  1. Damn bros this is getting heated, lol. Anyway, IMO, If the leader has a stipulation, then follow it or don't try and join. If you just skimmed over it then it is your fault for your failure to read (it happens but don't blame anyone other than yourself). The leader can have any sort of term, arbitrary or not (did we ever establish what that meant?). It is their thing they're organizing.
  2. I'm sure everyone knows already but the comics can be found here. http://www.cityofheroes.ca/media-and-downloads/comic-archive/
  3. I mostly just enjoy coming up with a backstory. I sometimes like to play power combinations that are in the meta. Often this leads to since unintuitive combinations as far as storytelling goes, and this sometimes twists me into knots to come up with a workable story. That is still fun though. I have a hard time coming up with something from nothing so even an eccentric prompt helps me quite a bit. I like reading other peoples' stuff too. I generally try to at least skim a bit when waiting for teammates or whatever. Raids are especially good since it gathers a ton of people and it takes awhile for them to fully coalesce. Plenty of time to BS too which I also like doing.
  4. I wonder how fast I would puke using travel powers.
  5. I think the music is pretty good. Especially RWZ. The mothership music is totally sikkkk.
  6. I said I'd draw a drawing of whoever responded first while we were waiting for people to join in Pont Du Hoc FB. As promised drawn with sharpie though I did cheat and make a separate sketch (with pen so it is also unerasable) where I figured out the pose and stuff. Sorry for the lack of scanner. Technically I think I still have one but it is covered in my hoarder stash somewhere.
  7. Thanks for the reply. I have been wasting my time building fury and using buildup I guess. Man the judgment powers sure are awesome though.
  8. That moment was moving to me, not going to lie. I was smiling like crazy.
  9. Incarnate is it's own thing. There are no respecs for it since you can always respec on the fly (with a time delay) with whatever you have made. Dumb question time. Is judgment affected by damage buffs? I know it is not affected sadly by recharge.
  10. It would make sense thematically I think. I am not going to say no to new stuff to do anyway.
  11. 31. Man I was expecting more people around this age. Didn't realize I have been playing with a bunch of geezers.
  12. Thanks. I looked into it a little and I guess I was sitting on ~150 merits so I am less poor than I thought! I still don't have a 50 so I'm only doing common IO's currently and it is cheap enough that I haven't even had to make any converters to sell. Somebody bought a recipe I was selling to clear my inventory for more than a million so I feel kind of rich on my highest level character currently. Another way is that you could always donate prize money to the organizer and let them worry about fairness in judging or whatever. Or just don't care! It is inherently subjective so I'm not sure fairness comes into it as long as you aren't accepting kickbacks or something.
  13. I work for a "world class" corporation and the last Nokia flip phone work phones were only recently replaced. Crey must be the same but worse.
  14. As a poverty stricken newbie who has never had more than a million at once, I think you should consider using it as prize money for contests. Some fellow was running a hide and seek game in AP making sure to hide in a place even travel power less people could find. He then did a cc and with donations the total prizes came out to 2 billion. Being poor too is part of the game and is not that bad (at least compared to bring poor irl). But various events and contests are just adding to the overall fun.
  15. I just recently started playing again too having stopped just after the Architect issue (2009?). I do miss the commuting. Made it feel like a real city having to switch trains! Maybe I'm just too much of a car driver irl so this seems fun to me but I always did enjoy just super jumping and speeding around the city. I do also miss sweeping hazard zones in teams as lowbies. This seems to be replaced by the dfb trial and bypassed by early travel powers. With the merit meta there is simply less reward too compared to tfs, trials, and mission arcs. It would be nice to do this again with some nostalgic old players. Maybe some sort of thing can be set up to incentize sweeping like merits for killing x mobs in a zone that con at least green to you. Overall I feel like people are just richer compared to back when I stopped. I think super efficient ae farming haven't become a thing yet then so overall there were fewer fully built people. I guess merits weren't a thing either. Also the top end was less high of course. This is of course anecdotal but I don't think people are any more or less nice to newbies and ignorants (that's me!). There always are a good supply of helpful people. I do feel that there are much fewer truly new to the game people. That is just the nature of things. I'm sure somewhere there is a list of common acronyms but I have just asked or creepily monitored the chat to deduce its meaning. Sovera's guide has been extremely helpful for everything for me to start back up. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/14433-simple-guide-for-newcomers-money-making-amongst-other-things/
