I thought about doing a high vis colour actually but I'm working on other things and a lot of the time when changing colours they lose some definition. Unfortunately the second part of that wont work because there are only 5 textures for plaques with two variations in each texture. Two files for the City (weathered green), two files for Cemeteries (weathered gold), and one for Preatoria (bright gold)

Unfortunately not everyone uses periods or even punctuation lol but I suggest small words: the, in, to, use I got 24 results from 'the' as opposed to 3 results from 'costume' which I used first.

What Ukase said works, but add a couple of steps... Go to the post/section/group whatever but for this example the specific post "Post Your Best Costume Designs Here" then search for whatever term you're looking for then click on the '+more search options' and add the name and it'll come up with only posts by that user that contain the terms in that post. I searched for the term 'the' and then added Herotu and it came up with 24 results from just that thread. Like, if you search from General Discussion you'll get results from General Discussion. If you search in the Servers section you'll get results from there... If you search from the main page of the forums you'll get results from everywhere. Pretty much, go to the place you want to search for more specific results from that place.

Suppress On-Screen VFX from Labyrinth of Fog?
LKN-351 replied to kwsapphire's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
This could honestly be a client side mod. Perusing through texture files I've come across some of the 'image' files that make these screen effects... granted I don't remember exactly where I saw them and I'm absolutely sure that I didn't see all of them. Either way, if someone could get the info as to which files specifically are used even someone without artistic skills could replace those files with empty images which would therefore not appear on the edges of the screens. That seems like it would kill two birds with one stone, making the screen effects vanish while also keeping the portal effects intact for those cases outside of the Labrynth. -
Replacement for DeTexturizer?
LKN-351 replied to Lady Victory - The Watch's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
Yup, I was modifying and testing files out and it prompted for an update and added that folder once it was done. It converts DDS files to image files now as expected. Thanks @Michiyo -
Replacement for DeTexturizer?
LKN-351 replied to Lady Victory - The Watch's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
I was using gimp years ago when I was messing with the enhancement mods and recently when I tried to mod a power icon I couldn't get it to work ingame so I was stoked to see Michiyos tool had the compression built in. I still use Gimp, but since the update when I started using it again it seems like some screens have changed and I can't get the settings right. I was probably following the directions from a post that I've lost in the mean time. I may have figured out what I was doing wrong though, cause I managed to get a texture mod for a costume piece to show up in game... sadly the geo isn't very good so modding the texture was a waste of time. -
Replacement for DeTexturizer?
LKN-351 replied to Lady Victory - The Watch's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
I really can't tell if you're joking around with me or not lol I'll break it down, with images, just in case you're serious. So I click on converter, to convert to DDS Then I click on convert and the dialog box pops up telling me I need a DLL. Now if I try to convert from a DDS and click on Convert... nothing happens. I'm guessing it should convert a DDS to an image file since there are seperate tabs for converting texture files but that's not really clear. The details from the error dialog, in case Michiyo wants to read them. -
Replacement for DeTexturizer?
LKN-351 replied to Lady Victory - The Watch's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
A DLL? If you're using Michiyo's TextureTool then it should just work. Converting a texture file should give you a DDS and a matching JSON which you use together to convert back to a texture file. I guess I should have been more clear lol I'm using Michiyos texture tool and it wont convert DDS files. I thought it was implied since I quoted the post about that texture tool.... also I have absolutely no idea which pronoun to use talking about Michiyo 😆😆 -

Does this have anything to do with converting DDS files? Cause I can't get it to convert DDS files, it keeps telling me I need a .dll file. If you need to know more, I'll post more info. -
I was surprised and disappointed that the game wouldnt let you use Æ in the name field. I was also surprised that you can't use umlauts since the game had a german release.
-
The name entry and chat entry definitely have different letter usage rules. You can use Kanji in chat but not in character names, and I know I used at least one other written language that has odd characters and it was the same situation. I THINK I used Russian words in one of my character bios also.

