So what you're saying is you had intended to use both procs in Zapp as opposed to just the one from the Sting of the Manticore or the pvp set? I changed the wording around in that perticular section a couple of times before I posted it to try and make sure it got my point across, I'm still not sure if it did in all my rambling lol If the IO procs animate, then I'd prefer to stick with theme. If the IO procs don't animate, theme doesnt matter cause you can't see it anyways. I may have to test this out so I know which way once and for all.

Speaking on the sample build, I was confused as to why you used the PVP +toxic damage proc as opposed to the +toxic proc from the set that you have in Zapp. If there was a dmage proc to put in a power from my first build I chose not to put it there cause it didn't fit thematically with electricity. I put that fire dmg into Thunderous Blast cause it makes sense that elec can cause a fire, and those two energy dmg procs. I wasn't actually sure if using an energy proc in a power that already did energy damage would make any difference but at least the dmg type fit with the theme. What I do wonder though is whether the different damage procs actually animate the proc damage or just add the numbers into the damage log. I know I've seen damage procs animate from the incarnate powers but I haven't personally noticed it from procs, but in the heat of battle with all the other powers going off from the team sometimes it might be hard to see on a single target. If they actually don't animate then I had the wrong idea and the theme doesnt make any difference if you can't see it anyways. I feel like there was a power or two that I used a different set just because I wanted to avoid the damage proc for theme.

I appreciate finding out that Dynamo is a sustain power, if I'd have ever just read the description I would've known that a while ago lol This one was already 50 and also I don't think I was playing when that update came out. Is there a better way to slot for ST damage without using ATOs or purples?
-
I didn't dig too far into the blaster secondary changes, so I didn't realize Dynamo was a sustain power. I saw it and thought of Lightning Field so I skipped it. Granted, I don't really have end issues while I've played the character with primarily standard IOs, miracle proc, and a performance shifter proc and the use of Power Sink. Even with the realization of that sustain it doesn't seem like its needed especially with higher recharge making the power available more often. Plus, I'm sure that Performance Shifter proc in Sentinel will help a decent amount. How do I get the ST damage up then? My thought process was lets build for recharge so I can use the powers more often. To be honest, I'd rather not even have the powers that aren't ranged so toying with some other powers is a decent idea. I don't know why I didn't take Shocking Bolt or Shocking Blast but now that I am thinking about them I'm not sure where to take the slots from to use them well. I had a pretty good idea that Decimaton proc probably wouldnt fire all that often but when it did it would be nice, but I definitely wanted the set bonus. None of the other available IOs seemed to get to the goal I wanted. For some odd reason it let me slot two of them when I first built it but since the MIDs update it only lets me slot one. Since it's considered a unique I'll have to fix that. I don't use purples or HOs and only rarely use PVP or ATOs. I know the different methods on how to get them but I don't want to. I'm stubborn like that.

I was building mainly for recharge. Any ideas or suggestions aside from ATOs and purples? Kind of bugs me the F/C is super low but I really like where the recharge rate is. LKN-351 - Blaster (Electrical Blast - Electricity Manipulation).mbd

You get one, for free, every ten levels.... if you're close to 10/20/30/40/50 you'll get one for free. Although, you said powerset so a respec may not even help cause that will only change the powers you picked in each powerset but you can change the power pools. If you rolled a character and you aren't happy with the powerset you chose you may have to re-roll that character.

I'm on Torchbearer and I've seen this same issue a few times since friday. I keep one entry in my email, just to reply to and through the weekend I hadn't emailed more than two or three emails at a time and this error would pop up occasionally. I had one email disappear due to this pop up that took 20-30 minutes to re-appear. It only did so when I had swapped characters a couple times and then sent a different email on another character so the next the error message appeared I just swapped characters and sent a different email, then the first one that got the error appeared in my email box.

Using Hyperstrikes Inv framework and suggestions on the attack powers, this build is pretty good but has some slight endurance issues. Xj'iak - Brute Imported (Katana - Invulnerability).mbd

Excelsior: Outstanding Pending Global Email Transactions...
LKN-351 replied to Windchime's topic in Bug Reports
It happened to me about an hour ago on Torchbearer. I swapped toons and emailed another item then picked it up on a different toon and it worked just fine. Then I went back to the one that had the issue and attempted to email a different item and the first item that I hadn't seen in a while appeared in my email. There was about 20-30 minutes from start to end. -
Are you talking current or former, since some of the older ones have recently came back. Honestly, I can't say I've ever heard of farming GMs but maybe it's like fight club.... I've always heard War Witch was pretty cool, but I don't have my own experiences. The rest of them seem pretty rare and elusive especially now since they're volunteers. 😁

The Oppresive Gloom type power was useful on my WS at one point in time but I want to shore up the armor before I try a power that works like that one lol Harmonic Mind is a new discovery actually, and once I try out the current iteration of this build I may respec into using that. I still need to find a happy percentage for slow resistance.
-
Thats a pretty nice build. How's it run during prolonged fights, like AVs? Is that end discount proc reliable?
-
No worries man but that datachunk wont import either. Just upload the save file instead.
-
I need to try out Rune of Protection. I keep hearing people mention it but i've never even looked at it. I'll change that soon.

