  1. It has, but hey, it's a fun question. As for mine, I really like Striga Island, as it's such a cool zone in terms of atmosphere and lore. It's not quite a city zone, not quite a hazard zone, and the feeling from that always kinda reminded me of Madripoor from the old Wolverine comics. A leeeeeetle lacking on the story side (there's definitely some there, but it's still pretty par-for-the-early-game stuff), but in general a neat area, and "this is a rough town, but nobody likes the nazis, so just go ahead and beat the daylights out of 'em" is all you really need to be a hero, I guess. Or hey, maybe a villain? Revamp and make it a dual-faction zone! I also like Port Oakes. Feels kinda like reverse-Striga. Not so many nazis to beat up (well, there's Vendetti's arc, but he's awfully easy to out-level), but just something about the "rough town" atmosphere, prolly for all the Fambly running things and fighting in factions. St. Martial's similar, but it's a little too on the nose with its...flaked gilding, so Port Oakes always had a more fun feel for me. Oh, and in a less dreary/rundown kind of way, I did love me some Galaxy City. Maybe I'm just waxing nostalgic now that it's gone, I dunno. It was the first zone I ever went to (after the tutorial) the first time I played the game. I always liked the aesthetic more than AP. Heck, when the servers were going to go down, it's where I went to take my "last" screen shots of the game. I've just got a lot of sentiment for it; it's got a special place in my heart. I wish I could, like Ouro myself back there and do actual missions and stuff. Maybe Tips?
  2. Bring the Cysts back! Would it help if it was just a blanket thing and not tied to having a Kheldian on the team? Just for mission 2 of the ITF, if nothing else. The chaos that ensues when people thought they had easy pickins is great.
  3. They say a picture is worth 1,000 words. In this case, all 1,000 of them are "irony".
  4. I just made a Dark/WP Stalker to replace my Savage/ after the Hemorrhage nerf, and boy am I enjoying it. The changes to Shadow Maul and Touch of Fear make me feel like a tidal wave.
  5. Generally, I'd argue the "means to address" is really, really simple: be the change you want to see. If people are breaking off from groups when the leader quits, because none of them want to lead, it's because they see that as perfectly acceptable. If you want groups to stay together, then offer to take the lead and handle it, and don't worry about what goes on in other teams.
  6. In general, I'd like to see an approach to MMs/pets that gives more a sort of "lead from the front" feel. That may necessitate an entirely different AT, though.
  7. I'd wish that they would re-decide to do the buff to unstacked Rage that got tabled 'cause of too many complaints it wasn't OP enough. Would make my flippin' day.
  8. Did the Hemorrhage nerf also fix Savage Leap not crit-ing from Hide, by any chance? The power data in-game says it has a 30% chance now (which is still disappointingly low, but something), but I dunno, a lot of times, that feels unreliable.
  9. I seem to be running into this when trying to load the real-numbers data for certain powers. It may be tied to Stalkers. I pulled up Savage Melee with both Scrapper and Stalker and Scrapper worked okay, but Stalker, the moment I move the mouse over something, the client nopes the hell out and I get booted to my desktop. Then I tried Psi Melee for Stalkers and got the same crash.
  10. Claws is just an amazingly great set, and I agree Follow-Up's animation is the weakest link, too. Getting the Night Widow version would be great, but that animation is already used in Claws for Focus, so they'd have to change that animation, too, and I'm not sure there would be a better choice for that one, either.
  11. Thought: team with someone for whom Harris still exists and do the arc together? At that point, the other person can talk to him to complete it? Haven't tried it myself, but it feels like it "should" work.
  12. On paper, perhaps. But will the terrible pathing AI that they have finally catch up to them in execution?
  13. So would this mean that powers that are set to use "No Redraw" animations (or that have it by default, like /Plant Manipulation) will actually animate correctly when used when the weapon isn't drawn? Because if so...OHHHHHH YEAH!
  14. The irony being that she died exactly because of a vigilante who had gone a bit more extreme?
  15. I have a Pain/Sonic, and love the combo; it's probably my favorite support AT build I've done so far. There's a fair bit of synergy with how /Sonic increases your damage through -Res while Pain/ allows you to buff your own damage by using Share Pain on your allies (just be a bit careful when using it since it makes you vulnerable!). And then there's Anguishing Cry for further stacking -Res, and World of Pain which lets you boost not only damage for the whole team but also Res (not necessarily mechanically synergistic on that second point, but feels thematically so).
  16. It's been verifying me, too, albeit without a Captcha-type thing.
  17. How many really do? The only one I can think of that's that short without speedrunning is Yin, and even then 30 minutes is a good run that probably stealth/TPs the team on the last mission.
  18. You're playing a game that's 15 years old as it is. Clearly this isn't about defending the integrity of graphics. And even if in some strange way you are, you're arguing it to a group where many if not most of them (like myself) grew up on games that looked like this, so you've got kind of an uphill battle going here.
  19. Hero side, it's not in any sort of story arc. It comes up in some standalone missions (for "Mutant" contacts, I think?) in the early 30s. They send you to go after some Lost and it's all Rikti there. Or some such. It's been a long time since I found that mission (not since the old days), so I forget much more than that. Villain-side, there's also Timothy Raymond's arcs in Nerva, also in the early 30s.
  20. Better yet: make the Shadow Cysts in mission 2 constantly spawn Nictus upon being aggroed, like all good Shadow Cysts should. >=D
  21. Yeah, this was introduced as a Homecoming (or rather, pre-HC, as a SCoRE) thing. Apparently old leadership disliked the original ending. There are a couple other tweaks to original arcs I've noticed that I'm pretty sure weren't part of the game's original development cycle, but that definitely feels like the most drastic (and the most interesting).
  22. There's very little in the game in terms of true Influence sinks. Doubling the amount of influence will thus just end up increasing prices, too, on anything that costs a significant amount of it. You want increased currency without inflation, something like "double merits" would be a better approach.
  23. ...but Ice doesn't require you to sell your morality for power. And yes, I'm totally judging you for doing that, all you "heroes" with Scorpion Shield.
