Just keep in mind that Scraps cap resistance at 75 whereas Tankers/Brutes cap at 90. That's a big big difference. Like, my x/rad scrappers are almost all capped to SL resistance BEFORE meltdown, so I'm really just keeping it on cooldown for that sweet sweet damage boost when its up. Granted, it boosts all resists so it's pretty darn tootin' nice for other stuff too.
-
Man, I just really like Rad Armor a lot for some reason. Yeah, resist oriented sets aren't the most ideal thing on Scrappers to me, but I really enjoy it. I literally just completed my BA/RAD tonight. I just like the FM/SD pairing a lot cause of the costume/concept goes with it sooooooper well. SD is another easy one to love, but man is it normally really hard to build for.
-
Usual suspects. I just ran my numbers paired with x/bio see to how it measures up to everything else. I know when I EVENTUALLY get around to making one it will be remaking my FM/SD. There isn't a "bad" primary any more after this last update. That's baller.
-
Fiery Melee is stupidly high ST DPS now. It went from no-tier all the way to top-tier.
-
Honestly, it adds enough for Bio levels of damage. Big drawback for ME personally is Stone Armor for scrappers lacks a taunt aura. As for pairing? I don't see how it wouldn't go well with whatever you like to play. Obviously the PBAOE aura is going to really help a ST oriented primary a lot, but it helps everything.
-
Tanks for this. That would still be a ridiculously fast time without the amps and hyrbid on.
-
Was Hyrbid on or off? Also, this is funny, cause I was rolling around the idea of doing a Ill/Fire/Ice dom. I have a Plant/Fire/Ice one but it sure isn't smoking ST stuff that fast.
-
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you. And I'll reiterate. You don't agree with my testing method? Nothing stopping you from doing it yourself. Your "feel" that a maximally saturated Soul Drain has never been proven to be the bees-knees when it comes to DPS. For anyone reading this, the % of damage boost is what matters. I've definitely had good results pairing DM with Rad on a Brute. I currently really enjoy my DM/BIO/SOUL. I don't like how squish bio is, but the other offensive powerhouse option would be FA to help with the AOE, but there isn't a taunt aura for scrapper FA. Stone Armor is another REALLY good option for boosting AOE and overall offensive output AND being pretty tough, but it wouldn't have a taunt aura either.

Don't think. Just punch/stab/kick. Repeat. Get yelled at in team chat for not listening.

This says wayyyyyyy more than you realize. Moonbeam and Zapp are exactly the same animation/arcana time and damage. Open up mid's or go to CoD and see for yourself. Look, if you don't agree with the way I collect data then go do them yourself. There is nothing stopping you making whatever combination you want on brainstorm. Don't sit here and tell me I'm wrong because your OPINION doesn't line up with my data. Show me I'm wrong. Also, quote or tag me so I actually know you referenced something of mine. And considering I have VERY little patience to debate with someone trying to tell me I'm wrong via their OPINION with no collected facts then I suggest you move it to DMs.

This is an understatement. Someone can post the build they use to achieve certain things, but if someone is performing 50% less (or more) it ain't gonna happen without some practice or coaching. There are going to be some universal similarities in all top-end builds of those players, but they will still likely be very different due to playstyle.
-
Oh, I just do my tests with /bio so they all match. I play different secondaries on Live. I've done x/bio with EVERY primary for scrappers, but I only play Claws/Bio and TW/Bio on live. Bio is soooooper squishy compared to the other top-tier secondaries. I don't crank out as much damage with them but I still pull off really good DPS with them. And Ele Armor is a top tier armor for staying alive and cranking out DPS. DB/ELE used to rule the school for DPS on scrappers.
-
I was solo hunting GMs/AVs with this guy. It absolutely does. I could be in trials, pop Lore, and solo bosses in a reasonable time.
-
Nah, I purposely chose /Bio cause that's the secondary I use to compare all the sets. The extra -RES, PBAOE Aura, and +DMG/+TOHIT is what carries them 😄
-
Cold/Sonic. Craps out a LOT of -RES and buffs defense for all. Can turn of team of auto-brawlers in to murder borgs. If you get paired with someone on the team that caps everyone's DMG then you just went flying past the damage cap. Seen this combo turn a crap team to a good team plenty of times.
-
That's where I had it on Beta. The blank slot is where the -RES proc goes. I don't even take Cremate on FM. I was averaging 1:08 with this. Noticeably better ST DPS than anything else I played.
-
I found the post where I linked my d*ck! It's in the same thread where people were posting pics of themselves. Also, hi @Leandro!
-
The set is very DOT heavy so it does "best" on a brute. If you want frontloaded damage you're gonna look more at a tanker or a scrapper.
-
Me too, cause I REALLY love the way a weapon and a shield look together. This honestly makes me hope that Broad Sword will get a revamp, cause I can make it work with BS/SD and it looks so good to me. I play my BS/SD just on looks alone. BS and BA were right there in performance to each other, but the BA on Beta completely left it in the dust.
-
I thought about doing this combo, but holy cow is it incredibly slot hungry to get to soft-cap and keep the other stats decent. A FM/SD/MU works really well though. Got a BA/RAD/SOUL and FM/SD/MU build ready.

Focused Feedback: Fiery Melee Revamp
SomeGuy replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
OK, I am picking up on your logic, and in that context I absolutely would agree. My own personal logic is the other way around though. Minions/trash don't matter. They're going to die with people with just brawl set to auto. Slotting doesn't need to be optimal. Things with a high HP pool is where that matters and that's where a team can really get slogged down, or even fail (I've seen this happen). Blowing up a large amount of minions IS a lot of fun for me. I have missions on each of my characters specifically for this so I can just log on and brainslessly nuke some nazis. This game is amazing to me at being a build-your-own Musou character sort of game (think dynasty warriors). Obviously that's not for everyone all the time, so I feel like we are fortunate enough to get other more deliberate options (hard mode content, etc.). Like I said, I am definitely biased in my thought that is a possible (I feel likely) hurt to fire farming but I'm not gonna be personally bugged by it. I've got a Rad/SS tanker. I'll just respec him to AFK farm SL content or something. -
Focused Feedback: Fiery Melee Revamp

I was listening until you said that. Out of curiosity I read the rest of your rant. Woo boy. @Sovera says some wild stuff too, but he ain't wrong at all with ya'll's debate. I see your point that the application of -DEF from two of the attacks in FM on Beta are a stealth Fire Farm nerf. Cascading defense failure in a pure fire farm definitely seems likely now, but that doesn't mean if someone wants to farm they can't do a S/L farm or something. A rad/x tanker with their AOE attack ctrl-clicked would be just fine in a S/L farm. Or inv/x or...you get the point. I'm personally not to butt hurt about the hit to fire farming cause, yes I do fire farm, but I AFK fire farm. And only if I need to. I personally see a buff to Fiery Melee as a big big win and the nerf to fire farming as a win also. Is that annoying to me? A little. But there seems to be wayyyyyy more positives with this change. I don't actively play in a Fire Farm, never really enjoyed it. Each their own. So I do get your frustration. @BrandX these changes were a VERY significant bump to FM's personal DPS.