I WANT to use Death Shroud, but it's such a heavy drain of end on an armour set that's already end heavy... I was dissapointed to find that there wasn't really a set that got its end/s low. Scirrocos Dervish wasn't bad but I had it's set bonus with energy resist capped. End management on dark armour is tough lol but dark looks pretty good

Oh yeah, my take on defense.... I personally don't see the point of adding much def to a build without DDR, but everyone has been telling me to do the opossite for some reason that has been explained and makes some sense. Granted I still remember back in the day when WP with its layered def/resist/regen was better than wearing a wet paper bag like it is now, so I still have a tendency to layer things... is that a good idea? I'm still on the fence lol on that note, I'm undecided whether i should use Steadfast: KB twice or a Steadfast: KB and also a +def. I opted to not use the KB proc in SJ so the double Steadfast KB would be the 12 in KB protection..... granted MIDs tells me its 24 for some reason. Also, I never realized you could have two of those Steadfast KB protections lol

In Superior Conditioning and Physical Perfection I was going for the debuff resist from the set. I'm not sure how much of a percentage is enough on that so I added as many as I could. If that's overkill I'd love to know lol With Mass Levitate I kept a generic IO in it cause that end usage was still really high with a set in it and coupled with the higher recharge times that power would be in rotation pretty often.... not to mention that soft control is pretty nice lol I think I've got 5 or 6 respecs saved up on this guy so I'm gunna shoot for a combination of my last revision and the Dark Bugaloo lol EDIT: I wasn't aware fo that end discount/recov power from PSI mastery, maybe thats the move... I think I'll end up with a dead power slot though either way cause I'm about to steal all the slots from Death Shroud since I can't imagine what to put in its place....maybe concentrate.... I see the utility of a build up power but I've never really used them.

I read elsewhere that the +dmg from set bonuses isn't the way to go about adding damage and the BCUs primarily have ranged attacks so I tried to add ranged defenses and moved some slots around to get some different bonuses that would be helpful. I thought about dropping one of the powers from the epic pools but then I wasn't happy about where the recovery was. The only power I can live without really would be recall but but because Haste is required on any build I have the allowed amount of pool powers maxed out already so I can't add manuevers. My brain is melting. The Shaded One revised again - Brute (Psionic Melee - Dark Armor).mbd

I'm working on building this character, I just ran the missions for Multidimensional and Shrouded with this setup. The Shaded One - Brute (Psionic Melee - Dark Armor).mbd It's far from finished but I thought I'd test it out. I haven't picked up the IOs I wanted for CJ or CoD so its just slotted for plain Def. I thought I'd run through these missions to get some cash and drops to sell and pick up what I still lacked. I ran at +1/5 but I couldn't defeat Nightstar solo so I took it to 0/+5. Versus the Hydra he faired ok-ish, but versus the BCUs it was the edge of death with each mob. Definitely needs more recharge and I added the LotG into CoD after I got tired of the missions. I was ok fighting the groups if I popped a def or resist inspiration beforehand, but even then still had to use the heal more often fighting the BCUs. I went to mids to try and see if I could come up with something I was happy with and this is what I ended up with. The Shaded One revised - Brute (Psionic Melee - Dark Armor).mbd I used the alternate slotting to try out some options on a lot of the powers so you might look at that too when browsing the build. The recovery seems to work real well if it stays over 3.60/s with the discounts from Unbreakable. I don't want to use purple sets or any more PVP IOs than I already have. I'm going for better survivability, more damage, and haste a bit higher than 127%. I'm still trying to understand why to do 'this' rather than 'that' when building.

Interesting. I'm going to take alook at those popmenus and see if I can find those tips useful for other things. I've used popmenus but ive never created one, just copy what you posted and place it in a text file or does it ned to be converted into an .MNU somehow? If its got some steps I'll do a search later and check it out, but if its simple and you want to post it that'd be cool.
-
I kind of assumed you could use those with any power that gave you a reticule, but I hadn't put any of that into practice yet... aside from placing things at the current target. That'd be cool to find some other interesting uses of those midifiers though, like with CTP target: but X distance. You can sort of use CTP left/right and a short distance like 15 or so and circle a target, comes in handy with an AV when you're a little too close to a nearby mob. I love that up:max bit though, that seems extremely amusing lol
-
I dunno if though should be in a spoiler tag or not... but for safetys sake... lol Ooooooooh, that bit in the spoiler tag is a neat idea lol

MIDs version 3.7.4 had some issues, they seem to have fixed them in 3.7.9 You might check which version you're using.

Yeah, what she said. The levels of the IO are more important than the type, as long as its one of the types that are listed for the badge.
