What @Pzn said. Clobber is just stupid DPA. Now personally, BS and Shield look AWESOME. Broadsword and Axe aren't great performers, but they look awesome (to me) paired with shield. I do know you can make BS a good performer, but WM is already there out of the box. If almost always solo, maybe you'd like BS more? Not sure. It is the one out of those three that has an attack that will boost melee/smash defense temporarily. And you can slot a LOTG recharge in it to boot. But yea, as for aesthetics, that all comes down to personal taste. I did wm/sd over wm/bio because of aesthetics alone. I have both, and the bio dog walks over shield in terms of damage, but the SD is wayyyyyy less squishy. I've seen some really cool looking BS/SD costumes. Headsplitter feels chocky as all get out. War Mace and BS both feel that way. A big pro, to me, is the amount of -RES you can get out of BS over WM. Taking advantage of -RES is a huge boost in solo performance, but a lot of people don't think about the fact it drastically increases a full team's DPS. The target that has the -RES applied to takes additional damage from EVERYTHING. Not just you. Food for thought. But overall, if you value damage over those other things, it's clearly WM. I wish you could do Kat/Shield. Got bored. Did a BS/SD/Zapp proc build. Just HS-Dis-Hack for the chain. Zapp weaved in when up after Hack. Not sure if the placement for ATO2 is ideal, but whatever.

Build Up on my tw/bio recharges in about 10s. I also have it setup to guarantee the -res proc for Achilles and fury every time. I also figured out how to make them stack as opposed to refresh. I do 40s times without pets. Also, this is complete BS.

Dude. I finally got to try this. Doing FU FOC SNIPE SLASH FU FOC SLASH SHOCK. I'm averaging about the same, but I've had some bests between 1:00 and 1:05. RNG is pretty lol sometimes. Claws is lol. I really like the fact that Shockwave is back in the build.
-
lol first time doing this with a RAD/SS Tanker and did 4:31 bUt YoU oNlY kIlL pYlOnS
-
I'm sleep walking doing +4x8 arachnos papers with this thing. This is wild. Carnies were a joke. End is just not an issue with this.
-
Went outside my wheelhouse. Tried a tanker. @StriderIV looking at you. Average. Not a best. Hybrid off. Tanker RAD/SS 2:58 (Degen/Gloom/Cardiac) *Tweaked the build a tap and got more consistent times.
-
Mandatory things to take in DB: Blinding Feint, Sweeping Strike, and Typhoon's Edge. Nimble Slash is necessary if going for the Empower Combo (and I'd honestly do this if not enough recharge for the BF-AS-SS-AS chain or doing a proc build if you want really good DPS performance). Vengeful Strike is cool as hell for the animation alone but pretty wanting in terms of actual performance. 1K Cuts is in the same boat as Vengeful Strike.

For regen? Re-roll anything else.

