  1. When storm kick for Matial Arts was flurry but for your feet.
  2. Now her parts are done as "normal" costume peices to a degree, BUT they are set for one bespoke character model so you couldnt use them even if they were set to available.
  3. Ah is that the catalyst, I have seen a few complaining of it, but now theres a proper factor to test
  4. Not a bug in anyway, shape or form, if you have an issue with them place your topic in suggestions.
  5. You know whats funny? I did a STF last night and I swear I noticed "those" on Shadow Spider on the future mission in Atlas Park.
  6. The peices are likely not available for player characters https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Carnival_of_Shadows Generally NPCs in a lot of games, especially older ones are constructed as one piece as opposed to a variety of items which are then used as pieces to make the whole, Im pretty confident this is the case with almost all the Carnies. We got some carnie stuff when first ward showed up as they did a minor "update" pass. To get the rest of the cool items from many of the NPC factions we have like Steel Strongman helms or Malta night vision goggles or Knives of Artemis crossbow gauntlets then someone would have to take the completed NPC and cut it into peices and then make sure said peices conform to the relevant item slot rules and dont cause problems like too much clipping. Its certainly possible, it just requires time and someone to do it.
  7. Yeah blaster, my bad
  8. Everything "new" was all set out in the code, waypoints if you will for future stuff, people just complain for the sake of it, you could give everyone a solid gold Ferrari and some would still complain you set the radio to the wrong channel.
  9. Yeah. I I won't be buying any lifetimes before games release anymore. I won't be buying any Lifetimes before games celebrate their 1st anniversary, anymore. I REALLY feel sorry for the people who bought lifetime subs to Hellgate: London. Sad thing is, that wasn't a bad game. It was just released too early and, when it finally started shaping up, the Korean bank that gave Flagship their loan to get it off the ground decided to collect their collateral: The game license. And they shut it down. Hellgate: London.... another Bill Roper affair.... the guy who was leading the day 1 patch of CO...
  10. Icy looks a little thin too, yeah. Comparing to /Energy, it looks like Energy gets Power Push and Snipe, and Icy gets Frost Breath and Chilling Embrace. The other 7 powers look pretty equivalent (3 blasts, 2 melee, PBAoE, and Power Boost.) It still looks on paper like Energy gets the short end of that trade. One issue the the +regen/recovery toggle on icy gets shut off (because it has a mob effect on it as well) when mezed and is on a 10s recharge while the other do not, thats not to say its effects on mobs are bad, they are great, just pointing out a disparity, maybe remove the CD on the toggle.
  11. trading influence at 10k a pop.......
  12. do they say superior? They shouldnt, can you post a screenie?
  13. Not from a merit vendor
  14. you have to be level 10? Do you already have a set of blasters wrath slotted?
  15. The Bias isnt really there, most people who tried CO wanted it to be better than COH, it just wasnt which is why there are 144 people playing right now and 5363 on Homecoming servers. Cryptic didnt want to capture what they had with COH, Jack hated it because it wasnt his vision, he didnt care that people loved it, he wanted his game and thats what Champions was, a cartoony mess of a parody with is multi roles in every character and whats funny is he was only able to force that through because of the success of COH in spite of him, because he was attached to a popular superhero game he could utilize that "badge" to make Champions. Note I still have a lifetime sub, I havent logged into it in years and years with the exception of installing it a couple of time and seeing the animation for firing dual pistols was STILL breaking most of the time.
  16. Every so often you get a "bank" of extra hit points which will get eaten first.
  17. Early on you would be kicked if you leveled up past the level range too...
  18. She is always on the roof, look harder
  19. As of within the last hour, Champions Online, a fully functional cash shop has 127-ish players on it. City Of Heroes: Homecoming, a fan hosted server of a game which died 7 years ago has 4700-ish players on it. I presume the other City Of Heroes fan servers have population on them too. Pretty much sums it up.......
  20. Pretty sure its in progress but its a time intensive process.
  21. Toggles were by and large mutually exclusive, you had to chose what shield you were going to use based on the enemy and whether you were going to have mez protection on or a defense. Unyielding was called Unyielding stance and rooted you to the ground and "teletanking" was considered an exploit. Original "poo man" granite armour. The Steel Canyon Street Sweeper /devices teams. Some mobs lacking ranged attacks so you could just hover and caltrop them to death. Large accuracy debuffs to stop people doing drive bys before travel suppression. Radfenders wrecking hamis & mitos with 6 slotted centriol snipe which enabled them to lol outside hamis attack range. Having to get off at every stop on the line and back on to get where you were going. When mutiple stations in a zone was for separate lines. Crossing Perez Park with Hover.
