Crow and Helix.
  20. I wonder how the Bobcat ambush mission would be on a full AoE team
  21. I am just the opposite, I love the Praetorian underground, it is one of the things that draws me to Goldside over Blueside. The only thing worse than a blueside sewer is a blueside cave system. I'm talking to you, 'layer cake' cave map! My least favorite mob has to be the Destroyer's Blast Master or the Seers, simply irritating. Ghouls and Clockwork I can live with. They are slow, easily bypassed, and have funny defeat animations.
  22. I always run all four arcs (I have to get the 'Agent of Praetoria' badge title), usually siding either Warden or Responsibility. I do enjoy the undercover plotlines. I tend to run the 3 available arcs concurrently getting each final contact to the morality mission then picking one to switch sides so I can run the fourth arc. For instance, currently I am running an undercover Loyalist in Imperial City doing the Responsibility, Power, and Warden arcs up to their respective morality missions (McKnight, Sinclair, and Seer 1381 contacts) taking care to complete Dr Steffard's missions before finishing off Kang's final mission. I will complete one arc as Resistance to open the Crusader arcs then run that up to the morality mission. At that point I make my choices based upon the original theme of the character, making sure not to lock out an arc due to alignment conflicts. Sounds more complex than it is. I guess what I am wondering is if most people focus on a single arc at a time or multitask 3 at a time?
