I never lost taste. Smell? Yes (I know...). My smell is still jacked up.

Right? EM does some wild stuff when the RNG god's smile at it. It does get straight silly. I personally never figured out a way to get anything worthwhile out of EM proccing it out, which is nice in a way. I can build straight through and it gets a lot simpler. Other sets like Kat, Claws, DB, or BS? Different story. I suspect that may have to do with those sets primary type of damage for how they benefit so much from procs. I don't think there is a "best" pairing for anything. Best is (and I truly believe this) what you have the most fun with. I personally just *really* like EM/RAD, even if I think the best pairing for it is ENA. But I think the best pairing for every set is with ENA 😛 I also used to think Bio was always the answer. And at another time Shield. Tastes change. But my own personal answer to the thread title? My WM/SD scrapper. The costume/name is why. My EM/RAD is REALLY close though. And for the same reason.

Correction. FU-FOCUS-SNIPE-SLASH-FU-FOCUS-SLASH-SHOCK I got to admit, I really like Shockwave even in the ST rotation. The KB-KD proc in it is just so much fun, and the fact I can put in the -RES proc is just aces. And the base damage/cast is super similar to Strike.

I was getting 1:10-19. I think the average was like 1:11 or something.
-
It has 136 with Hasten on and no outside buffs. Which it does. I park it Cim for the 10% and Ageless gives a minimum of 10% at it's weakest.
-
lol it darn sure is I run with FU-FOCUS-SNIPE-SLASH-FU-FOCUS-SLASH-SHOCK repeat
-
Not sure how you are doing Claws/Bio to be less ST damage than EM/RAD. I have both also. Either way, I frickin' love my EM/RAD.

Energy Melee/Energy Aura build, looking for feedback
SomeGuy replied to Stormwalker's topic in Scrapper
Here's my take on your build. I took out Focused Accuracy because OMG it cost a lot and really isn't needed, especially since this has 62% global ACC. I moved some slots around. This will definitely eek out more damage. And it has more global recharge (almost perma hasten levels without outside buffs). In Focused Accuracy's place I took Air Superiority just as a set mule. I wanted to try to get the Recharge/Slow resistance higher is why I took it (and why you just see Blistering Cold 2pc in three different spots, and the 20% Slow Resist in Fly). If Evasive Maneuvers gave it's defense bonus while in combat it would be a slam dunk, but it still seems really useful, especially as a set mule. Hopefully this gives you some ideas and it doesn't change your power choices. Except for Focused Accuracy. But it isn't good for what it cost. -
Energy Melee/Energy Aura build, looking for feedback
SomeGuy replied to Stormwalker's topic in Scrapper
*SomeGuy would like to know your location* @Stormwalker, don't get hung up on Carnie bosses eating your lunch. They tend to do that to most builds. You aren't going to always encounter them. Build for the game, not for a few mobs you encounter infrequently. That's what Inspirations are for (your words!). -
HC devs did it. It wasn't a thing on Beta. At least this iteration. The original devs DID add more of a flee mechanic, but that was a long long time ago (think when Going Rogue went live).

That's why I said "measurably". If you enjoy it then that's what really matters. You can nitpick the performance to every set.
-
I don't take them for buffing other teammates, I take them for buffing myself. It's just an added bonus it adds that to my team. An extra 10% damage adds up.

This is the scrapper equivalent for doing 2+2=4 and getting yelled at it inconveniencing a flat earther, or someone else that doesn't like facts. You're doing it right.
-
I noticed it too. You aren't alone.
-
I totally relate to this.
-
Cause Spines is measurably bad. It gets absolutely throttled when it needs to do ST damage. And it isn't the AOE powerhouse the sets wants to be. Measurably and if someone enjoys it? Not the same. Fun is what matters. But Katana is measurably REALLY good. Not only does it perform really well but the set has fast attacks and chonky attacks. And it lets you go all weeb with your look and rock cool swords. But I can't see Spines rockin' GMs solo for some badges. Katana on the other hand? Go kill whatever it wants.

Look at you and your sense making. I've got pretty high level exposure with other MMOs and the aggro mechanic in this game never made sense to me, and it was never really made transparent. Tankers just spam taunt and hope for the best. And...wtf, runners? OK...
-
I TOTALLY misread what Hyper said and was really confused. I was like "wait, he isn't a dumb...what is happening?"
-
I have experience with every scrapper primary and secondary. Condolences on spines being your badger. Broadsword needs to be procced out to work, but it CAN work very well. It's actually pretty good tbh, Looks awesome with a shield, too. Straight set through? It's OK. Not great, Savage Melee is pretty...sad on a scrapper. Staff is the coolest looking set there is to me. Sadly, it performs proportionately as bad. It's bottom bottom tier. Sits down there with Spines. Fiery Melee just isn't good. Procced or not. All the other sets you haven't touched yet perform pretty well.

Wait, I am totally missing something I feel like. Why wouldn't someone take Dull Pain if they aren't HP capped without it? Even if they are without it, why would you not want to take a heal? And Preventive Maintenance has really good Set Bonuses the whole way through.

Whoever told you Electric Armor is that low is wrong. It might be THE best tanker primary. If it isn't, it's up there. Crazy good damage resists and a really good debuff resist mix. And if I can cap all the resists on a Electric Armor Brute AND STILL do absurd damage, than it would be easier on a Tanker to build for not dying. Before shutdown, my buddy had a ElA/TW tanker that would AFK tank incarnate trials. He just couldn't die. Epitomized how easy the class is and how little someone has to know the game to be effective. Dear god, I shouldn't have ventured to far the rabbit hole reading some of these comments. Def (don't get hit...take zero damage) - Resist (get hit for less damage) - HP - HP/s. Value in that order. Resist based tankers do well with #2 due to how high their HP is. Combine that with the fact tankers can also still get a LOT of defense even if they aren't soft-capped? Yup. They don't die. Not sure why HP/s is so valued by some...you raise HP and HP/s automatically goes up, even if the % doesn't. You have to have an absurd amount of HP/s (think pre-nerf IH %) to start tipping those scales. A higher % of a higher # is...a higher #. HP > HP/s You have 110 HP and 10% HP/s. Get hit for 109. You still live and can pop your heal, inspirations, or run the heck away. Get good and can still get back in the mix. You have 100 HP and 10000000% HP/s. Get hit for 101. You dead. Dead tank/dps/heal is now doing zero tank/dps/heal.

Acrobatics flashbacks. *shudder*

Scrap sets without them are incredibly frustrating to some people. For example. Stone Armor is a great armor set for scraps but it does NOT have a taunt aura. Cue the runners. And the set has a PBAoE damage aura. The armor contributes SO MUCH to damage (think Bio Armor amounts) but since it can cause so many runners it absolutely nullifies any damage boost it gives. Obviously, on a team with a taunt aura haver this doesn't matter.

Psi Melee gets to fist people. That's pretty cool.