I really don't think this would take much work... just some 'trickery' on the back end. So talking to someone about the Think Tank head and I got to thinking about how much cooler it'd be if the "head" that was inside of it animated. I was standing idle in-game and thinking about that and watching my character move his head around but imagining that it was the eyeball. I havent checked to see how far above the standard head the "heads" in think tank are positioned but in theory you could attach the TT head to the geo for the normal head while leaving the base of TT how it is. As it is in the game right now it looks like the standard head is still there since the Cyborg Aura and the Halo aura animate seperately from the TT so it must attach to a skeletal point, the head model's just not visible. Honestly, I'd try this out but I think it would require a few teaks to the costume creator to do it so I'm out of luck on my own testing. The idle animations and as far as im aware the fight stances would still keep the TT head inside the glass but it would move around. The only things I could think of causing some issues would be clipping with the skull and its options, and seperating the .geo for the for the wired brain. If it isn't too bad to seperate that into two .geos and then slightly extending the hoses it could just as well be animated with them. Hell this same thing may even work with the 'Floating Heads' option. I hope this make sense, it was part of an ongoing stream of thought... I just had to get it out there lol

Which file are NPC costumes stored?
LKN-351 replied to Mathew322's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
They probably are archived somewhere, but with all the COH info being in so many places it'd be a pain to find lol Mathew, your addition of a signature gives me an idea to add my mods to one as well lol thanks for that. -
Which file are NPC costumes stored?
LKN-351 replied to Mathew322's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
None of those have any seeds lol I've looked through that Ourodev page a few times and unfortunately I'm reluctant to download anthing cause I can't tell what's actually in the files, and knowing how magnet links work you have to download a little bit of the file to know what all is in it... but since there's no seeds I still can't tell whats in there. -

iirc, the dev in question said it was a massive pain in the butt and didn't want to ever go thru that again. (Obviously, if someone with more immediate knowledge weighs in, disregard) Are you two talking about the ammo power from DP and the stance power from Bio or is there something completely different I'm not thinking about? -

One of those links I posted previously did have at least one or two different programs that would extract .bins and possibly one that would translate it I think. -
Put Mids build into the game?
LKN-351 replied to TheMoncrief's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
When I respec I pretty much do what Frozen Burn does but when I add the slots I go in the order of the powers in MIDs. So instead of primary then secondary I go row by row in MIds. Unforetunately you can't add the MIDs build into the live game but you do have a couple of ways to import the build into the test server. One uses a .JSON file and the other uses a popmenu. TBH, I'm not sure if the .JSON file method works from MIDs anymore, it's been a few years since I've done that. Thepopmenu method works cause I used it a few months ago. -
Which file are NPC costumes stored?
LKN-351 replied to Mathew322's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
Well, I from the digging I did earlier, there is mention that bin files can be opened in notepad. I'm not sure how much truth there is to that or even how helpful it may be cause I have this feeling that it might be programming code of some sort that'll show up in there. What I'm saying is I don't think it'll be as cut and dry as a costume file is but I could be wrong. Good luck and let me know what you come up with cause I'm interested to know. -

Do you happen to be running any client side mods?? -
I dropped Max a few years back when Titans and Doom Patrol ended but I may have missed a new season of Doom Patrol... I'll have to look into that lol I guess we both learned something about Scavengers Reign. I hadn't started watching it cause I'm finishing up another series but it looks good.

Which file are NPC costumes stored?
LKN-351 replied to Mathew322's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
I googled it, sort of. I come across this: https://cohtitan.com/forum/index.php?topic=12440.0 <--- of note in the cohtitan posts is what Flouride and Codewalker talk about but there is useful info throughout and this: https://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php?topic=12222.0 <--- there is a pig viewer from this link but I think I may have tried to use that one at one point and didnt have much luck even after changing compatibility. The post has some info you may find usefull though. No offence to you, but I don't think the .bin files are what you're looking for really... but to be honest I can't figure out your end goal so maybe I'm off base. I thought you where just working on modding the textures for the different statues around COH but I have no idea why you'd need a .bin file to do that. -
This show came to Netflix recently and I was mildly interested. When I saw the title of this thread I didnt think it was the same thing. Apparently Max cancelled it and Netflix picked it up. Since the show's release, it has received critical acclaim, praising the acting, plot, animation and atmosphere so hopefully Netflix does something good with it.

I agree. Ourodev can be a great resource, but it is written by codemonkeys for codemonkeys lol I've figured a lot of things out but I'm not a codemonkey. If you want to post a link to the page on Ourodev, I can see what I can do. What are you looking for now?
