  2. This kinetic melee/rad armor scrapper has quickly become one of my favorite characters, though I eventually concluded that the 'speedster' concept did not work all that well. Instead, the character became my healing scrapper.
  3. The Novas - Do the Crusher
  4. Bobby Darin - If I Were a Carpenter
  5. Tim Rose - Morning Dew
  6. Would a revised wishlist build like this work better, then? Tried to get as much mileage out of relatively inexpensive stuff for this character; then again she already has her Miracle and Numina, Even so this looks like it will take more than 2000 merits and a shedload of tickets to build. Keeping Levitate; it amuses me. Villain Plan by Mids' Villain Designer 1.962 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! 7. Medeia, a mind/fire dom, is one of the two characters I made to participate in the Halloween festivities. This is an update of a costume used on Wolf Witch, an i23 character. That robe marks her as a follower of the Scythian faction. Plaster Caster is another character I made in anticipation of Halloween; she's an archery/devices blaster. She was originally going to be 'Plaster Caster Blaster' but that's apparently too many letters. A prodict of the swinging 60s, she's a doublenaught spy, and her ambition is to become a Bond Girl.
  8. I do think I need to burn another respec on the character. I'm now at 34, although I skipped a few TFs that I need to revisit because part of the levelling was when I joined somebody's fire farm and got boosted from 19 to 30. I took the whole primary when it seems some things have very limited value (Telekinesis) and most of the secondary. What the character seems to need more than anything is attacks that do damage. My tankers of a similar level kill stuff faster than she does. I also gather that I will eventually want a lot of Luck of the Gambler mules, so I'm probably going to respec out of Force of Will and go back to Leaping, for Combat Jumping. May keep Project Will. Am almost comfortable enough with the character that I can think about what a wish list build for her would look like. How does something like this look to the pros here? 9. Liquid Sky - Rhythm Box (remix)
  10. March Violets - Snake Dance
  11. The Doors - The Spy
  12. New Model Army - Ballad of Bodmin Pill
  13. DrQ is a pleasant evening compared to Apex. I suspect Katie Hannon (and Ernesto Hess) don't appear in the rotation because they are locked behind certain mission badges. This suggests that Apex and Tin Mage should be taken out of the lineup as well. They are locked behind endgame achievements that many players haven't gotten to yet. When heroes are stuck with DrQ, villains get Virgil T, which is relatively short and fun.
  14. There are several scrappers I wouldn't bother taking it on, and I don't see a whole lot of point on sentinels or stalkers either. Never not taken them on a tanker though. I rather dislike the set, in that both Boxing and Kick are of no value as attacks and trying to use them actually hurts weapon sets.
  15. Heraclea Paltrowed the Shard of Kalak.
  16. At this point, Stan Lee is a historical figure. I had many characters named and looking like historical figures to the best of my ability on old live: Betsy Ross, William Shakespeare, Madame Nhu, Abe Lincoln, Hideki Tojo, and a couple more obscure ones like Ranavalona and Giulia Tofana. Never had an issue with them.
  17. When you finally find that last clockwork in the defeat all mission, stuck in the rafters of the warehouse.
  18. Tim Rose - Long Time Man
  19. KC and the Sunshine Band - Get Down Tonight
  20. Weird Al Yankovic - Germs
  21. The Sundowners - Into the Light
  22. For stuff like Citadel and Penelope Yin this may be true; after you get to SO levels things get easier. But I would be quite surprised to see everyone live on Posi 1, especially in the last mission, and have seen many team wipes there.
  23. Currently 'Master of' badges for task forces and trials are exclusively for the highest level content in the game. The Master Of badges for stuff like the Miss Liberty, Kahn, Lady Grey, and Imperious TFs require no deaths and no temp powers. The incarnate TF and trial badges are a bit easier, because they basically require you to collect all the badges available for them, and some of these are mutually inconsistent and require multiple runs. They don't have to be acquired in one go. While these Master badges are awarded for significant achievement, I think that earning them on a Posi 1, 2, or Synapse would be an even more impressive feat. I think there should be Master badges for all of the Freedom Phalanx task forces, and maybe for things like the abandoned sewer and Eden trials as well. And they should not be exclusive to the highest level content, if only because the earlier game content is in many ways a better test of player skill.
  24. Iulia Calusarides cos. Præter has omnis collaboratio cum Vanguardiis in conscientia cuiusque manet. Pax cum re publica Paragonensi conservanda est; propterea bellum in sociis suis nec gerendum nec petendum. Haec scriptum est; haec facienda sit. Datum ante diem octavum Idus Octobris, in Nova Colchidi. Julia Calusarides, consul, salutes Heraclea our legate: This is the judgment of the Assembly about the Vanguard and Rikti: All Amazons are allowed to earn Vanguard merits. All Amazons are also allowed to raid the Rikti flying ship, for the sake of booty, All Amazons are also allowed to participate in Lady Gray's raid to free the captive women, because they are allies, soldiers, and sisters. Beyond this all collaboration with the Vanguard remains in everyone's individual conscience. Peace with the Paragon republic must be preserved; accordingly, war against their allies must neither be waged nor sought. So it is written; so let it be done. Given on the eighth day before the Ides of October, in New Colchis.
  25. 15-20 million inf is about the max I carry on any one character at any time. I do not trust inf as a store of value, and when it starts to pile up I do go to the AH asap to turn it into something of more durable value, even if it's just salvage I am short on. Because of this, AH prices for valued AT enhancements seem extravagant or out of reach for most of my characters. I do grab Assemble the Team for my stealthists; for a levelling character that's a million setback that typically comes close to cleaning them out. These are usually actually paid for by Heraclea, who handles reasonably well while exemped and has mostly completed her incarnadoodles, so she plays only for inf when exemped. But stuff like ATOs are usually boughten outright with merits. I will sometimes place bids on stuff like stalker or dominator sets that are occasionally filled, but the most popular ATs like brutes and scrappers are basically on their own when it comes to this stuff. Fortunately I run many TFs - it's my usual method of levelling - and as such my characters tend to grow up merit rich and inf poor, and converting merits into inf strikes me as a step in the wrong direction. Get rid of the inf and turn it into something with real value. It's dirty stuff anyways.
