issue 26 Patch Notes for March 3rd, 2020
SwitchFade replied to The Curator's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
I see your perspective on PVP behavior, which may be valid. However, PVE behavior was, and is, exactly as I mentioned. As to MM's having better to-hit in PVP? Sure, I'm all for a thoughtful comprehensive review and discussion, so a case can be submitted to the Dev team. That is irrespective of the io, it's design and bugs with it. Perhaps a new suggestion thread is in order? -
issue 26 Patch Notes for March 3rd, 2020
SwitchFade replied to The Curator's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
It was never intended, nor was it ever stated by a Dev, that the design intent was a build up effect for a 5 second duration be applied to BOTH the character and the pet, upon summoning said pet. If it ever were behaving thusly it was a bug. Further, MM's have access to a considerable self BU effect that many other toons don't, especially solo, tactics+Gausian's. An MM with full summons has a significantly higher occurence of BU, due to that mechanic. -
Cuz... Reasons.

With a nice chianti, Clarice?

Uh... Can't tell if srsly or trollfun. I do notice something smells ridiculous though.

Cats live 16 years. Discuss.

But, does one actually WANT a hot hoochie coochie, let alone a hot Chattahoochee? And, would your Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang even work in such conditions? You might get stuck with a Boot Scoot'n Boogie.

Always nerf Regen! Make it DEGEN. Make instant healing toggle into an auto passive! And call it instant griefing! Step 1. Make toon, 4 hours in Costume creator 2. Log into Atlas Park, omgzorz awesomesauce! 3. Run up steps to globe, DEGEN does job... Dead. 4. Profit.

OP, you have a disturbing trend to want to alter most of the game in most of your posts. Seriously, this is a complete non-issue. The mission, every time I run it, takes mere minutes. And end is never an issue. No vote.

Please allow explosive arrow to ignite oil slick
SwitchFade replied to kryptochan's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Seems logical. If it's not time/labor intensive to add a 1 tic 1 damage fire DoT to ignite it, and it's not imbalancing, then I think this deserves looking in to. -
Slog nerfing? Nerf thread Necro! Nerf CareBears, nerf momma's sweet apple pie and nerf The Chattahoochee. Nerf language. Nerf 1337 sk1llz.

Wishful Thinking: Nerf AND Buff Kinetics.
SwitchFade replied to Wavicle's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Absolutely not. Kin is exactly right. Calling for a nerf to it is not what "should" happen. Moreover, the rest of the set is solid as well. /Jranger -
Wishful Thinking: Nerf AND Buff Kinetics.
SwitchFade replied to Wavicle's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Sorry to double post but further, kinetics powers are not lacking, as they each have a function. I don't take them all on every kin toon, but there's no need to change repel now that we have KB>KD and ID is fine when I want a toon that skips jump. In fact a super speed toon can basically get SJ as a kin. -

Development Philosophy and Community Servers
SwitchFade replied to Illuminant's topic in General Discussion
They're doing a fine job as is. Feedback is heard, involvement is there, transparency is great. Decisions are ordered and thoughtful and by and large are spot on. I would have to say, no more is necessary than is already being done. -
Thematically, short swords from this era were mainly thrusting and hacking weapons. Infantry from military organizations such as Roman military or Spartan military would pair these weapons with a shield, hacking and thrusting around the shield at exposed areas, such as a neck or limb. Because of this method of use, there were often severe injuries that were not instantly lethal, but injuries where profuse bleeding occured. So, if blunt weapons such as a mace cause secondary effects such as stun and axes cause similar I propose... DoT. Very quick activating, perhaps 2-3 tics, and this is where the bump in damage is. So, defininetly increase damage, perhaps a straight bump for some attacks, but perhaps some have a fast burst DoT. Adds something unique and period specific to the set

Our home. Lost to us for so many years, restored. The Homecoming Dev team have given us a wonderful gift and we are indebted. Once again we soar across the skies of Paragon, answering the call. And for this I am eternally grateful. Further, I would like to take a moment to remember a team of heroes that we too often forget, the OG Dev team. Regardless of the ups and downs along the way, I can truly say that CoH is one of a kind and the OG devs did an amazing job. Behold, the community that formed is still here and stronger than ever! A heartfelt thanks to both the OG Dev team, wherever you are, and the Homecoming Dev team. We keep a torch lit for all of you and hope you are in game with us, even if we don't know. Thanks CoH Devs!
