  1. This wasn't in the first post in this thread, but it's in the combined patch notes: Added ability for villain characters to queue in LFG for Ernesto Hess and Moonfire's Task Forces Does this mean that villains will be able to run these TFs or just join them? I ask because I had a group do the Moonfire TF tonight and we were all wondering how an all-villain team could possibly complete it since there's one part that requires visiting a contact in Skyway City.
  2. That'll still leave the neck somewhat exposed, though (I think). It's hard to tell in the pictures, but I think they're using the Heavy Neck Chain shoulder detail.
  3. Does this mean that we won't be able to get the new player sets until the next page/issue, or that players have to test them first but they can still come out for AE in this page, or something else I haven't thought of?
  4. I didn't see a focused feedback thread for this, so I'll just put it here: THANK YOU for adding more sets to AE! I have some heretofore-unable-to-be-realized ideas that will be possible now. Is there something special that has to be done with powersets before you add them to AE? I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I couldn't help but notice that the new sets in this Issue and some of the other newer sets (like Symphony Control) aren't in there....
  5. Can you post pics of the new patterns, or is that forbidden?
  6. I don't usually play blasters; I tend to find them too squishy. However, I was determined to get one of each archetype to 50 without power-leveling. I tried a number of different blasters, but the one that finally worked for me was Dual Pistols / Martial Combat. Martial is a really nice secondary, with a slow PBAoE toggle to keep bad guys from running up and ganking you, a self-teleport power to get into and out of melee range quickly, and a self-heal/break-free power for when you get mezzed (plus the T1, Ki Push, is really good for getting bad guys out of your face. I call it "super yeet" for giggles). It worked really well with Dual Pistols thematically. As for Dual Pistols, I like the Swap Ammo power a lot because it allows you to get around certain foes' resistances and use different effects. It also means that you can do some rather... creative slotting, since certain powers will take some enhancements that only apply to effects when using a certain kind of ammo (like Suppressive Fire taking hold sets when it only holds with ice ammo. Also, pretty much any power can take slow sets because of the slow applied from ice ammo, and many can take knockback sets even though that effect only applies when you don't have a specific ammo type equipped). The damage from DP is pretty good and I found the animations to be energetic and fun (although I know that some people find them absurd and ridiculous. I kind-of leaned into a more frenetic type of character for my DP/Martial). It's got a good amount of AoE for mobs and decent single-target damage for finishing off remaining bosses or EB/AV fights. I would like to note that, although Piercing Rounds is technically a cone, it's a very narrow cone, so I basically treated it as a single-target power that would very occasionally do damage to a nearby enemy as a bonus; I didn't plan on it hitting anyone but my main target with it, so I wasn't disappointed when it didn't, which is what happened most of the time.
  7. ITF is for "Imperious Task Force" which is the one in Cimerora. I've seen MLTF for "Ms. Liberty Task Force" more than just MLT. Was replying while Red posted. That's a great link! I didn't know that existed!
  8. I admit I'm not much into Marvel lore, but it seems to me like Doc Ock would be a tech hero since his powers come from the mechanical arms attached to his body. I'm curious why you put him in the "science" category. Also, the Sentinel's Vulnerability power is not passive anymore. You have a bar above the xp bar similar to dominators and brutes, and you can use "vulnerability" on a target when this bar is 50% full or higher. Doing so depletes the bar by 50%. Only one application of Vulnerability is allowed per target, so multiple Sentinels cannot stack their Vulnerabilities.
  9. My Ill/dark/psy is one of my favorite characters EVER. She's very clicky, but she can take on pretty much anything with few/no problems. For a long time, the biggest issue I had with her was low toxic resistance, but when they added toxic defense that was fixed. She pretty much steamrolls anything, and I rarely have to summon PA twice for the same mob (running at +3/x8 with full Incarnates). By the way, the Chance for Buildup proc from Soulbound Allegiance (very rare Pet IO set) will work with PA, so have fun with that when you get to 50!
  10. How does Forcefield compare to Storm? Also, what do you think about Bots on a Mastermind? Do they still do knockback?
  11. I tried to get around rad melee not being there by using atomic manipulation or radioactive assault, but those aren't there either. 😞
  12. Add missing powersets. There's currently a rad-based enemy group that I want to make but can't because Rad Melee's not in there and I can't recolor other sets to look like rad. Oh yeah, recoloring custom critters' powers, too (or instead?). What baffles me is that storm blast and some of the HC sets are in there, so why not rad melee or water blast? I don't understand the reasoning. A "Praetorian" tag. Might as well add "Resistance" and "Loyalist" tags, too. Those are the main things I've run into lately; I'm working on a series of arcs for Praetorians in the level 40 to 50 range because it bugs me that there aren't any story arcs for them in that range. Currently, if you want to get a pure Praetorian to 50, you have to do a bunch of repeatable missions from Trilogy, and that gets boring (at least for me).
  13. Everyone sees what you did there. It's crystal clear. 😛
  14. Also, if you have an Illusion character with PA set to mirror your appearance, does mini-mode affect the PA decoys or do they just copy your costume without being mini-fied?
  15. Wait... are you saying mini mode does or does not work with coyote and panther travel forms?
  16. I wasn't sure where to put this, so ... Basically, if you have a character with mini-mode from the hologram vendor and you turn on Granite Armor (stone armor powerset T9), will you stay mini while it's on? I'd also like to know about other T9 powers and anything that doesn't work with mini. I already know you have to turn mini off to edit your costume.
  17. Much better, thanks. And nice costumes! 🙂
  18. TheMoneyMaker, I can't see your screenshots. 😞 Is anyone else having this issue?
  19. Having extra funds on hand in case the donation goal isn't hit by the time you get charged is very smart. Here, have some money and keep up the good work!
  20. Doesn't all the DoT mess with the sleeps, though? Or did you not take those?
  21. I'm looking to try Mind Control since I've heard some... interesting things about it. One of the most consistent things I've heard is that it's better on dominators, so dom it is. But what to pair with it? I've heard that /fiery is good, but doesn't the DoT mess up the sleeps? I'm just looking for people's ideas and thoughts. FYI, I'd probably end up playing mostly ranged.
  22. My illusion/dark/psi controller is a powerhouse and the combo lends itself quite well to characters who are ghosts and/or malicious psychics (mine's an alternate-dimension version of Ghost Widow). There's something to be said for "trickster demon" or "uses toxic hallucinogens" as well. Or maybe a living nightmare.
  23. I haven't managed "The Really Hard Way" even once yet, but then again, I'm on Indom, so there aren't as many opportunities.
  24. Is there any chance we'll get new stats any time soon?
