  1. But there have been sharks discovered off the coast of Florida with Cocaine in their blood. ....
  2. Marine de Deux
  3. Growth and change and are vital to keeping the game alive. The devs are mind readers, as there are two things in these updates that I have been thinking about. Adding Midnighters Club to LRT is pretty awesome. I had that thought recently as I am working on badges with one of my characters. It is a great nexus for traveling. However ... my preference🙂 ... would be that it was a separate power like Rapid Response Portal or Monitor Duty so I could use it more. But this is a very nice addition. Mark and Recall ... something like this came up many times with friends of mine I run with. Nice. I am on the road and can't test, but the Labyrinth interests me. I introduced a friend to the game. He hated it ... the maps were the same ... too easy to figure out. I work at a university. A testament to its financial stability and vitality is renovation and new buildings. New stuff. Sometimes it means that SOME people see no value in the new stuff. When you go behind the scenes, you find these were the things that COULD be done and also gave huge financial returns. My university just opened an incredible new soccer field to much outcry of WHY!!!! Then you find out there is a huge soccer community, and we can rent it out. We are being considered for nationally televised games. TV money ... oh. We could have a whole page of things addressing ideas from the Suggestion and Forums ... then people would be complaining that we did not have new power sets, new story arcs ... sigh With all these new features, there's so much to explore. Let's dive in and start playing! No ... that doesn't mean we can't share our negative feedback. I was part of the Hami discussion ...hoping that happens Been Part of other discussions for changes ... hoping they happen. I also stand against some of the suggested changes...
  4. I'd be down for something. Coulda sworn Swap Ammon was color-tintable, but it has been a while since I have been on one.
  5. Weren't Tanker melee cones widen?
  6. Yea... ... but is there anything ... you know ... new?
  7. Not gatekeeping .... even said so in my response. ... Are you not gatekeeping yourself by wanting to return to something from Issue 4 But you are right about one thing - you be you. Then, explain how it could work. I have no issues with how aggro now is, but you seem to. This is the forums, and as free as you are to post something, so are we free to respond. In addition, as has been stated, this has been argued.
  8. This is where you lose traction in your argument. You wish to have the original taunt - DO IT! There are those that wish to keep what we have now - KEEP IT There is a mantra flooding our forums recently where: "This powerset sucks -Make these changes." "This effect sucks! - Change it." "More options, more better." No. This response is not gatekeeping and trying to protect the game and keep it in a certain state. Efficient changes. Viable changes. What does our dear spaghetti code allow Changes that do make the GAME better. <--- people tend to argue from this belief ... Also, given the possible workload, is it doable with our amazing Volunteers who keep the game running? I tested a tank recently (IcE/Ice/Ice) where I slotted taunt everywhere I could ... LOL a taunt magnet.
  9. Aggro is in a good state now, given the game's pace.
  10. Wait ... There is Rum?
  11. I always thought of it like Firestorm. One name two people. But... Since you brought it up more clarification would nice 🙂
  12. Studied German in High School and a bit in Grad school. You are so right about pronunciation and spelling. ... However, it is rooted in basically one language ... English, especially American English, is made up of a variety of languages. Dialects galore. I am from Maryland and sometimes can't understand people ... especially from Baltimore. Fun story: I went to "A Comedy of Errors," where the actors were speaking English as it sounded at the time of the plays writing. So thankful there was a pre-show explaining a bit about what we were about to hear. The post-show helped, too. Still challenging to understand what was being said. And it was English.
  13. A very lengthy KB discussion brought up the idea of impact DMG when they land after being KD'd That could be fun in a building - KB-ing into walls and such
  14. The responses here make me reflect on the above thread. We fail new players and players in general by telling them something in the game could be better is awful and not to play it. I recently saw it in the General/Help channels: a new player(s) asking about this powerset or that powerset. Response: "That set is hot garbage; you should play [insert your favorite set] instead." Or something akin to that Happens here in the forums as well. Nothing in this game is bad, just depends on how you play. So ... we lead by example. We show how it can be done. I used Repel on my Fire/Kin to push stuff back into the mob got a tell: "Whoa I was told Repel was BAD and not to take it ... used that way guess not! Yes ... I am veteran of the Mothership bowl where we used this tactic I used my 2 single target powers on my Energy/Energy blaster to knock targets back into mob tell: "Guess Knockback is not that BAD" The Mothership is also where I refined this by plinking Rikti from the edge into the bowl A new player on a tank, Inv/SS, opened with Stomp every single time. Team leader told them it was best not to open with it as it scatters the mob "Ok" Done easy We lead by example. The easy answer is to just slot the SA proc. Sure ... easy. Or you could learn/teach how to actually play a powerset and utilize its powers and inherit effects It helps when there are players to imitate. I reflect on Jack's saying being a hero/villain requires choices. Therefore I do slot the SA in SOME of my powers, but not all.
  15. Energy Blast is not a troll set no matter what anyone says. I have an Energy/Energy 50. Only two powers keep their KB, and they are single target powers. One team leader sent a tell when I joined: Leader: "Do you have your KB handled?" I responded in Broadcast, General, and LFG with: "Hey [insert team leader name here] I handle my knockback the way I handle your mom .... [the rest is redacted cause I don't want to get banned here ] Lotsa laughter in the channel and I left the team. It was not the first time I had that question about that character or my PB. Any future questions will get a vitriolic but humorous response. This topic has been debated beyond ad nausea. I would love another set or two that could edit KB. A KU one would be nice.
