  1. I miss the old-school sewer runs. Going all the way through until you got out in Steel or Skyway then hopping into street sweeping mode. *sigh* That shit was FUN!
  2. Ooh, imagine a huge mansion with all the defenses of a real crime boss. Could be an interesting end-game of a 'Family' related arc. Thrown in some 'Big Trouble in Little China' scale of epicness for an EB/AV fight with the Tsoo. The Warriors? IDK why but I picture there main hub as an old tower ruins somewhere in Striga (maybe by the cemetary) that has ancient underground tunnels (not caves, more like old stone aqueducts in the Roman style) that they use for smuggling.
  3. I was one of those masochists that actually loved running this with friends back on live. Good times!
  4. This, exactly. I hop about between gaming and other hobbies. Doing one thing until burn-out ensues is not in my nature, so I can revisit and find new enjoyment each time I return.
  5. Hiya hey! Yes, all's well but busy. I'm in a bit of a hiatus I suppose. I'll be back but it may be a few weeks yet before that happens. In the meanwhile, happy hunting to you all!
  6. For days when you need that extra push to keep going: Behold! Enya 'Cursum Perficio'
  7. I absolutely love my Ice/Martial Dom. Gotta admit, though; a Shuriken Blast set sounds pretty frekkin awesome.
  8. This is what Audio normally looks like. The other costume was for the sake of motif :)
  9. (You'd probably be better served asking this in the Base Construction sub-forum.) The most obvious thing (and one you've likely already tried) is cycling your F5 key to make sure it's attaching to the correct surface. Sometimes, if you have a special tile on your ceiling/floor/, that can mess with placement. If you're building on top of or under the base, that's a bit more involved and more proficient people would have better answers for you. You could always try the "did you turn it off and on" approach and try verifying your files. Hope that helps a little. /e shrug
  10. Asked the same question m'self. I came up with this and the boss kinda liked it. It's a combo of Gunslinger and Resistance costume pieces with the short fringe cape for the neckerchief and bolo chest detail.
  11. Got ya covered. Welcome aboard. @cranebump, I left the rank promotion up to you, of course.
  12. The wiki is actually not as daunting as it may seem once you get familiar with it. The colored/blocked in text is just cut scenes/dialogue. Think of that part as a cue for the next phase, task, etc. Using the Contents section at the top of the page will take you to each specific mission within the TF, SF, Trial or iTrial you are reading up on. If there are special badges (Master of...., for example) you'll find what's necessary to achieve it at the bottom of the page. It will make more sense once you've experienced a few runs. As has been suggested, try soloing the the sub-50's simply for familiarity. I don't suggest joining a Mo-anything until you're abundantly familiar with it. It will take time to learn, so don't be discouraged. When you see a shout out for something you'd like to join, just let the team leader know you've not done it yet and would like to join, if that's okay. (Most will be happy to let you join. You have to start somewhere)
  13. Rime Rogue Cryovenger Cryobinder Boreal Blade
  14. True. I think most of us here know the nuances. I suspect maybe some are new with its usage. A lot of the "problems" are more likely due to the speed at which teams travel now. With everyone running around like they're juiced up, there's not a split second to do much finessing. Also, try letting the team leader know if you use un-converted KB. It has worked wonders for me and I haven't ever gotten yelled at by my teammates on the occasions I play such characters. Lastly, we really should be adult enough not to have a tantrum over trivialities. There are as many "annoyances" as there are players. You can either suck it up and drive on, or continue to cry about it when you don't get your way.
  15. Seems the logical choice to start with. It would probably be easier to do pact runs once things are established. Drop me a line @Incense and Iron when you're ready to roll out, if you'd like to have me along.
  16. Preach it brother. I'm not gonna tell someone else how to play their character and I certainly won't listen if they try to change me. Play, have fun and forget the drama. On that note I think I'll go play my un-converted EN/WP Sentinel for a while now.
  17. I would be interested as it's not too far off how I play already. Admittedly, I do XPbuff + TF level most of my characters because I get bored soloing all the time. How would you propose a starting SG team be handled? Would it be a sort of "level pact" team where arcs are only picked up and run together? Or more like pop in and help with whatever arc whoever is doing?
  18. I say "break point" in that they can mitigate being totally overrun vs. taking some heat in retreat. Hopefully, if you're going to retreat you won't stop until you reach a point that's safe to do so. By then the mobs peel off and are returning (for the most part). By then, you should have your front line back on their feet ready to grab that aggro. But this was back then...Now? I don't know. /e shrug
  19. If I look at things like a battlefield, Sentinels make sense. Melee = Infantry, up close and in-your-face. Blasters= ranged, light artillery Control= sort of like air support. Into the fray for short bursts to drop their payload and high tail it out to strike again. Support= Logistics and Medical Corp But where's our Armored Artillery unit? Oh. Remember, they were released before the Incarnate system and strategy was still a thing. (Don't get butthurt. You know this is true or you wouldn't see complaints about how easy things are now) Teams play differently now so the need for that spot in group play isn't as clear. They were kinda like the break point between the (then truly) squishies and the angry hordes in the event your front line failed for whatever reason. I honestly don't know what the answer is for improving them to fit in line with the new meta. I would agree that their Inherent is lackluster and I wouldn't say no to a damage increase.
  20. Just some thought on ways to improve exposure (My humble opinion, consider it constructive feedback and nothing more) Streamers: "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" 1. Don't rely on just Twitch or just YouTube, etc.- Cross posting helps! Simulcasting can be expensive, so upload your Twitch streams to YouTube(and elsewhere) afterward if that is more cost effective for you. 2. Cover the different games you play. - You might draw someone in who plays that game and then checks out what else you're playing and sees something they'd like to try out. 3. Do more than just play! aka Engage your followers/subscribers. Find out what builds they're interested in and dive in! (I think RektByProtoss does a very good format for this in his Grim Dawn build guides) You would probably gain followers just by starting out posting some of the more requested builds. Have a regular schedule so you can let your followers know when you'll be playing and invite them to join you in-game for the stream. Have give-aways! Reward your followers' patronage by tossing them a nice Enhancement or INF, or whatever. If you're in an SG, they could support you in this endeavor; though I wouldn't suggest just running with your SG for streams. 4. Use more than Discord. - You're on this forum right now. Why not use it? A pinned post in the Arts and Multimedia section could be used for a permanent, and maintained list (with links to) our various content creators. Also, host your fellow streamers when you're offline! 5. Work with eachother. - Utilize the Clubs feature here on this forum. Talk to your fellows and collaborate. Share advice, experiences, ideas, etc. to build one another up. Who better to seek advice from/bounce ideas off of than those doing what it is that you do? City of Heroes community: Put your (figurative) money where your mouth is! Show up and support these folks! I don't need to go into detail on this (I hope). That's really the biggest thing you can do for them. Show up Anyhoo, just my opinion but I hope it helps someone. Peace!
