Yeah if you could post that I’d be grateful. I’m at 38 right now and it’s pretty good so far but purple sets at 50 will be fun I’m sure. I pieced together what I saw of several plant builds and my current knowledge of my several dark builds.

Well it works best on dead enemies so that's probably the reason why.

I tend to put 5-6 slots in this. Efficacy End/Acc, End/Rech. Perf Shift End/Acc, End/Rech. And then 1 or 2 from a heal set like Preventive...Heal/Rech and a Heal.

I like Ice Storm. It’s an additional slow and you can put a couple of procs in it. It also recharges pretty quickly. Ultimately I switched to Psy for the status protection power though. -
I was just curious about the power having never used it. I will definitely always be teaming...I might drop Leadership (but keep Fighting). I may also take Soul for the Power Boost (seems to work on my Time/Sonic) and Dark Embrace.

Thanks for the insight 😉 If no one else pops in I might have to look at several Plant/ builds and a few /Psi builds just to see how people are slotting everything.

I finally decided on Thermal/Dark. Big fan of Dark on the Controller side of things so why not try Dark blast for the first time. Any skippable powers in either set or builds floating around?

So I've decided to make my first Dom (I play a lot of controllers) and I've never played Plant control or Psi Blast so why not put them together and give it a go. I went back as far as July and didn't see any Plant/Psi builds posted so I was wondering if there were any floating around or at least some advice on skippable powers etc? Thanks!

Yeah I haven't tried Dark Blast yet...I've tried all the controller iterations of Dark...so Dark blast would be on the table for sure.

Yeah...the only real exception is in something like Dark where I have no qualms throwing out aoe because the -tohit is so strong that there isn't an alpha hit to take because most of them miss. I love my Dk/Dk Tank troller 😉

So I was planning on starting a Thermal having never played the set before. Any suggestions besides /Sonic to pair with it that would synergize well? I play a lot of controllers as well so if there is a better synergy with a control primary then I'd be open to that as well. Basically looking forward to trying Thermal.

Yeah an AOE immob opener is a quick way to eat dirt...unless you let the melee guys take the aggro first. I was running some Malta mishes on my 50+ brute last night for a change of pace and there was a troller in his high 30's who would hit the mobs with his aoe immob before I got a chance to get close enough to taunt and jump in the middle. He took many dirt naps...even after I suggested he wait until I get aggro before throwing out aoe's left and right.

I had a lot of fun the other day starting my Tina arc at 42. I sent a LFG and only invited 3-4 people instead of a full team. Ran the missions at +3/+8 and it was challenging and fun. With fewer people you know who is doing what and how each person is contributing. Instead of 8 man teams steamrolling and most support toons having no idea if they are doing any good. Think I might start playing like that more often. Would love to play on teams dedicated to using only basic IOs instead specials. Would feel more like the old days where you play more strategically and carefully. Love those days.

I find that much of the team aspect of the game is going away because it is becoming so much easier to build for indestructibility. That and the fact a lot of lower level guys will join 54 lvl missions (not the simple radio stuff) and then try to nuke/pull/hold/tank mobs they have no business doing to zero effect. If I have an aoe assist power I just position myself to do the most good. I don’t stop to tell anyone anything. I just cast my stuff as we roll along. I doubt anyone knows why they aren’t dying/getting hit or whatever the buff/debuff is accomplishing but I’m not stopping to tell everyone either. Although one time recently I was on my Dk/Nature controller and the outlying blasters/defenders/controllers kept going in the red and I decided to mention that if you stand in the mushroom circle then you will stay healed. It fell largely on deaf ears. But a couple of days ago I was playing on a team who had a Nature defender and I threw a few comments out to everyone letting them know how nice it was to stand in the mushroom circle etc. He appreciated the comment. I indirectly let the team know some info they might not have known.

Siren's Song does do the proc damage first then the mob goes to sleep. So I like it 😉
