New Old player here from back in the day. 🙂 I recently wrote a post in the general topics section in which I introduced myself. At the same time I asked about three people I would like to meet in game (or here) to say hi and thanks. Here's the link... As you can see, I got some very good suggestions within it, and so I am posting here to ask about Shen-Dragon, Positive Gamer, and "Ghost Girl" here as was suggested to me. So, does anyone have any ideas about these three people, and/or can tell them I am looking for them? Thank you in advance, and keep on keeping on... 🙂

Avengers? Opps... name already taken lol. But seriously, Brutes are fine, as are Tanks, Sentinels, Defenders, Scrappers, and every other archetype in the game. It's all good. The players that play them though... that is another topic all together, and always a debate...

Thank you for that advice & info (btw... Great GM name :)). I will do that for Shen, but Ghost Girl and Positive Gamer are a bit more problomatic. One is because i am not sure if Ghost Girl was her characters name exactly, abd I don't know if PG plays on Homecoming anymore (does he?). But great advice just the same, thank you.

I am not exactly sure i fully agree with this sentiment. Brutes, while very much like Tanks, are also very nuch like Scrappers in design. And a poor player who doesn't know how to play a Brute (as in don't always go crazy and agro the whole room of Circle of Thorns... Its ok to just slow down and use tactics too) can be worse then just a poor player on a tank. After all... "Scrapperlock is a nearly-constant and utterly incurable condition. This condition ranges from the need to be smashing thugs nearly constantly to gunning for that ONE GUY that put him down regardless of the cost. As a result of this condition, it is necessary to allow the scrapper to cause havoc in his own fashion." And this can lead to some very bad moments for a team. Ala Leroy Jenkins remember (though i dont think he was a Tank or a Brute per say lol). But your right... Good players in CoH always outnumber the bad ines. 🙂

And for the record, Brutes arn't bad per say even though they are "technically" a villian archtype. Its only the people that play them that can be bad... Big differance... 🙂

Thank you for the sound advice and help. I will certainly do that once i get home from work. The reason i didn't in the first place is because 1) as a European server (i live in the good ol' usa), many posts are written in other languages i don't speak, and 2) the section doesn't serm as active as the general forms here. But great advice sir Iron. Thanks again for the reply (reply's are always good, even if they're mean sometimes, because at least they care enough to post back lol).

Good morning (if its morning where you are, otherwise Hi... :)) I had a question regarding a few folks/heroes (or villians) that I am currently looking for. One is Shen-Dragon. I have seen him on the Reunion server every now and then, and when I created my Peacebringer Starshine' and showed up at Atlas Park, he sent me a tell saying "good name", or something like that. I just wanted to know more about him, and say thanks for the nice complement (affirmations' are always good). The second person is a girl named something like "Ghost Girl", who also was on Reunion. I saw this person during a costume contest I happened to be passing by and stopped to watch. And after reading her characters Bio (which related to making her character in honor and rememberance of a friends child who died in stillbirth), I sent her a tell saying something like how much I liked it and that it was great to see people do something like that (like I said, great community in CoH). I was on my character White-Star, a pure glowing white Eb/Em blaster that was formed from a white dwarf star, and she tent me a tell saying thank you and that she liked my Bio as well (I try to write bio's for all characters I create and decide to keep. I am a bit of a writer after all lol). And as I stayed and watched the contest and we texted, as I mentioned who I thought should win the contest (and I did get that right at least lol), she was kind enough to give me a high lvl enhancement as a personal "honorable mention" gift even though I did not enter the contest myself. So I wanted to reconnect with this Ghost Girl, and say thanks again for the kindness she showed to a old new player who was/is just relearning the ropes. And last, but certainly NOT least, I would like to find Positive Gamer himself. For he was/is one of the biggest reasons why I am back in this great game I love so much. I discovered his video's and found him to be a cool, funny, person who loves CoH as much as I do, and I started my journey back into the game where otherwise I might not have even known was back. I have learned a lot from his video's, and I do realize that he sorta left Homecoming due to him not being able to film content here (no judgements on that issue btw as I am not generally a judgemental person. Opinionated yes, but very respectful lol), but I would like to find him and personally thank him for what he has done in game and out, and bringing me back here to the City of Heroes. Like I said, and will always say, for the most part the people who play this game are great, unique, and true examples of what a gaming community should be like (yes... even you wraskily villians you lol). You should ALL be proud at being the best in so many ways, and bringing this game to life beyond what some other gaming communities are like. It is a honor once more to be among you all again. So if anyone could be so kind as to help me find these great folks (or step up and say him here or in game if this be you), I woul;d be thankful. My in game handle is @BjorJlen... Thank you...

