  1. It's dumb simple. CL-Snipe-SH-CL-JB-SH-CL repeat.@Pzn and I tried to make a procced WM work, and I can't quite remember, but I think the only way I was able to get it close was NOT taking snipe and still put the ATO2 in Clobber. There was no time difference.in either, really. I just *really* like having a combat snipe, and the build for it is straight through, so that one is definitely my preference. WM/BIO Proc w/ Melt Armor
  2. No. Below WM. Pretty middle of the pack now.
  3. Nuke as the one in the build? Sounds like its not a temp 😛
  4. Stone Armor is right there at helping boost DPS with Bio. It's really good stuff in that regard. Set just needs a taunt aura IMO. Obviously. DB is amazing stuff for raw DPS too.. Honestly, the time isn't surprising at all. I personally would invest more time in the secondary but OMG I can't stand not having a taunt aura.
  5. I do have data to support this and have posted it multiple times, actually. I LITERALLY have data on every scrapper primary and have played them all. I have posted that data multiple times. I can eyeball changes and numbers and get pretty well within the ball park of how something is going to perform, DPS or survivability wise. I've played this game way to much for way to long (since launch). I have...extensive experience with TW. On live, post live, and post nerf. What I said, preference wise, stands for me about it not being worth what you *can* get for what you have to put in to it now. @StriderIV I enjoy my EM/RAD a lot, but I definitely don't think that's the best pairing for it? I think like you. I'd rather it be a defense set for scrappers. But that comes down to preference. I have a EM/SD also, and it's really really good. Obviously, I think EM/EA would be a really good one. But I have two EA characters already 😛 @hejtmane KM is a weird set. It's a lot of work getting the set down, but once you do, it definitely isn't bottom tier. If you don't get it down, it definitely is at the bottom. With that said, is it worth the work? Up to someone else to decide that. Either way, punching people with the sound of a Ducatti motorcycle, or race car, is pretty awesome to me. Also, a procced out Broadsword isn't top tier, but it definitely isn't bad. It goes from bad to decently good when procced. You can make a Electric Melee scrapper do OK ST DPS, but staff scrappers stay at the bottom no matter what. That set looks AWESOME, but OMG don't ever know the numbers or you will despise it. I don't know where they talked about the proc changes, but it's something they want to do.
  6. It's not gloom and doom, but it's bottom-middle of the pack with a lot more work involved compared to anything else. You have to invest just as much as before and hope RNG screws you even less. And you can't have a single mis-step with the new chain, at all. Relies way to much on having enough recharged to get Rend Armor multiple times each round of momentum, and there is no wiggle room. If you lose momentum before that next RA, you lose a lot of DPS with the slow RA windup.
  7. TW got freaking hit super hard when they nerfed it. It's a wild amount of work to make it be as good as it can be now, and the AOE is pretty "meh" now.
  8. Here's my take (and I've played every single primary for scraps): CLAWS (also AOE) DB EM Kat WM MA SM RM IM TW DM The top 4 are all right there with each other, so RNG can sway that whichever way. Now, this is important...DB, Kat, and Claws are procced and respond well to procs. EM does not. So, when they do nuke procs, I'm pretty confident EM will easily be number one for ST DPS. When the nuke happens, RM is pretty dead in the water too. Also, Spines is NOT even close to being the best AOE. The set is a minion lawnmower, and that's it. Anything with Boss HP or higher comes along, the set is dead in it's track. I'd wager my DM can out AOE a spines scrapper.
  9. *reads notes* Wow, amazing Quality of Life stuff. Stunning. *reads further* what the...really? I guess typed Defense can go...itself.
  10. DA will be pointless with SR and NIN. Good thing really if you ask me. Both SR and NIN for scraps are pretty good, the reasons have been covered why. Don't think you could go wrong with either. I'm personally a fan of Defense based sets over everything else for scraps.
  11. Not every set responds well to procs, and honestly, I personally like the "straight through" simplicity of set bonuses myself. Hey, each their own. When the hammer falls on procs, I personally won't be to butt hurt about it, but I will definitely miss Radiation Melee. That set will be pretty dead in the water.
  12. ED the damage, proc the rest. Have fun.
  13. Here's my current one. It actually does pretty good AOE. Did 5 minutes on a trapdoor run my first time with it. Maybe this will give some ideas. Oh, Shadow Punch isn't even on the bars. Granted, it could easily be used when Exemping if you need an attack. It's a set mule. So is Tough.
  14. lol they will never nerf tankers. They'll set this game on fire and change defense mechanics and run everyone off before they nerf tankers. Funny you say that though, I feel the game gets wayyyyy to easy when I play the tanker. No fun that way to me.
  15. I gotta really respect this one. Fun > optimal(?). I'm with you Bill. I think regen is a freaking absolutely horrible set (I catch up on that thread some times and laugh and laugh and laugh...). But if someone is enjoying it out the wazoo despite what I would consider annoying? More power to them. That's why I love this game. People ask "what should I bring?" and I go "whatever you want to play". I might cringe when I see it's a mind/emp controller, but hey. Wevs. As long as they are having a good time. Also, @ScarySai, thanks for the DB/ENA run. Now I don't have to 😄
  16. Careful. Devs just might decide to change one of the core mechanics of the game to make their job easier at the expense of everyone that has been playing the game since 2004. 😄
  17. No one needs to carry me and most of my toons are in the 500-600 DPS range. Some pop in to the 700-800 range. And this is without Lore pets and Hybrid toggled on. I'm not unique with this. This is malarkey. Anyone should be able to make a VERY viable toon with very high end DPS and not sacrifice the rest of the game to kill a pylon solo. This is absolutely a ridiculous statement.
  18. Set mule it up. I do that a lot. Take powers just to be set mules.
  19. Sorry for not being more specific. It's not good overall DPS and I don't like the way it disrupts my flow. If you have enough recharge, BF-AS-SS-AS is a combo-less chain and better DPS than any combo. The reason I have, and use, Nimble Slash in that build is because it is procced out and has less than ideal recharge to pull off that chain. Nimble Slash fills in that gap with it's fast animation and gives the Empower combination. I have about 99% certainty it will do better DPS than a build that relies on Attack Vitals. If procs get nuked, the build will change to something that will easily have enough recharge to do BF-AS-SS-AS. The DPS won't be as high, but the overall stats will be higher. And @Bill Z Bubba, you should question yourself. That's a bad power 😄
  20. I wouldn't use it. It's a very cool looking attack. You do a dragon uppercut with a sword? OK! But it slows down the chain a LOT and doesn't contribute to the Empower combination the chain I use uses. If the build wasn't procced out and had more recharge I wouldn't even be using Nimble Slash in the chain.
  21. Everyone's interpretation of min/max is gonna be different, but here is my take (and I LOVE this build): For clarification, I like to make things dead. Making something go to zero HP is the best CC and mitigation. Obviously, you want enough mitigation to do that. ENA does that is spades.
  22. I'm just now seeing this thread. And this is the reason why I always disliked the Pylon/Trapdoor thread in the scrapper subforum. Always felt like it should be in the general AT forum, cause both threads are open to ANY AT.
  23. I never could get brave enough to do the melee thing with a ranged character. I KNOW it is absolutely viable play style, and I've seen some WILD results. I'll just sit around and hover and pew pew pew back here....
