  1. Yes and no. The room sizes are fixed in the categories, you can't just fill all the empty space or use sizes not in that list. But what you could do is fill up the plot with large rooms connecting, then use the Doorway to all of the spaces between rooms. I am not sure this will work 100% though. Notably, I'm not sure you can attach a door to a door space. If not then you will have to plan carefully to avoid dead spots in the corners of rooms. If it's even possible to do.
  2. The big trouble I'm running into right now is a lack of decent wall pieces. And having to stack what walls we do have, which I think were meant for like, garden walls and such, so that they fill up the space between floor and ceiling. It's really fiddly and time consuming and mostly I don't like how it turns out so I keep experimenting and wind up tossing out a lot of which I try.
  3. The dev team originally wanted to make it a toggle buff, but there is apparently quite a bit of difficulty altering the game menus. Creating the XP boosters as buyable items was the compromise so players could have them.
  4. I have set my chat up with three panels. The bottom most is for character communication. Local, NPC, SG, team and whispers. Middle panel is for global communication. LFG, Help and Broadcast in one tab. Combat info in another tab and system stuff in a third. The top panel is for created channels, which I'm in 4 right now. Cape Radio gets it's own tab since it's busy and swamps everyone else out. RP and OOC are linked and most people who are in one are in the other Also conversations can reference one another, so it's important to keep them together. The Rookery channel has a lot fewer people so it stays in the same tab as RP and OOC.
  5. You aren't the only one who would love a power set like this, but it's an NPC set I'm afraid. The whip attacks come from the demon summoning Mastermind set. Unfortunately it's only three powers from the primary and all the rest revolve around summoning and buffing the demons. It's theoretically possible to have a petless Mastermind. People did it with the Thugs set before we got dual pistols as a separate thing. But it's not going to be very great... It means skipping over most of the powers of your primary and filling in with power/epic pools. Mastermind attacks are not very high damage but they are high endurance cost, so they're not super effective. You only get three attacks depending on your secondary. And most of those are buffing/debuffing sets. The attacks from power pools are lackluster as well but you will need all the help you can get. It can be done, but it certainly will not be a 'meta' pick.
  6. Well... non-existent right now. I had to go through several iterations before finding a set up that works, and then I have been focusing on getting it functional. Now that I have that going I can start going through and making it look pretty.
  7. Eh... Sadly the kind of people who are going to get upset and flame people over missed tells are not the ones that are going to listen to this kind of request. They think their tells/requests/demands/way of playing is the most important and they will let you know it no matter what anyone says. Even in a City of Heroes there are going to be some Guy Gardners.
  8. I loved doing Frostfire with Abigail and Abraham. Wonderful costumes and delightfully off/slightly creepy vibes that's so perfect. I'm still hashing out some details and ideas about the family, mostly being concerned with the immediate family though I imagine there are dozens of aunts, uncles and cousins about. I have the sibling's parents as William and Wilhelmina, aged 201 and 182 respectively. With the kind of mindset someone born in the 1800s who doesn't interact much with the modern world. If you think your parents can't program a VCR, they don't even understand what one is, and are pretty dismissive of it. Alison is 70, but in an awkward state where she thinks and feels more like someone a third of her age, but is acutely aware she's much older. She constantly butts heads with the parents and elders over the modern world, use of technology and her sexuality (she's lesbian, figured it out after hearing about the Stonewall riots going on). She's managed to sneak a wifi hotspot through a permanent dimensional portal to the Manor and is sometimes obsessed with the 'cellphone' they gave her when she registered as a hero. The Manor itself is somewhat undefinable. Being in a pocket dimension bordering between Primal Earth and the Chaos Dimension the land and house changes over time. Though the will and power of the Wonderland family keep it somewhat stable looking like an old, rather creepy Addams family like Victorian house with impossible rooms and gardens with some.. unusual plants in them. Of course, as always feel free to alter things to suit your characters. Part of the fun is making it your own and I put it in a shadow realm so we have reason for it to be flexible.
  9. How many enhancement slots are there at level 50 then? I personally love the fact that we have 70 enhancement slots in the trays now. I remember the olden days when you had to buy and slot 10 at a time. I did think it a bit odd when I respeced at 25 that it didn't resell and was kind of annoyed I had to drop them into the tray so I could sell manually later. Hopefully it's something that isn't difficult to change to revert it back to unusued enhancements are sold after a respec.
  10. Angry School Girl - Though the humor is really the concept, not the punny name. She's an ordinary 16 year old high schooler going to Paragon High. So on a daily basis she has to deal with super gangs, magical kidnappers, world conquering megalomaniacs and alien invasion Thursdays. So she's packing Longbow standard assault rifle and gear and is just So. Done. With. This.
