  1. This build might look really familiar to some of you (it's as old as shutdown on live). Regardless, I haven't played a more damaging and tanky character then this one. That includes all the current iterations of THINGS going on now.   2. Ice Melee/Bio Armor/Moonbeam Scrapper Average of 1:35 across a lot of runs. Same as my TW/BIO/MA's average now. Crazy streaky for some reason. I've almost come to expect Freezing Touch to miss. I just got a 1:07 and a 1:54. WTF.
  3. Market PVPers love you. They sell at a profit, buy it back at an insane discount, then they'll do it again.
  4. Seriously. I don't care if you're active or not. Sticking with the group or playing City of Solo 80s Action Hero. Real life happens and you have to AFK. Or not. Maybe you're just alt-tabbed on PHub. This isn't some sperg lord MMO where EVERYONE has to be present. Just have fun. Play a min-max character or 6 slot brawl. Whatever. Just have fun.
  5. I really am biased towards claws, so I'd say it would pair with them well. Anything well, really. As for pairing with ENA? That depends on if you think you will IO the set and soft cap all the damage types. If not, any primary you enjoy that has an attack that does +def to melee/smashing (kat/broadsword/tw). Dark Melee pairs with, well, anything really. But it also applies -TOHIT which adds to your defense 1:1. Dark Melee also has an attack (siphon life) which heals you for a little. Dark Melee is definitely not the king of single target DPS, and has reputably bad AOE, but it has a pretty different play style compared to the other damage primaries. It has soe soft CC is the set and an end fill power too. It's pretty neat leveraging it's tools. I can't think of any bad primaries. Even sets that are VERY AOE heavy like Electrical Melee and Spines are good. Really good, amazing at what they do really. Just a matter of what you value. Honestly, whatever set you enjoy the most pairs with well. Just don't do regen.
  6. x/bio is a glass cannon. If played right, you will seem unkillable, but that's cause everything is dead before it can kill you. If a target stays alive just a smidge to long, you're eating an awaken. x/ena is a freaking GREAT armor set though. Definitely way more survivable than x/bio. You absolutely can't go wrong with either armor. They are both fantastic. It just comes down to what you value more. ENA and BIO for scraps both have a taunt aura. Actually, there isn't a single scrapper armor that is bad. Well, except regen. It's cold and wet grabage. It's the armor equivalent of playing in old dirty dish water. Don't roll melee regen on anything. OMG, just don't.
  7. The optimal solo scrapper is any of them. So really? It's the one you enjoy the most. Mechanically? I'm biased towards Claws. Amazing single target DPS (in the top 4 for scrapper melee...EM, DB, WM, then Claws that order for me...all close), probably the best AOE of the scrapper primaries, two ranged attacks, a ranged ST soft CC, and a ranged cone soft CC. It also exemps REALLY well. You get all the ST attacks you need by 18, you get Spin (one of the best melee AOE attacks in the game at level 6(?). If you've only done Synapse TF as Claws you might wonder why the TF gets so much hate. Just don't pair it with regen. Don't pair anything with regen for that matter. Anything else is fine.
  8. The ones in my posts. EM, DB, WM, CLAWS, and TW all do better ST DPS than DM. By a noticeable amount. Those are just the sets I've tried. I wouldn't be shocked if Ice Melee and Kinetic Melee are pretty way up there. I know IM/KM are better ST DPS than FM (tested them all as x/SD). Hell, I'd be pretty surpsied if Electrical Melee on a stalker, paired with bio, isn't trouncing DM with ST. I was really surprised at how much ST DPS a ELM stalker does. Paired it with x/nin and got 2:34. I just enjoy scrappers. There are definitely other ATs cranking out better ST DPS (looking at some blasters and stalkers).
  9. Wow. I really do not like TW's new chain. Face smash > skill, I guess. TW/BIO/MA 1:35 BU [mom] RA AoD FT RA AoD FT RA [/mom] CB [mom] AoD FT RA AoD [/mom] CB [mom] RA AoD FT *HIT BU ANYWAYS* is the chain I used.
  10. Better than on a scrapper but not as well as a tanker. Seriously. Base resistance/defense are the same between a Brute/Scrap (but Brute can hit 90% resistance whereas a scrapper can only hit 75%), but the HP pools really make the difference with WP between the two sets. Brute has a higher base AND max than a scrapper. And with a hp/s set this is HUGE. I haven't messed with tankers since the changes, but their base resistance/defense is higher than both classes. So is their HP. And their HP has a higher max than both.