  22. This is a terrible suggestion. If you don't want it to be easy, then set up some sort of artificial restrictions on yourself instead of asking for it to be forced on everyone else. He doesnt want it easy, he wants to Dr Doom the market Not sure what you mean by Dr. Doom the market. I never said that I want 1bil infamy enhancements or for the market to get where people can corner it, but a popular rare enhancement should be at least profitable to make from a recipe. That sounds reasonable. Lets see, if you have recipe drop, and the materials already then all it costs you the crafting fee and therefore you are likely make a profit. If you dont have the right rare materials on you but you have other rare materials you can sell those and buy what you need and it basically will just cost you the crafting fee and therefore you are likely to make a profit. If you dont have a rare salvage to use/trade go play game for an hour or two and you will get one, or trade 5 merits for one or trade some AE tickets for one.

  24. Ditch the snark. I hate to be a frowny cloud in this sunny day, but someone has to stop and say "Is it actually a good idea to dump unfinished stuff into the game?" CoX was a well-balanced game. I don't want to see that balance messed up by a green crew that, frankly, I don't trust yet. And I wasn't exactly paying attention in the twilight hours of CoX, so I don't know what was or was not in development before the end, and seeing so many Blaster buffs at once was as alarming as it was worrying. It didn't come across as "Paragon was going to do this," it came off as "Someone in the Homecoming crew is a Blaster main." If I was mistaken, fine. I still don't like the dump-it-all-on-live-as-is approach, and I still think some of the new Blaster stuff is overpowered, but fine. I may not be investing money into this incarnation of the game, but you should know god damn well how invested we vets are emotionally. But I get it, I'm not allowed to express my annoyances, that much has been made abundantly clear thus far. Free game no bitching, or whatever. Also, you should realize that this is the internet, and hyperbole is as prevalent as it is unintended, "extremely mad" is more like "exceptionally grumpy." Theres no snark on my part, Im just a bit of an a-hole but my points were valid in the context they were given but I will concede potentially unfair and latched on to a phrase you used. Emotional investment is why a great deal of us is here and that shouldnt be used as a stick to beat you with so for that I apologize. Some of the blaster changes SEEM crazy good but in full context and testing they are far from gamebreaking, most just allow for ease of resource management, the regeneration thats all over them doesnt do much to help survivability in a fight but does lower downtime in getting from one fight to the next, yes, these toggles and clickies are pretty much "must haves" but then, all sets have contained those. What we need to remember is that while it is all new to us, they have actually been in use for the missing 6 years for... how shall we say... certain clientele. I understand grump, I embody it but I also run my own private MMO server (not CoH because I want to enjoy playing) and from my analysis I can see only pros and little cons in it, not that Im always right or anything, I can be quite, quite wrong. I had reservations and issues with iteration 1 of the proposed snipe changes but they addressed that so Im more on the side of waiting to see what happens. Most of what we have is what we would have had if NCsoft didnt pull the plug, its all information pulled from the files. New blaster secondaries, which I am testing, are not any better than the old ones (*edit* not any better than the old ones REDONE that is) , just different, on their own they seem crazy good because its easy to miss the little changes to the older sets, the only one I think is a bit off is Frigid Protection which as it effects the enemy as well as yourself is going to be getting toggled off when you get mezed all the time.
  25. See, when I see people wanting a healthier market, I always tend to think this is what they want...a market contolled by the big influnce marketeers, forcing us to go uphill both ways to get the goods. I shudder at these kinds of things, because like another poster states, I play the game to be a (super)hero, not to be a money manager and the current state makes it enjoyable - I have to take the time to get/make the IOs, but I don't have to take time out of playing just to earn the stuff to do it, it happens while I play normally. Having to play two games - the market and the Go Hunt Kil Skuls - is not my thing. My best-man, back in the day, hit the 2B mark in a couple weeks after starting, because he loves numbers, so i get that the market is another game. Pretty much this, someones "game" consists of locking down the market and being able to freeze everyone else out and demand outlandish prices. The devs did good work nipping this in the bud when they capped salvage, now they are mad that they cant lock down specific enhancements due to converters allowing side access.