  11. You misspelled 'powerexec_name' You reversed the x and c. To remove a bind it's /unbind enter or whatever the key is. I don't know if you an bind a null. Beginchat needs another arguement for the channel you are chatting in. like 'beginchat /send Local'. If you want to send to the active channel the command is 'showchat$$startchat'
  12. It's okay, we can level you up again. We should try to get some of the family together for a bunch of missions, and I need to invite everyone into the SG. As well as work on the base. Do you know if people have to be online to invite them? I should try and see if I can send out invites people can accept when they're next on. Then people can use the amenities of Casa de Wonderland.
  13. Beast MM is one of the sets I wanted to try but had a hard time wrapping my head around a concept. So, an Irish druid named Morrigan MacIntyre who's kind of a wereworld with beast/nature powers. It's working out nicely so far.
  14. Hey Rooky. Congrats on Nixie. Now I kinda feel like I wanna work on one of my fae concepts. Unfortunately the only one I have right now is the ebil Lucifer's Flower. I had several fae based characters back on live... I guess maybe my druid beast MM works the same? She's not fae herself, but works with em? *hops up on a FBBC and pokes the servers*
  15. Hi, I'm Ali and I am so an altoholic. It was City that set me on this path so many years ago, but can you blame me? With all these option how can you not want to try them out? Back in the day I only ever managed to hit 50 on two characters, one hero and one villain. I had many in the 40s to 10s range though, at all levels. I've already exceeded the number of current characters on the servers than I had back on live. But not the number of characters I made then abandoned for more space. I even kept pictures of all my characters I had on live at the time of the shut down just in case, or to remake on other games.
  16. People mostly do it for flavor for their Arachnos archetypes. They grab titles from existing NPCs to use for characters that are technically rank and file. Most of the titles are poorly defined if at all, so generally don't read too much into it. It's just better to be 'Arbiter Cross' than 'Bob, the Arachnos guy'.
  17. City of Heroes is an over the counter medication. Please see a doctor if your joy lasts for more than four weeks. Side effects may include giggles, giddiness, extreme happiness, loss of sleep, altitis and rage at that damn layer cake room. Please use as directed.
  18. *noms on a powdered donut and gets sugar everywhere* Look! It's Christmas in June!
  19. *Jaws theme starts to speed up*
  20. Oh my god don't give me an excuse to make more alts... *weeps in eternally teen levels*
  21. To go back and do content you've missed you have two options. Ouro or find someone who can get the mission and play it with them. AFAIK there is no way to willingly 'de-level' yourself to pick up missions you missed. Ouroboros was their answer to that. It should be noted that you can get a base item that gives you Ouro missions. No need to visit the Menders.
  22. Did... did someone say donuts?
  23. I think it would be hard to customize the existing pets because the modeling is baked right in to the powers. As much as we'd like customizable and colorable minions the way we do our costumes and power sets I think it was just too much time/effort for Paragon Studios, much less the fan servers working part time with hand-me-down spaghetti code. If we could pick from a list of similar NPCs for our pets that would be fantastic though, and probably get most of us really close to what we would like... Robot MMs with old school Clockworks. Thugs based on different gangs. Replace demons with the Tuatha or Tikis. The options would be huge. I myself would super love to be able to swap out thugs on one of my masterminds for female Skulls members. The character is Geisterdamen "Ghost Women", as a homage to The Shadow. A masked figure in a trench coat dealing out two fisted justice with pistols who sometimes is backed up by gang members she's rehabilitated. Yet all my "Ghost Women" are men....
  24. *wanders in wearing dusty overalls and a hard had and heads over to a chefbot* Water, on the rocks and make it a double. Well, I'm getting the hang of this 'building outside the base now'. Though I do wish that things like walls and fences had snapping points instead of having to line them up by hand. It's not horrible to do, but it could be a lot easier to run a length of fencing if they would just snap together. Unfortunately I don't think I can really do what I was wanting to do originally. My thought for Wonderland Manor was to build the house and gardens above the base area, then go back inside the base proper and build catacombs with teleporters to get between. The trouble is that the base builder was never really meant for that kind of big outdoor building and there's not a large amount of pieces suitable for building a home. Especially an older, brick and wood spooking kind of place. I could probably still do it... but it's kind of an amount of investment would be way over the return situation. So time to rethink... I'll probably do a more traditional base with rooms decorated and divided up to represent the house. Probably do a large open space for the garden with a fake sky roof and all. I could still do an 'above the base' garden area. Then I can use the new teleporter beacons to link the 'garden', 'house' and 'catacomb' areas.
  25. I am glad people enjoy it. Originally Alison Wonderland was to be a witch who was older than she looked who helped protect against chaos and all that, still the same. Her name however was meant to be a punny pseudonym. With people making Wonderland sibling characters though I expanded it out to make a whole family. So feel free to add what you like to the story. William and Willamena are the sibling's parents, but I haven't fleshed out the rest of the family tree in case people make more characters.