  11. I updated some of my times and got around to recording some I hadn't yet. Still not motivated to re-learn TW again, but farting around with it I was still getting in the mid 1 minute range. Pylon Times and Personal Rankings (All my own builds/characters. No lore/hybrid/temps used. These are the average of 10+ runs.) Scrapper EM/BIO/MB 1:23 (post nerf) Scrapper DB/BIO/MB 1:25 (post nerf) 1:21 (pre-nerf) Scrapper WM/BIO/MB 1:31 (post nerf) Scrapper CLAWS/BIO/MB 1:32 (post nerf) 1:26 (pre-nerf) Scrapper TW/BIO/MA 1:35 (post nerf) 0:52 (pre-nerf) Scrapper DM/BIO/MB 1:59 (post nerf) 1:54 (pre-nerf) DM/BIO/MB is frustrating to get times for. Destiny and Hasten both want to refresh around the time the pylon is about to drop. If I was Soul Drain scumming I KNOW that time would be a LOT lower. Napkin math says around 1:35. Kind of tempted to do a few runs and see. I did do a KAT/ELA/MA a few years ago. I am really positive as KAT/BIO/MB it would get some smoking speed. Scrapper Kat/Ele/MA 2:27 (SD-GD-SotW) I've gotten a lot better at maximizing DPS rotations between now and the prior times. If I was as efficient then, as I am now, the difference in times would be larger.
  12. This build easily does both the MB chain and the standard "best" DB chain. It also doesn't take three attacks (cause you don't use them with this build). And Power Slice is a set mule, but also good if you ever need to exemp that low.   13. Soul Drain is actually pretty decent AOE too. Get in the mob, let a tick of AoO go off, pop soul drain then Shield Charge. I've got a DM/BIO/FB scrapper I LOVE and it doesn't do bad AOE. I imagine a DM/SD/FB scrapper would do really well too.
  14. My DM/BIO/MB is somewhere around 1:50. That isn't Soul Drain scumming with a bunch of monkeys or something at the start. Only DMG+ boost for soul drain is the pylon. So, it can be a LOT faster if you soul drain stack. Even then, it's not going to be as fast as the other top-tier DPS, but the set is fun. Lots.
  15. For real. This answer varies person to person. But I'd personally have to say Claws. It has a wild amount of CC and DPS. I used to main a claws/regen and I absolutely know other primaries would have faceplanted a LOT more.

  17. x/bio scrapper. You're either killing everything (including the AVs/monsters) or you're in the hospital. If this isn't the case for a x/bio scrapper/stalker then they aren't pushing it. I can't attest to the ranged recommendations. But I can for sure attest for x/bio. It's the melee definition of glass cannon. As squishy as regen with more damage.
  18. I've got a lot of times with different AT combos/builds I can send your way. I just know I don't have a new time for post-TW nerf (it's still around 1:30 something) or post-snipe nerf. Those builds had about 10-20s added to their times. Nothing huge. EM/BIO is DEFINITELY the fastest melee pylon killer I have right now though.
  19. I just looked, and it seems rage is the same DMG and TOHIT boost for 60s that build up is for it's duration. So, bumping up base damage for the attacks in SS would still be on the board. And lowering Rage's buff would get rid of a lot of the issue with it massively boosting other pool attacks (looking at SS/FIRE/GL brutes). SS/FIRE/GL brutes used to be THE most damaging recorded melee in the game. I did that myself. I can attest to it. The chain was/is just KO-GL-BURN repeat and roll back the opposite direction. You'd one attack from SS. Numerically, it's a pretty simple fix.

  23. What we're you getting without Assault running? I've always been curious how claws stalker and scrapper compare to each other due to the lack of FU for stalkers.
  24. x/bio scrappers are a glass cannon. They are absolutely remarkable, then in the cast time for abalative carapace, you are dead. This is playing /bio on the bleeding edge though. With other secondaries you get a couple more seconds of wiggle room, but you have to play /bio like /regen and plan to stop your faceplant before you jump in. One way of doing this though? /bio lets you kill the thing before it kills you better than any other secondary. You aren't doing reactionary saves with /bio. You just die. Claws/Bio is an underrated gem. One of my fav AT combinations. Craps out ridiculously good ST DPS (we're talking top 5, easy) and is most likely (not sure how to measure?) the best at AOE. And it exemps RIDICULOUSLY well. It get's follow up, slash, spin, and focus all before 20. And those are really all you need from the primary.
  25. Umm, look at cold domination. -RES, -REG, and defense shields in one set.