I honestly haven't figured out a good proc build for EM. Seems some sets do amazing with them. Claws, Dual Blades, Martial Arts, Katana, and Radiation Melee stand out to me on that one (for scrapper melee sets, anyways). I've seen Broad Sword do well with procced out. Out of the other ones I've tried, they don't seem to get as much mileage as those.
-
Umm, EM/RAD is pretty good. Average. Hybrid off. Scrapper EM/RAD 1:18 TF-RT-BU-ET-Snipe-TF-ET-BS-Snipe Always doing Total Focus - Radiation Therapy - Build Up - Energy Transfer -Snipe - Total Focus - Energy Transfer when Build Up is ready. I got a :55s run but threw it out. Rad Therapy and Meltdown make a nasty combo for Rad Armor.
-
I average 1:16 with this build: It's gotten way lower for a best run. Under a minute with Assault activated a few times. Obviously everyone builds different, but maybe it gives some ideas. I open: TF-BU-ET-Snipe-BS And that's my chain the entire time, except if Fast ET activates or BU is ready (which is only cast after TF and before ET).
-
I came *really* close to doing EM/ENA over EM/SD but the manhole cover as a shield won out. ENA is a ridiculously good armor set too.
-
I was under the impression that if it "crit" it would get fast-cast and you could skip TF? Cause I'm not seeing it get an increase in that chance being increased with the proc in TF. I'm just wondering if the chance for that is the same % as a normal crit chance. @Bopper and yeah, that's why I put the proc in ET. Get more bang for the buck.
-
This is just my opinion, but if ET got the chance increase from that proc it might make EM have the old TW problem. I loved old TW due to it's mechanics, but omg the damage just made it not-fun, cause it created the "whats the point?" feeling of playing other sets.
-
❤️ I've got a EM/BIO and EM/SD. I definitely do better damage with the EM/BIO but omg it is so squishy compared to the EM/SD, and the EM/SD still does really really good damage. And shields look awesome. That's actually how I have the slotting on one of the builds (5% AOE defense and 10% recharge? ok!). But unslotters are cheap so swapping the sets between the two is pretty easy. I'm starting to wonder if ET doesn't "crit" as opposed to having the same chance as a crit to activate it's fast cast again or something. If so, this would mean the 3% from ATO1 is moot also. If the proc does increase the chance of ET it makes perfect sense for the proc to be in TF (I ain't seeing it though). But if it doesn't, then yeah. Slap it in ET. ET (proc activates) Snipe BS. I've been going through my logs and I can't find ET "critting". Everything else? Yeah.
-
I've had the proc in TF with worse times and ANECDOTALLY the same amount of crits as when the proc is in ET. Obviously hard numbers back up my biased obersvation better. I get better times with the proc in ET. I could due a log parse, and see hard numbers, but I DEFINITELY am not noticing an improvement with the proc in TF. Speaking of, is there an easy way to do that without having to manually dig through my combat log?
-
I got bored. Some sets I just couldn't figure out how to make a proc build work (looking at you EM...and calling BS that the ATO2 proc works going TF-ET). Katana seems to take to proccing out REALLY well. All times are averages. Hybrid is NOT turned on. These are NOT best runs. Archetype AT Combo Time (Interface/Type of Snipe/Build Type) Scrapper DB/BIO 1:12 (Degen/Zapp/Proc) Scrapper CLAWS/BIO 1:14 (Degen/Moonbeam/Proc) Scrapper MA/BIO 1:14 (Degen/Zapp/Proc) Scrapper Kat/BIO 1:15 (Degen/Zapp/Proc) Scrapper RM/BIO 1:27 (Reactive/Zapp/proc build) Scrapper SM/RAD 1:30 (Degen/Moonbeam/Proc) *MRB won't let me slot a lvl 50 to-hit debuff in Beta Decay then +5 it. I can in game.* Scrapper DB/ENA 1:32 (Degen/Zapp/Proc) Scrapper MA/NIN 1:48 (Degen/Zapp/Proc) Scrapper Kat/INV 1:53 (Degen/Zapp)
-
I enjoy my EM/SD scrapper way more than the EM/BIO I have. And it's wayyyyy less squish. Damage difference isn't really noticeable, but pylon kills are a solid 40s of difference. SD is just really beastly.
-
Ti Kwan Leep (if you don't immediately get this, google it) MA/NIN/Zapp Scrapper 1:48 Average so far. EC-SK-CAK-Snipe-EC-SC-CAK-SC-EC-SC-CAK-SC ATO2 in EC. No clue if this is the best chain or use of ATO2. I'll do a few runs with ATO2 in CAK or something. My thought process is that if the ATO2 proc goes off in EC I get an extra 86% (50+33+3) chance to crit with my next SK and CAK and the duration of the ATO2 (50%) carries to the Snipe. This time will definitely go down with some practice. MA is the last melee set I haven't played, so I've played them all now. I couldn't decide between KICKIN' RAD (MA/RAD) and this.
-
That's how I feel about a lot of things. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And it was definitely me, the player, that just got better with the set. I'm just saying it's possible if you really want to. And it isn't like going under 2m is the norm. That's an outlier. I was getting around 3m when I first started playing the set and that's not bad.

Every time I see this build mentioned I hear Johny Cash AND A BURNING RING OF FIRE. In my head? Dunno. @InvaderStych I'm gonna piggy back off what @Pzn mentioned. Well, agree mostly. I've got a Kat/Inv that averages 2:16, and RAD is definitely better at squeaking out damage if that's what you want. This character does it with a different build (zapp/ball lightning, no melt armor). So, it can definitely be done. I've honestly thought of swapping to RoF/Fireball/MA on that dude since I'm not exactly playing Kat for AOE anyways. Tried RoF. Couldn't get in to it. Went back to Zapp/BL. Got bored. Looked at the build. Now it's averaging 1:53. Did a run with Assault Core (+DMG) turned on and did 1:33

I've done /rad on brutes before and was doing +4/x8 arachnos and not even built for it. It was by the skin of my HP bar a lot of the time, but it was do-able. Since it has a taunt aura for scraps it is one of the few sets on scrappers I'd use (this is a HUGE deal for me). If Electric Armor for scraps had a taunt I'd be doing that and Rad Armor for fav resist based scrapper sets. But /rad does play different enough and is sturdy enough that I definitely enjoy it on scrappers. Scrappers get more out of Meltdown than Brutes for sure (the +DMG when it's active). Brutes are just able to take better advantage of resist caps and Rad let's that happen wonderfully. Rad is a good armor on scraps.
-
My ENA characters can for sure. So do most of my x/sd ones. x/rad does pretty well too. x/bio? Definitely not. Some mobs for bio armor? Yeah, sure. I don 't build ANY of my characters for this. If it happens, it happens. I build for killing things cause the best status effect is dead (or confused). CoT at 54 are pretty gross. That -TOHIT is painful.

I'm not sure, I've only messed with the Superior version. I was just thinking EC due to the extra crit chance that EC gives not effecting other powers. Not like unslotters are expensive. I'll try both. My first idea was exactly that. EC chance and CAK chance. But they stack. Now I'm all like HMMM WHAT DO NOW oh wait i'll just test it out and see Having an extra 91% chance to crit when ATO2 goes off sounds neat.
