  1. All for this. The whole heel-in-tights thing never made sense to me. Can't imagine it would be very sturdy. Lots of falling over and twisted ankles. Imagine the repair costs!
  2. Agree that it shouldn't be all the time. The anticipation of the season coming is part of the magic. I wouldn't see the harm in having a Pocket D-esque version of Halloween Town to access year-round for those who wish it. I sometimes pop into DA just for the spooky vibes, whether just for the whim or for inspiration on a new creature.
  3. If there's any possible way to "flip the switch" for ToT in a zone, this would be the perfect setting. Pretty please?
  4. Yeah, there's not really an "easy fix" option because of the character model limits, I imagine. My approach (if I knew anything about character modeling) would to leave the existing hair (short option) and add a second, longer, more cleaned up hairstyle (long option). The "long" would probably end up being medium-length because of clipping but I'd take it.
  5. I had a dark/regen scrapper on live who I thoroughly enjoyed playing. She was post-nerf, pre-Incarnate. The way the set operated made sense to me in that time frame. I thought about typical regen heroes in comics and it seemed to jibe with them. You could take a massive amount of damage, be a sliver away from biting it for a long while, and only kissing the floor if you didn't bother to kick your regen into overdrive with a self-heal before it was too late. I'm not really all that great at the numbers game, but it seems to me that the problem lies with post-Incarnate performance. Like the HP pool wasn't increased at a rate to be on par with the amount of damage you could take before faceplanting. You can't expand the HP pool with an Incarnate path because everyone would take it (balance). So then what pool powers do you change/add/remove to a point where it is viable for the inflated numbers of post-50 content for the Regen pool only? It might seem like an easy fix of slapping a sustain on it until you remember there's a power theme you're following. Do you add a sustain power and pass it off as just another mutated effect of being able to Regen to begin with? *shrugs*
  6. Agree! Also, Metal could use at least a glove option to match.
  7. Senses a great disturbance as if hundreds of altoholics cried out at once... After careful consideration and deductive reasoning, I willl have to say Sonic/Dev -or- Sonic Blaster. I just enjoy that set for some reason and Dezebel and Audiodacity are my 2 favorite characters. Don't make me decide between them, please. My heart!
  8. Fixed it for you. Seriously though, hats need help. The hair options on most make you look like an unkempt murder hobo.
  9. My Halloween offering for this year: Soilbleed - Water/Earth Blaster, appropriately colored "water" of course.
  10. Hmm, I have a few Halloween themed characters. My favorites are: Hallie Cryptkin - Dark/Kin Controller. The Apparitionist - Dark/Mind Dominator
  11. Thanks for indulging my curiosity. I noticed that there were some folks new to CoH out and about and became curious what their experience might be like compared to Live. That was really the only "goal" of my question. Perhaps this can aid them in their expectations when it comes to those types of things. I enjoy my time on Everlasting and the people I've teamed with have generally been pleasant companions on whatever journey it is that we're on. See you in Paragon! @Incense and Iron
  12. A curiosity question. Given that Paragon exists in a much smaller realm these days, how do you go about having the player experience you're after? My SG before sunset was a solo stronghold but became an active group born of a split in play style. There was a group of characters standing around protesting City Hall about it. We all played the same way, so I opened my doors. Supergroups: Do we still use these to have a group of like-minded folks to accompany us on our travels? Is your SG a solo stronghold? Global/Local Friends: Do you actually add people to your friends lists? Is this something you generally don't bother with? For me, my SG is a solo thing. Would I be willing to join an existing SG? Sure, but I think I made it more difficult for myself by making the Unofficial RP server my home. I love the creativity being expressed by others but I don't do RP myself. Most of my game time is solo leveling. I enjoy the scenery along the way, so to speak, but at a brisk walk. I'll usually jump on any TF that gets shouted out and roll with whatever the pace of the team is. I wouldn't even know where to begin to find an SG that suits me these days. Friends lists don't *seem* to be a thing as I'm sure everyone already has their group of friends established. I'm fine with PUGs but would not be adverse to having a regular group again. So how do you go about the City these days? Do you still use these social options?
  13. Just wondering if this was still being worked on? I've been wanting something like Wowhead/Grimtools/Icy Veins build planners for a while so this is absolutely appreciated. I'm sure it's no small feat so truly, thank you.
  14. Haha, that's awesome! I've seen that character quite a bit forming those DFB's. I thought you were just someone being a lowby angel by forming teams all the time. I applaud your dedication to the task.
  15. I'm pretty generic with my slotting unless I decide I really enjoy a character. Start with D/O -> S/O -> then I/O's around Level 30-ish. If I get beyond there into the 40+ range then I'll start putting in sets. I rarely stay on a character long enough to worry about purples, Hami's or whatever. Then it's on to the next adventure.
  16. Aye. I use those robe options quite a bit. That was the closest visual representation I could find of the Collar+ Shoulder with coat option I found. I'd like to be able to use just the collar + shoulders of that cape option also; instead of shoulder armor. I tried mixing it up with that awful Fringe cape but yeah, the fringe ruins it for me. Unless you're going for an 80's denim jacket look.
  17. Mine too! I was begrudgingly dragged into The City from my cozy offline-single player games under the assurances that I would have a great time. Dammit but if they weren't right and here I am still enjoying every minute I'm here. Favorite memories? My first 50. (Dark/Regen scrapper). Sewer runs. Having an SG that would show up to do Shard stuff over multiple days/times on the weekend. The many TF/story arc marathons or anything else we decided to run. My first 50 Villain. My first 50 EAT. Pool parties in Ouro and at Spanky's. The huge gatherings in the 'Egg Hunter' lounge where the Devs turned us all into multiple baddies.
  18. An answer a little more in the spirit of the thread, this time: When I came back to Homecoming, I started off with all new toons and continue to make many more. However, I found an old game doc that had all my characters from live listed and a new mission begins. Project Resurrection: Memory! Now it's time to pull those heroes back from that dreaded 'Sunset' dimension. I don't know how many I can actually faithfully recreate, but I will try. Alas, I have always been an altoholic so wish me luck!
