  1. OHHHHH Yeah, you definitely take CS. It doesn't increase crit chance and doesn't "crit" (like Energy Transfer). What it does have is a chance to instantly refresh power siphon. I slap the ATO2 in it and call it a day. The ATO there goes off fairly regular. And you can get a lot of crits in right after.
  2. Not sure what you meant by this, but ATO2 is absolutely triggered if you put it in CS. Were you saying it isn't affected by the increased crit chance?
  3. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=scrapper_defense.radiation_armor.meltdown&at=scrapper https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=stalker_defense.radiation_armor.meltdown&at=stalker Basically, the scrapper version gives a tap over 41% DMG (stalker version does 33%) while active (60s), gives 15% resistance to all (enhanceable if you want), and the "crash" is easily worked around. The crash lasts 10s and doesn't let you recover end during that time. But you can pop all the blues you want. Oh, and during meltdown, your recovery is boosted 30%. And on a decent build with recharge, it isn't crazy to have it up fairly often. One minute active and a little over a minute down. So basically, you do more damage and your harder to kill. And the "crash" is easily worked around. It doesn't boost chance to crit though. It's a MUST-HAVE power for me when I do Rad Armor. Lots of T9s are skippable, but Meltdown sure isn't to me.
  4. I haven't tried it on Stalks or Tankers. I can't have an opinion on that one. In terms or ST? I would have to only guess the Stalker version pulls ahead? Maybe even AOE due to crit from hide with Burst? Something to keep in mind though, Stalkers have a REALLY low HP cap and base. You will feel the difference in survivability even compared to a scrapper. Tankers are just nuts at laughing off incoming damage. You do have to make KM work though, you really need to maximize those Power Siphon stacks.
  5. Many are wrong. I've done km/fa, km/sd, and currently have a km/bio. The set can be tricky to learn how to get the most out of it, that's a truth, but it definitely can do good damage. /rad armor pairs well with most anything, and it has the best T9 in the game. And don't dismiss EA. That set is straight up GOOD. It's easily top tier. I honestly feel that EA is sturdier than SD (*feel* is the key word). You're Ice Armor idea(I have zero experience with it) sounds like a good one, really. Slap -rchg and -dmg on a thing. KM is a cool set if you like the animations and sound. The final AV in Aeon is KM for a reason.
  6. Scrapper DM/BIO 4:49 5:04
  7. This is my current one, hopefully you get some ideas:
  8. I know the answer to that question in your first paragraph. As to your question in your P.S.? It's a game about being a Super Hero/Villain. I never understood some things trying to bring this to the City of Everquest playstyle. I'm not disagreeing by any means, I just find it funny. I think I'm just typing as I think. I smell toast...
  9. lol no, definitely not trying to hijack anything. I only shared it to give ideas. There is no "best" build. Everyone values things differently and builds towards those values.
  10. I agree with everything you wrote up. I've said everything there, just never once as succinctly. The set ABSOLUTELY needed to be toned down in damage, but the mechanics were changed? Da f...., why? The set still does good damage, but that requires a LOT of skill to pull off. Just like sub 1 minute times with it did before (and these were an exception and NOT the norm). The way the set is now, it's not worth getting THAT good with the set just to have middling performance whereas other sets aren't a fraction as complex yet do much better numbers. So before the nerf I found myself not wanting to play the set because it created the feeling of WHY BOTHER WITH ANYTHING ELSE. Now? It's because it's just not worth the investment. You still have to invest SO MUCH IO wise to get OK performance and THEN you have to be REALLY good at playing the game and getting the most out of the set. Where you could just do a different set and get better performance for a fraction of the skill demand involved. The set definitely needed it's damage toned down. No argument about the radius change for Whirlwind. But the rest of the mechanics changes? Jeez. The attack rotation was massively simplified but also put right in that bubble of not being good. I've played the set since it was released before shutdown. Little things make a HUGE difference. There are a lot of little things that make this set a ghost of what it was.
  11. Katana is a boss set. As for ice? I have no input.
  12. Excel. And sure thing!
  13. It is. It exemps perfectly fine. Everything is catalyzed except for the purps and winter stuff. What can be +5ed, is. I don't build something and use it if I can't use it for everything. Exemping, farming, av hunting, whatever. I do know before this guy had anything past T1 muscle and T4 Ageless it was dropping +4 AVs, solo. Ghost Widow being one of them.
