Discussion: Disabling XP No Longer Increases Influence
SwitchFade replied to Jimmy's topic in General Discussion
Incorrect. Please see my three posts above this, and the 20 others in this thread for facts as to why. As for casual play, you can run Yin TF in 22 minutes and get, 20 merits? 20x3=60 converters, sell them... 60x85k=5 million INF And that's just one example. In an hour of casual play, a casual can earn 20-30 million inf by doing normal content. -

Pease read relevant posts in this thread about economics, normal goods vs inferior, substitute goods, factors of supply and demand, surplus, income disparity, inflation, income concentration, price ceilings, determinates of supply and demand, time value of money, ROI, rate of exchange, etc... That I have discussed multiple times. Or you can save yourself some time and trust me when I say that this, along with several other levers of economic balancing are very necessary. -

This team actually put a great deal of thought into shutting off the valve that is already causing rampant inflation, vis a vi double INF and above. The economy on live was eventually broken by inflation, which would happen here too. This needed change and several other levers of economic balancing go hand in hand, no single lever can create equity. Which is evidence that this was well thought out. -

Incorrect, this will actually help casuals as it will drive down the cost of a basket of goods. Please read relevant posts in this thread about economics, normal goods vs inferior, substitute goods, factors of supply and demand, surplus, income disparity, inflation, income concentration, price ceilings, determinates of supply and demand, time value of money, ROI, rate of exchange, etc... That I have discussed multiple times. Or you can save yourself some time and trust me when I say again, for the umpteenth time (not to you, to everyone posting thing such as this)... Economics doesn't work that way. -

Can someone post a meme of a zombie rising from the grave? And it's damage per second? Thanks.

Cysts were removed during live. People complained about how hard they were in regular content, as well as voids, and Kheldians were shunned due to it, to some degree. So the OG devs axed them from content.

Sorry, no vote. So many threads with explanations why no vote, please refer there for explanation. -
While I have objection to the specific topic, this is like, priority 9,999 out of 10,000, where 10,000 is last. It's really very easy and not time consuming. This is similar to a thread recently where someone was complaining that the temp power "lost cure" is too end hungry... Heroworld problems, huh? Life's tough, I guess.

Understandable you may feel this way viewing the market in a snapshot, but this behavior is normal and can easily fluctuate by that margin depending on time. The prices have and will actually trend down overall. To validate, I recommend tracking those io's you bought over the next 30 days (valid sample size) at 4 distinct and fixed points in a 24 hour period, repeated each day. Drop the data per io into an Excel and run a single factor regression analysis and you will see an "r-square" value of over 80% (significant), the price average trending downward and projected to continue and then stabilize, with an alpha of 5% and a margin of error of 3-4%. -

I'm sorry, this is largely incorrect. There were exploits, the systems you refer to were never intended to function that way and they should have and we're intended to be fixed. Further, there is no valid reason something like AE should give any different reward than normal content, they should all give equal rewards Additionally I'm sorry, but, economics doesn't work the way you are discussing and even though it is a game the same principles hold true, as evinced by facts. The determinates and factors of supply and demand are immutable; they were evident before and continue to be now. I'm very sorry, but economics doesn't work that way and I've explained numerous times the how and why. Further, it's supported by evidence in-game. Rampant inflation existed before, broke the economy in game and could happen again. The inference you're making that it hasn't yet happened is due to SCALE, which is already changing and if not corrected now would have been severe. Marketeering is not half the problem as espoused, as in this economy there are no inferior goods, merely normal goods and all goods are substitutes. In such a system marketeering is a result of demand chasing and surplus will always reach equilibrium. Due to this, converting is a net positive and will actually drive prices down when rampant inflation is REMOVED. Now, the value of currency will increase, distribution will normalize and substitution will depress the sum price of a basket of goods. That's how economics works and it's already happening. -

I did tell you how it does reduce income DISPARITY. Again, how you think economics works, is not how it works. I'm very sorry. -

SwitchFade replied to Jimmy's topic in General Discussion
That's not how economics works. Marketeering, or whatever you want to call it, does not create more info, it redistributes it. The change will actually normalize distribution over time, increase the buying power or the lay-eperson and drive down prices. It's already happening. Again, that is not how income inequality, inflation, monetary distribution, value and the determinates of supply and demand work. -
Electrical Affinity "seizure" animations on allies
SwitchFade replied to Keen's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Changing the animation for the reason you espouse: no vote. Changing the animation because it's confusing and I think I'm being held by a freakshow stunner? Yes vote. You went about this wrong, homeskillet. You should have argued the case from the standpoint that the animation is shared with an effect that NPCs cast on players that tells them they are being held. I yes vote it to help is not think we're being held. That said, this is like, priority 999 out of 1,000. No vote on changing it cuz... Other reasons. It's a game. -
Suggestion: Add Hami-Os to the merit vendor

Unfortunately, I must vote no. Some things, I feel, should remain only attainable by the content they were made to be a reward for. Sorry 😣 -