Uhhhh... No. It just means you put rings on her obviously. BUT, if you were really married and in love, you not only wouldn't be attacking her, you would be attacking the other heroes who are hurting her. So get in there man, and defend that awesome monsters honor. 😛

Honestly the answer should be obvious. He keeps them in the frames of his glasses! Hey, if Flash can keep his costume in a tiny ring, Superman can keep them in his glasses. He is Superman after all lol.

And hello Homecoming. Please excuse me, but I am slightly nervous in posting this greetings as such. I am a old time CoH player (I joined between issue 3 & 4 and left in 2008 just before issue 12 due to some medical issues) and while I have been playing on the Reunion server (as said name) for a while now. However as I am a bit disabled, and was using a old laptop that was as disabled as I was (lol), I didn't quite feel comfortable enough to really communicate with anyone in game, or even post here on the forums. So I hope you'll forgive me for not being "sociable" as so many of you great players are. However very recently I was able to upgrade to a actual newish PC (a Alienware system to be exact), and now that I have relearned some of the basics of playing this great game again, and having a PC that won't make me feel that I am slowing any of you down, I figured I would come onboard here on the forums and say hi. I still have a long way to go to relearning things (like IO's for example), but I hope to meet some of you in game and even team up with you now that I can keep up lol. I love the game and the great community of players that, well... play the game (heroes and villians alike), and am especially thankful that the people that run Homecoming have blessed all of us with the chance to enjoy City of Heroes that was taken away from us far too soon imho. I am a "older" serious player, who loves teamwork, having fun being a super hero (though those dang skulls keep popping up no matter what I do lol), who has altitis big time. The creativity of the game draws me to it like a moth to a flame... dang character creator. So far my highest character is T'rel (a recreation of my lvl 50 DM/INV scrapper back in the day), who is currently 20th lvl. However, I have a lot of other characters as well (this time being drawn more to Controllers then Scrappers), and I am always creating new ones as ideas pop into my head (I tend to create concept characters most times). Some of you (on Reunion) have even commented in game about them in game from time to time (via chat and such), but being unsure with a "disabled" laptop and all, I was for the most part nervous about saying anything (as much as I wanted to). So please do not think it was because I was being rude, because that wasn't my intent. People like Shen-Dragon, and "Ghost Girl" (sorry but I think that was her name) for example. You both rock, and Reunion is a far better place with you in it, then otherwise. So as I play the game when I can (I work a lot and tend to be more of a "casual" player then the hardcore one I was back during live), please feel free to come up and say hi, or send me a tell, because I plan on doing the same. I have a LOT of questions as the game has grown soooo much since when I left, so again please forgive if I ask a lot of them either here on the forums, or in game. Even if I ask the same ones more then once, because due to my condition, my memory isn't what it used to be lol. Also I was thinking of posting some (or a lot lol) of screen shots of my characters so I can not only show you who I played, but also to get any comments about them (or "hey I recognize you!) kind of stuff. The only question is, where do I post such images so that they don't get lost in the tons of great in game pictures that are on these forums? Also as I have a lot of questions, where should I post them, even if they are a bit redundant as I'm sure some of you have heard them before? I am not necessarily a Noob, but if one asks enough questions, even respectfully so, one can sometimes appear to be lol. Such is life though. I've done a ton of research and relearned a lot, but there are always more questions to ask and things to learn, am I right? In either case, I suppose I should end this post now as it does look a bit long winded (I promise you I am not on my storm character... yet lol). Thank you for reading this intro of mine, and I look forward to hearing anything any and all of you have to say, as well as meeting you officially in game, and in other areas on these great forums. Peace... P.S: Sorry but I forgot to mention this; I am looking for a official server to play on most times. Like I said, I've played on Reunion a LOT, and while a GREAT server, I am not committed to it per say (no offence). I don't do PvP (other then base raids back in live), and am too nervous to RP, so that leaves: Excelsior, Everlasting, Torchbearer, and of course Reunion. Which is the best (if any of them can be that is), friendliest server, and who would want a old new player from back in the day, who honestly can be "slow" at times (heck I am so slow, that I made a fun Mind/Rad Controller called "Slow Moe" lol)?