  14. Here's my current EM/SD/ZappBL build: Muscle and Ageless. I've gotten turned on to getting a lot of Slow resistance also, and this build has 80% (100 with the cim day job of another +20). You'll most likely get to incarnate cap when doing incarnate content with all the team buffs flying around. Hopefully this gives you some ideas.
  15. I rarely post my builds and rarely give unsolicited advice/opinions. You're saying the exact thing towards me that you're doing yourself. This is a great example of my real life. I go to a new gym, some people there don't know who I am and what I've done/accomplished. That's fine. My actions do the work of that for me. Just like at a chain gym, this game is no different. I see a LOT of amazingly stupid stuff, That's fine, I get it. People don't know and they learn as much as they need to get their happy. I don't see a lot of disrespect in either situation. Keep it that way. People enjoy crossfit, despite the fact it's incredibly in optimal for results. It's their happy and they're doing it. I see builds that I swear were put together by someone with a room temperature IQ, but they're having fun with it. All that matters. That's why I love this game. You can be a brawl 6 slotter or min/maxer and still get the job done.
  16. Yup, they sure are. And I started attacking them with that same mindset. I wanted to see for myself and guess what? They DO translate to overall performance in the rest of the game. The "OmG PyLoN tImEs" is a silly argument, but hey, people want affirmation without effort. I've been doing this back and forth since well before the game shut down originally, it's nothing new. I'm honestly surprised I'm taking this much time to even respond to this,
  17. Literally what I did.
  18. Claws is like politics. Feels and facts are separate things. How ya feel matters, but the facts are facts. And my findings aren't exclusive. Mace feels a lot chonkier than Claws, but Claws definitely wins the DPS game. And those times are averages. They aren't "best".
  19. Burst? Mace. DPS? Claws. AOE? Claws. Claws dog walks most other sets in the DPS department. *this isn't opinion. This is proven fact.

    Claws/Stone

Slash, spin, followup, and focus are all you need out of Claws. The rest is for flavor. Shockwave IS a good power, and I've come to the belief that it is necessary on a proc build (replace Strike in the rotation). Eviscerate is a cool looking power if you like flips and stuff. But other than that, it does pretty bad DPA and destroys your flow. Eviscerate is 100% skippable. Shockwave is skippable too, but if it fits your playstyle GET IT. It's good. Not necessary, just good. Claws does the some of the best AOE, if not the best, out of all the melee primaries and a big reason for that is Spin. Rad Melee may/may not do better AOE but it definitely doesn't touch it on single target DPS. These are my top 5 ST DPS characters (no, I do not have hybrid on for these). That Claws uses Shockwave in it's ST chain. And a proc Claws build does really well. As you can see, the times are all really close to each other, so RNG can move one ahead or behind. I'd imagine Claws/EA would do really well too, since my DB/EA is around 1:32 for a pylon time, and it was WAYYYY less squish.
  21. Oh yeah. Check that BS/SD build up above. It's softcap. @Pzn may have got me on to D-Sync DMG/ENDs...
  22. I've just always thought Broadsword looked cool. Same with Katana and Dual Blades. My DB/BIO and Kat/Bio (proc builds) both do times in the 1:10s. The DB/ENA does around 1:30 something and the Kat/Inv does like...low 1:50s I think? Sword and Board (BS/SD) does look pretty rad to me and I was pretty please with the performance of the combination when procced out. But man, I totally did a BS/SD straight through a while back and was getting times around 3:30. BS/SD procced out is pretty legit acting and looks cool.
  23. Tried a BS/Bio/Snipe proc. Scrapper BS/BIO 1:36 (Degen/Zapp/Proc) Really can't see myself personally favoring Bio over Shield in this instance. Shield is WAYYYYY less squish and still does really good damage even compared to Bio.
  24. Was Hybrid on or off? I've actually been curious how much more DPS the Brute version of my RAD/SS tanker would be without actually going to Brainstorm and seeing.
  25. Got bored and tried a BS/SD scrapper procced out. Did a lot better than I expected. From experience this is about a minute and some change faster than a normal build for BS/SD Scrapper BS/SD 1:56 (Degen/Zapp/Proc Build) *actually tweaked this a little bit. Got the time down to 1:56
